It is an amazing plateform for tutoring. I loved it.

Lack of transparency and output
I spent nearly three years on FindTutors and in that time received no genuine student enquiries — only messages from bots and other tutors testing the platform. In the same period, with a like-for-like profile on comparable platforms, I generated tens of thousands of pounds in revenue. FindTutors simply does not deliver what it implies.
To add to this, I was recently charged an auto-renewal fee for a Verified Teacher 'subscription' I had originally purchased in February 2025. The payment appeared on my bank statement under the name TUSclases — a company name I did not recognise and had no prior relationship with. I received no confirmation email when I originally signed up, and no advance notice that a renewal charge would be taken. When I raised this, their response described the charge as a "one-time annual fee" — which is a contradiction in terms for an auto-renewing subscription.
Despite a detailed and evidenced complaint, they refused to issue a refund, citing terms and conditions I was never clearly directed to at the point of sign-up. Their customer service was polite but entirely unmovable.
I have now closed my account and would strongly caution any tutor considering this platform — both in terms of the lack of genuine student traffic and the lack of transparency in their billing practices.

My Computer Science and Mathematics Teacher Miss Javeria Hamdani costs less and pay more through her dedication towards her students. Passed my exam with the preparation of 4_5 months with absolute grades.

I’ve had a truly wonderful experience learning Arabic with this tutor. From the very first lesson, I felt comfortable, supported, and motivated to improve.
Arabic can be a challenging language, especially when it comes to grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structure, but the way my tutor explains everything makes it much easier to understand. They are extremely patient and never make me feel embarrassed about making mistakes. Instead, mistakes are treated as part of the learning process, and every correction comes with a clear explanation, which has helped me improve consistently.
What I appreciate most is the structured yet flexible teaching style. Each lesson is well-prepared and organized, but also adapted to my personal level and goals. We practice speaking, reading, writing, and listening in a balanced way, which makes the learning experience complete and effective.
The tutor also encourages me to speak as much as possible, even when I hesitate. This has significantly improved my confidence. I feel that I am not just memorizing vocabulary, but actually learning how to communicate naturally in Arabic.
Another great aspect is the positive and professional attitude. The lessons are always engaging, supportive, and productive. I genuinely feel progress after every session.
I highly recommend this tutor to anyone who wants to learn Arabic in a structured, encouraging, and effective way. I’m very grateful for the support and guidance, and I’m excited to continue improving.

Learning a new Language can often be daunting, overwhelming and tedious.
Mariam is the answer! With her vast multi-lingual knowledge and genuine interest in not only learning new languages but also immersing herself in the culture, she offers so much more than dry YouTube videos.
Not only that, but Mariam has a very warm and joyful character, which takes the boredom out of learning a new language and makes it fun!
If you are looking to learn a new language, look no further-Mariam is the answer!

He was a great teacher taught me for 5 years, and I made all A*s in my subjects
Totally misleading!
Saw a life coach for students job advertised on Total Jobs for this company, applied for it and then, a few days later, was sent a link to apply to them directly. The job was NOT as described, very misleading!!

Findtutors is a participant in fraud -- this multi-decade doctoral-level tutor only received phony tutoring job offers, from a third-world country, offering to pay immense amounts for economic reviews. UPON REPORTING THIS FRAUD TO FINDTUTORS, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CORPORATE LEVELS NEVER RESPONDED AT ALL!
Beware fake and phony tutoring offers, and BEWARE FINDTUTORS, THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY AND SHAMEFULLY IGNORE SCAMS ON THEIR WEBSITE!
Terrible -
Terrible - an ageist company who's small print only accepts a small minority niche amount of young people - often with less or little to no experience of teaching. They have small print buried somewhere in their website also of this and which says which Uni's students they accept as well, which is also niche and discrimatory (however my uni was on the list) - when i challenged them on the practice of why they will only interview potential employees of a certain age on the chat function - they said because teaching works better in their experience if people are closer in age. Not only is this ridiculous statement they made not scientifically backed but it is absolute nonsense. They are also in breech possibly of discriminatory laws in the UK - because of what they have told me and because of not interviewing me because of my age. I asked them why they had not interviewed me - the answer they gave was my age. I'm not 70, 80, 60 etc and even if I was they should be looking for good tutors with experience. The UK's Equality Act 2010 protects people from discrimination in the workplace and in wider society based on a variety of characteristics. This includes Age - so maybe the regulators need to investigate this company and shut them down. I for one am very happy for them to read the entire online chat conversation that was had

