Worst loyalty program
Can earn miles and XP points only if flying KLM or Air France...any oher partners like Transavia or Malaysian airlines - forget about it. At this point the known small print comes in handy when only certain flying class will give you some points (first, business) and in most cases none! Same goes for other claims, like lost luggage...you will spend hours trying to find where and how to claim costs, keep running in a circle being forwarded from one FAQ to another till you give up, which is exactly what they want you to do. Another dissapoitment is cooperation with Accor awards.... same story..lots of PR yet in most cases no miles and certainly no XP points are granted and you're being pushed between Helpdesk of both programs... Thus if you're a frequent flyer...consider starting with another program... Not worth investing in KLM and FB. Speaking from experience - FB gold status...time to move on to another program !
Flyingblue Bad Company
The miles from flying blue are basically worthless if you were to buy something using your miles the equivalency would be a $5 pack of cards is a $100 on their website it's an absolute scam and it's amazing that they're still in business.
Flying Blue keeps changing it's rules…
Flying Blue keeps changing it's rules for the worse. I have the distinct feeling they literally hate their passengers. There can be no other explanation to the lack of respect onboard and in their fare policies. It's so sad that such a great program has collapsed. I have been Platinum for 7 years and don't even care about making lifetime (lifetime of the program that they can cancel at any time). Disgusting
I have had a terrible experience with…
I have had a terrible experience with Flying Blue. Customer assistants contradict each other. I have been a flying blue member for 20 years and have always flown KLM to keep my airmiles current. They have made a mistake on my booking and despite me ringing them 7 days ago, they have not amended it. I am supposed to be flying tomorrow
They are basically useless
They are basically useless. The only benefit is access to a lounge where there is a little more space but the refreshments are actually worse than at other, pay-for airport outlets. No complimentary upgrades ever, and I even reached their Platinum level. I for one will switch to other, and it pains me to know that I will have to partially stick with them until I build up status with another programme. The Flying Blue lead airline, Air France, is generally rude and will cheerfully rob you at every opportunity. When they make mistakes and you ask them to fix those, they just drag on hoping you would eventually give up. The worst Flying Blue and Air France office is the Romanian office (which I am most familiar with). But I have seen most of their lounges, and interacted with their offices elsewhere over the years and I have no reason to believe they are better in any way.
Flying blue. One membership per airline needed
Flying Blue is nicely getting you to take your membership cards. They also cried during Covid about not having flight and requested states subsidies. At the end Air France employees lost nothing, not even their privilege the best in the world especially on international travel.
But customer, they don’t care about them. Gold/platinum member have access to the lounge, oh but maybe I forgot to tell you that is only on international flight except if you are China eastern member. Because within Flying Blue, depending on the airlines your have not the same advantages.
So after 30 years including 7 years of platinum member I will say to sky team the same thing they always say when there is an issue: I am
Sorry but star alliance or One world are real alliance not just make believe
Scam beware
Scam beware, told me there is one seat left in premium and nothing in business. There are a lot of seats available in both cabins. Used 47,500 points to upgrade to "the last seat in premium". Use Delta SkyMiles instead, this is a complete fraud and a waste of Amex points. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that's not possible, I can send an email instead LOL. Looks like they outsource their whole team per the different accents that I spoke to. DISGUSTING ORG never again.
Terrible website, program and customer service
Terrible website and program. It takes around 2 days for your miles to be available when you try to buy some for the short of miles when you are about to buy a cheap reward ticket. Don't buy miles ever because you'll wait for the miles to be available and eventually lose the ticket you want to buy. When I finally have enough miles and about to book the flight, it gave me technical issue and let me call them. So I did and no one answered for more than 20 minutes, and in the next day, I tried to call again and found out my number got blocked by their human customer service and there's only bot. I used my wife's phone to call, but they told me the booking I made last night is already gone and asked me to book with full price.
