Very disappointing
Where to start? Met with unwelcoming have you booked a table? - no good evening etc. shown to some steep stairs - I am 79 and my husband is 80 but we were not asked if we could manage stairs - surely they could keep a table for four downstairs free in case someone with mobility problems booked? Most of upstairs room was taken up with a huge group of raucous, loud people with about 4 equally loud children/babies. This made for a very uncomfortable ambience where we could hardly hear each other speak. Waited an unacceptable time to be offered drinks and one drinks order was incorrect. There were 3 sea bass meals offered on the menu - 2 of our party wanted sea bass - guess what - no sea bass! (Our booking was for 7pm so how did they run out?) Another of our party of four wanted lamb ragout - not available! I ordered chicken which was ok but the extra sauce that I ordered with it didn't appear until I had almost finished my meal - we asked twice and were told the chef forgot to make it! Dessert menu was not the most varied or inviting to start with and once again one item was not available! The young waitress was lovely and tried her best in difficult circumstances. As you can guess we will not be going there again.
