We are a small woodwork workshop for…

We are a small woodwork workshop for people with disabilities, we reached out to flue supplies asking for a donation of some flue equipment as another company had donated a log burner to us, but unfortunately could not supply the flue ,a lovely lady Amanda asked her directors and they sent all we needed to assemble the flue cannot fault this company and very charitable what they have done will change a lot of people's lives, and stop them worrying about putting heating on at home in the daytime.

My concern turned out to be unnecessary.

I was a little concerned, when I ordered the flue liner and associated parts, by the number of poor reviews. However, the delivery was very quick, next day, and although the cardboard box was a bit damaged the contents inside were intact apart from a slight crushing of the end of the flue liner. Although I didn't measure the overall length of the liner it seemed significantly longer than I had ordered as the ends I cut off were longer than expected. After unpacking the liner I noticed that there was no flow direction arrows on the liner. I called the contact phone number and after a short wait to be put through to their technical support the issue was resolved quickly and the flow direction identified.
With a bit better packing and protection around the end of the flue liner at the bottom of the box and clear labelling of the flow direction I would have rated them 5 stars.
The flue liner and associate parts are excellent quality and overall the price was lower than others I looked at.

Originally I thought this company were…

Originally I thought this company were good. They worked out what I needed for my installation. However when it arrived they had over specified and so it cost me £90 for a flue that wasn’t required. I sent it back at my cost. It took them 7 days to inform me that the flue had arrived damaged and so they would not refund. In the pictures they sent me the courier had clearly damaged it as the cardboard was damaged. Flue supplies though didn’t report this and now expect me to take the loss.

DISGUSTED with this. DO NOT use this company.

Avoid these cowboys

Avoid these cowboys. Worked for them for a few years. Left on medical grounds. No p45. Screwed my pension up. BTW no difference between the quality or make up of the steel in the liners.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. Received product wasn't as per image. Returned to seller for credit (received by seller 17/10) so far no refund received. Emailed several times without any response.

I rang for advice on replacing a cowl

I rang for advice on replacing a cowl/rain cover for my vans’ woodburner. I gave a detailed account of how the original one had been damaged so they were well aware it was for a van. I was directed to a particular item that was suitable and paid for it. It was HUGE and certainly not suitable for my van. It was ridiculous. Despite me buying on the advice of seller I had to return it at my own cost (nearly £6) but was refunded £11 less so it looks as though I’ve paid for the postage coming to me too ! Not impressed.

Excellent Customer Service

We use these guys regularly and always receive excellent service. Kally in the Sheffield branch goes above and beyond.
They've never let us down on delivery, always next day and they're willing to put themselves out if we ever miss anything off the order. Highly recommended.

Product arrive damaged

Product arrive damaged. 10m stainless steel flue was torn. I was asked to coil back up the damaged flue which tore and cut my arms. The box it came in was so thin, when repacking the box tore further. The packing was not fit for delivery, so certainly not return.

On the hand their customer service is spot on and that makes up for a lot. Review your packing guys.

Happy Enough

I use these guys quite a bit and I'm generally happy with what they give me… the delivery is sometimes a bit hit and miss but that's not necessarily there fault.

Damaged items due to no packaging!

Posted us a coiled flue liner adequately packaged inside a big cardboard box. The other items we had ordered were loose in the bottom on the box without any packaging and arrived bent out of shape and useless. Why not just package the items properly? Who is going to install a bent chimney cowl?

Customer services were happy to replace the damaged items however first a courier needed to collect them before new ones could be sent out. Another waste of time added to our already delayed wood burner installation due to their poor packaging. Wouldn't order from Flue Supplies again.

Next day delivery is not true

Next day delivery is not true. Twice I've ordered from this company with the promise of next day delivery and waited in for a delivery that did not materialize. Be warned don't expect or plan for next day delivery when it is promised.

AVOID FLUE SUPPLIES!!

AVOID FLUE SUPPLIES!!! Appalling customer service. Failed to send me all of my order in one go but didn't bother to tell me that the most expensive component had been damaged in transit. I was completely unaware of any issue at all until checking through the order with my installer - I called them to find out why this piece was missing. They couldn't tell me upfront and had to call me back. They called back hours later to say it has been damaged in transit and returned to them. Surely in this situation you call the customer to advise a new one will be sent but not Flue Supplies! They don't give two craps whether your order gets delivered in once piece or not! Don't bother trying to get them to compensate you either, they don't care enough about their company image to rectify customers problems at all. The best they could do was offer some percentage off a future order... helpful when you have already ordered everything you need for your one and only woodburner installation!! I wouldn't have been using them again anyway but now I would advise everyone to avoid using them in the first place!! Steer well clear!!!

Bought Flue components from these…

Bought Flue components from these people for a Wood Burner. Bits damaged, one piece the wrong size and just hassle to get it sorted with them. Their Qualit Control is not at all good. I ended up losing a day's wages because I'd booked the job with a customer that I then couldn't do.

All good so far

I've purchased a few things with Flue Supplies over the last couple of years and not had any problems with them yet. Easy to order online. Their call staff are really helpful and deliveries are prompt.

BEWARE CALL CHARGES!!!

BEWARE CALL CHARGES!!!
If you ring on the advertised contact number.. 0844 8006586 you will be charged a small fortune. I placed an order over the phone and it cost me over £12.00 in phone charges... there is no warning so my advice is to order online!!!

The number was at a rate of 6p per minute but the additional charges come from your service provider. We have noted this and have now changed to a local rate number 0344 800 6586 and is free to call with most telephone/mobile packages.

What a poor inefficient uncaring company

What a poor company! Next day delivery - what a joke - took 4 days in the end after numerous failed promises and a lot of chasing.
On their website they state they "set up to provide exceptional customer service" - I think they meant exceptionally poor! - They were so rude, unhelpful, inefficient and uncaring. They told yarn after yarn.
When I ordered I was told they only use their own transport. Then later blamed everything on the third party courier - who they couldn't contact or give me contact details for. I'll not be using Flue Supplies ever again!

Box too small. Flue liner coiled below recommended radius limit potentially compromising product warranty.

Beware this company.
I purchased the liner through Flexi Flue Direct but the liner was packed and shipped by Flue Supplies.
Flue Supplies coiled the liner into a box smaller than required to keep it above the minimum radius limit - this risks damaging the liner and voiding the warranty.
I don't know if this is a deliberate policy to dodge warranty claims (how many warranty claims may have been unfairly rejected because of 'poor installation' procedure?) but it is certainly poor quality control and would be a potential health and safety issue if the flue is getting damaged and leaking in use.
Trading standards have been advised of the issue.
