"Fire & Wild: A Disappointing Rip-Off"
I recently dined at Fire & Wild, it was far from the exceptional dining experience I had anticipated. The advertised promises of a captivating culinary journey into the wild, complete with foraged ingredients, carefully selected wines, signature cocktails, and engaging storytelling, were sadly unfulfilled.
During our visit, we received none of the promised introductions to foraged ingredients or wines, and the wild cocktails were completely missing. The storytelling element, which was highlighted as a key feature, was entirely absent, leaving us feeling disconnected from the experience.
The service left much to be desired as well. Our host arrived late, offered minimal information, and failed to engage with us throughout the meal. Waiters served our food without any explanations, and the chef's menu introduction, a supposed highlight, never happened. We had to repeatedly ask for water and wine, and our glasses were often left empty.
Considering the high cost of the meal and the unmet expectations, I cannot recommend Fire & Wild. It was meant to be a special occasion, but it turned out to be a significant letdown. While the venue did provide some elements of the service, the overall experience did not align with their marketing claims. Moreover, they have completely ignored my emails to them voicing these concerns.
I am left feeling that these guys are just taking absolute advantage of people, if they started this venture with any genuine passion, it has since left and they are running a cynical barebones operation to milk what they can before skipping off. The other dinners that we chatted to when leaving were similarly disappointing.
In short - as the title says, a disappointing rip-off, spend your time and money elsewhere.
