Locking people out of accounts
For some reason in recent years & months, flickr has locked out many users & forcing them change their passwords without access to their yahoo email accounts which is your only link to your flickr account. A puzzling business model. Flickr use to be awesome. They seem to be very intrusive lately. One friend was locked out for a year & half and when he questioned the flickr staff via email because you can't talk to anyone, They cited account security which is puzzling since I do my banking online & manage my credit cards online as well. The banks & credit card companies have never done this practice. What the hell!?!? Something else is going on that they are not being honest about. Poor business model for a site that use to be awesome.

I use this website now to share some of my photos. I think It is a good website but recently very few activities at there and I think if they had a system for evaluating photos that would be better. I mean if others or some professional photographers could evaluate your work by numbers for example that was helpful to know if your work Is good.
Flickr sucks!
Since going through latest change of ownership/management it has gone from good to awful. I'm a paying Pro subscriber. Recently, I wanted to change my email address associated with my account, so I hit the "change email address" link in my settings. Flickr support demanded that I send them account and credit card info to prove my ownership of account. Really dumb ____ Looking for a good substitute that will allow seamless migration. Any suggestions?
Betrayal, hypocrisy and poor service
Although this article is from 2018, it is pertinent for today, in May 2021, because Flickr just deleted my account and all its content for violations of user terms, in supposedly posting others photos, WITHOUT EVER WARNING ME BEFOREHAND. I hardly did and the ones that were, were not hidden but labeled as such under the notations "webfinds" and "mods". They have no phone number to talk to a live person and I have been waiting for a return e-mail
In short, Flickr SUCKS!!!

Customer Service Ignoring Me
Customer Service Ignoring Me
I reached out to Flickr regarding someone who posted (without permission) photos they took of me with my full name on them. They stated they were not going to remove the photos or my name. I followed up asking why they could not remove them so that I could decide how to proceed next and they never responded. I emailed them a couple more times and even emailed them from another email address just in case something had gone awry, and still they never responded... This is not okay and certainly is not indicative of their claim on their site: "We are a customer support team delivering the best 1-1 care in the business." Clearly a good customer support team doesn't ignore someone reaching out for help and clarity.
And here I am again
And here I am again! yet again have I been targeted and told that my pictures break community guidelines, This time they have restricted my account for an auto upload feature that takes my pictures from my desktop to a private folder that they state no one else can see. However I am breaking rules because I never moderated those private folders that only i am able to see not the community. When it took me ages to finally work out how to stop this happening and asking for my restriction to be lifted they have only placed previously adult rated pictures into a safe category themselves and accusing me of doing that. There is zero complaints procedure and very little communication regarding this, they do not even respond to what you write. The service is awful and very stressful I actually feel like I am being targeted. this goes against my own rights, they have changed the rating on the pictures, they have invaded my own privacy by viewing my private back up camera roll and restricted me on that. Service is very poor, this literally is the 3rd time this has happened to me, i am so careful with rating my pictures and they just keep finding ways to restrict my content.
Horrible Horrible
Horrible Horrible. We have had Flickr for years. I did a lot of work on our photos, with history and information and then when they switched something happened. Hubby thought that he might have discontinued. But, found that July 20 we had a payment taken out of our checking. And now, they removed our account and no way to get our photos or account back.
One employee responded said it's been six months, wouldn't have been yet. Horrible horrible. Can't even reach them on the phone you have to email them.

If you fancy a trip down the memory…
If you fancy a trip down the memory lane back into 2004, this is the place. It's cluttered, slow and feels as if it was designed to be difficult to use. The only good thing was the 1TB of storage, now that's gone there's no reason to use this dumpsterfire of a service.

Extremely poor service
Extremely poor service, for some unknown reason my restricted content changed banding to a safe content, this was not of my doing, I have had my account restricted, I have written I don’t know how many times to have my photos reviewed as I am not breaking the banding rules for the pictures, they have shown me pictures that are marked as safe on their screen and restricted on mine. Customer service is only one way so they do not respond beyond telling me to review my content, I have. I have requested they look into why my pictures changed banding and why they are seeing different to what I am. I have written to the email requesting a complaint be raised and they are totally ignored, what exactly did I pay a 2 year membership for? It certainly wasn’t for flickers rubbish customer service! Awful ☹️ if I could give a minus score I would, I do not think the membership is worth anything at all! You don’t get anything for your money! Absolutely disgusted that they do not respond beyond telling me to review something that I can’t change and have reviewed.