Don't make the same Mistake I did
I had enough points to book 2 flights, I transferred them to Flying blue and it was the biggest mistake ever. Not enough for half of one flight. I feel cheated, to make matters worse the site and customer service are terrible. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
Virtually useless
Virtually useless frequent flyer and awards programme with ridiculous (expiring) miles requirements. A make-up remover set costs 10,425 miles (?!). Can't (easily?) sort products by miles, must (apparently) check them individually (?!).
Update (02/26/2026): Improved points program by making every qualifying activity refresh your entire balance and extend the validity of all your Miles to 24 months.
Really rude and horrible customer…
Really rude and horrible customer service team. Didn’t bother responding for over 3 months and then just a rude and curt email. Don’t have a negative star to award.
Cheat you on claiming missing miles
if you want to claim missing miles for flights that were flown with a partner airline although sold as KLM they insist that you must provide them with the boarding passes even though you have provided them with both the ticket number and the booking code. if there's one thing that Flying Blue knows its that people throw boarding passes away once a flight is complete, so they require the boarding pass as a sneaky way to deny you your miles.
The worst service
The worst service! Called many times, on hold for a hour and then disconnects
Can't even order from store to spend my miles
So I have 122K miles to spend by end May before expiry. It's been 2 days I have been trying to order Parking Vouchers from the Flyingblue store but have been unsuccessful so far. At the checkout I am always confronted by a technical error "there was a problem creating your order. If the problem persists please contact customer support".
Looking at everyone's comment on the quality of the customer support, this is contacting them is the last thing I want to do. Anyway I checked the "Contact Us" and ended up to a stupid form which I filled out but nothing happened so far. And for the "phone number" the only number shown on the support page is... the VAT number of the company ! Very useful...
Really, what company in 2023 can experience poor online buying experience, have severe feedbacks from clients but does nothing about it and continues to offer a broken online platform ? They should be called Flying Boo seriously.
Horrible customer support and fake discount codes
Horrible, I managed to get to silver level just to find out they are the worst rewards system in the world. I've got a discount code from flying blue that I couldn't use for a reservation and the moment I try to get support from them they transfer me to "reservations", when I explain to reservations that my flying blue code is not working they transfer me with flying blue just to be transfer to reservations again, an infinite loop of nothingness.
I have had many issues with flights…
I have had many issues with flights over the years. Now my miles expired from inactivity. Almost as bad as Frontier. Canceled my Flying Blue account and will rule out these airlines in the future because of the cheap expiring miles program.
I had my miles taken from me …
I had my miles taken from me and they refused to return. Told me to buy an air ticket and they would extend. And so I bought a Biz Class ticket. Then after they told me need to fly in x period else it is still not valid. What a waste of my ticket. Don't fall into their trap.
I think they are trying to make back for 3 years lost. Will never fly with them again.
Even highlighted to them Asia opened up only last year with tons of restrictions. And only now do we really get to travel freely.
And KLM does not even have qualifying flight then. And their local office told me I can’t take KLM as it does not have green channels then.
The worst airline rewards shop!
The worst airline rewards shop you will ever encounter!
Order delayed by over 8 weeks. No update. No explanation. No reply to the Contact Us form.
I contacted the supplier called Sparco / Touch Incentive directly and realised what 'birds of a feather flock together' really means! Again no reply for weeks. When I asked them to cancel my order and refund my miles, they finally shipped my order and replied to my email with one sentence 'we cannot cancel your oder as it was processed'. What a nasty and dodgy company!
If you don't want an appalling experience, stay away from Flying Blue online store and all of their suppliers!
Really poor experience trying to use…
Really poor experience trying to use expiring points to purchase goods. I ordered on 30 Dec. It took till today 23 Feb for the goods to arrive. Attempts to contact the supplier went unanswered for weeks. …… Then I found I had to pay customs duty!
Other FF programmes are much more reliable and responsive.
Don't fly with Flying Blue!
3 months to wait for a reimbursement. Same answer every time i contact them... poor customer service