Scammers and Fraudsters;
This is my personal experience and honest opinion of FindTutors (findtutors.co.uk), and I feel a responsibility to warn tutors and learners as strongly as possible.
This website operates in a way that is deeply misleading, unsafe, and full of red flags. From what I personally experienced, the platform is flooded with fake tutor profiles, fabricated student requests, and what appear to be mass-produced fake tutors and learner IDs and accounts. These are presented as real to lure in new tutors and learners, but in fact, the entire system feels engineered to trap people into paying money without receiving any real service in return.
One of the most disturbing parts of my experience was discovering hidden subscription charges I never knowingly agreed to. They stored my card details without my clear consent and then took monthly payments £30 from my account without authorisation. This happened repeatedly, and when I finally confronted them, the responses I received were full of excuses, deflection, and empty promises. Even when clear evidence was shown, they still refused to refund the money.
Another scam method; learners must pay £20 or more just to message a tutor, completely unaware that the tutor's profile is entirely fake, meaning they will never receive a reply while they have already been charged. Countless victims online describe the exact same pattern: money taken, no response, no service, and no accountability.
After looking into reviews from other users, I realised that my experience was not an isolated mistake—there are many people reporting similar issues, including unauthorised payments, fake profiles, no refunds, and a complete lack of responsibility from the website.
Based on my direct experience, FindTutors operates in a way that raises serious concerns and poses real risks to anyone who signs up, such as being scammed, storing personal and financial data, which puts them even further scam and fraud activities. I strongly believe the website needs to be investigated, monitored, and held accountable for the harm it is causing to both tutors and learners. UK online trading and financial regulatory authorities must be informed and official complaints must be logged against them.
Until that happens, my advice is simple: stay away from this site. The risks are far too high.
Scam
Scam.
They advertise themselves as "work place" where in fact they just want you to sign up to their website and take you money.
BEWARE FINDTUTORS, WHO TAKE MONTHS TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE SCAMS!
AFTER REPEATEDLY IGNORING COMPLAINTS TO FINDTUTORS CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THEIR TUTORING SERVICE WAS BEING USED BY SCAMMERS TO BILK PROSPECTIVE TUTORS BY OFFERING VERY LARGE PAYMENTS FOR PHONY EDITING JOBS IN LONDON, LEEDS, AND ELSEWHERE, FINDTUTORS FINALLY RESPONDED THAT THEY HAD REALIZED THE ISSUE -- FOUR MONTHS AFTER MY COMPLAINT! BEWARE THIS UNTRUSTWORTHY TUTORING SERVICE, WHICH TAKES MONTHS TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE ISSUES! THEIR PART IN SUCH SCAMS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL POLICE DEPTS.!

Poor Service and Transparency
Like many people I browsed a few tutor sites. I looked on this one and twice tried to contact a tutor who did not reply. The website then said "Ups - looks like they've unsubscribed". I was not clear that I was signing up to a subscription plan just for looking but even if I was the service is poor and obviously not monitored. I just found out they auto-renewed my subscription without informing me. I found a tutor on another site which only charges you a finders-fee if you find a tutor and accept lessons, a much fairer system.

This is a scam
This is a scam. Their student advertisements are old and don't have any date. Student ads are mixed with tutor ads. Disingenuous adverts. Lack of transparency about payments. No contact details given. They took £29 from me, for what they say it was a 'Verified' status of the account. After 1 hour, when I realised that this is not a serious company, I cancelled my account and asked for my money back. They did not refund me .

Lol... they are a joke.
They lure you with a promise of a job on platforms like LinkedIn. If you just give them ANY contact (applying for example, cause maybe you are looking for a job) they send you mails and chatbots on linkedin to push you into their net even more. Once you arrive on their platform, there is no job, you can just give them money to have a profile on their teaching community. YOU (a person in need for a job) must give them money even before finding a single student. If you do the profile but don't subscribe (cause the subscribe clause obv is in the end) they start sending you fake students (AI BOTS) that pretend they are into lessons but ehy... you need to subscribe first.
Just copypaste such messages in any program that can identify AI written script and the trick is shown.
This is bordeline scam.
