Five Guys Croydon Poor service to a paying customer again.
Cold Cold Cold food - Monday 13th March bought a meal through Deliveroo cheese burger fries drink as I was ill and unable to cook for myself. The fries were dried out most likely sitting over the vat before being fried therefore dehydrated before they were even cooked. I’ve notice they always have fries cut sitting over the vat whenever I go in restaurant. The fries were like cardboard and cold. The Cheese Burger was cold which I wouldn’t expect as it's foil wrapped. I’ve bought five guys a few times before via Deliveroo and this is the 2nd time the burger’s cold. I didn’t call the Five Guys in Croydon about the disgusting food at the time because by the time I got my order the restaurant was closed.
I complained in February 2022 which happened to be the last time I’ve ordered from Five Guys so it’s disappointing that’s nothings changed a year later. Even that experience was traumatic to say the least. On complaining before I was advised by the manager to come into restaurant for replacement order but I couldn’t do it straight away due to a family bereavement. I walked into the restaurant a week after the complaint call and they called me a liar until I could prove the fact by showing them my wife’s banking statement, they treated me very bad at the till and I was very emotionally distressed as the circumstances of my bereavement. Only when they realised they went to far with their disgusting behaviour did they backed down and then tried to offer me everything under the sun in the restaurant as compensation when all I wanted was my original meal that I paid for replaced. Monday the 13th March I made the mistake again. I understand l fries can get cold but not a foil wrapped freshly cooked burger. I’ve bought food and taken it home without it getting cold and there’s also been occasions in the past where I’ve receive hot food via Delivery service. I blame FiveGuys not Deliveroo as I suspect the food quality was poor before it left the restaurant. What a waste of time and money. I doubt I’ll order from Five Guys again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Spent £50 on burgers
Spent £50 on burgers, fries and milkshake. Via Deliveroo the burgers were squashed and the fries as cold as the milkshake. Not worth the money, will never again
