Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 580 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the service and staff, finding them unhelpful or unsatisfactory. Customers frequently encountered issues with the booking process and found the customer service to be non-existent or unresponsive, often leading to frustration. Reviewers also felt that the pricing was excessive, especially for basic amenities like water or snacks, and that the company focused on charging extra fees rather than ensuring customer satisfaction. However, some customers also noted that the flights were on time, and the planes were modern and clean. A few people found the staff to be friendly and attentive, and some considered the flights to be a good option for those on a tight budget, especially when compared to other airlines.

Pegasus Airlines is hands down the…

Pegasus Airlines is hands down the worst airline in the world.
I would rather walk barefoot on sharp rocks for 24 hours straight than ever sit on one of their planes again.

If you’re unlucky enough to experience a delayed flight with Pegasus, do yourself a favor: do NOT even try to get a new ticket from them. Just buy a new one immediately. Trust me. The so-called “process” is a complete nightmare and absolutely not worth it.

You’ll be sent from one counter to another — six different desks, five hours of standing in lines, zero responsibility, zero help, zero empathy. Staff either don’t care, don’t know what’s going on, or just push you away to the next counter like it’s some kind of cruel joke.

By the end of it, you’ll be exhausted, angry, and still without a solution — except now you’ve also wasted half a day of your life you’ll never get back.

This airline is a masterclass in how not to treat customers. No organization, no accountability, no respect for passengers’ time or money.

Avoid Pegasus at all costs. There are bad airlines, and then there is Pegasus — in a category of failure entirely its own.

⭐ 1/10 — and that one star is being generous.

Low caliber airline

Low caliber airline. Their flights are cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for. Flights are often delayed and there is no communication if something goes wrong. You are better off paying the higher price unless if you have time to kill and you don’t need to get to your destination at a certain time.

I purchased a ticket under the Comfort Flex package, which clearly states that the ticket is refundable in case of cancellation. Due to the current internal conflict in Iran, I was forced to cancel one leg of my flight, although the ticket had been booked well in advance. Despite the cancellation not being my choice, a portion of the ticket price was deducted and not refunded. This experience was disappointing and not in line with the expectations set by the Comfort Flex package

10 hours delay

10 hours delay. Very poor communication, lack of care and empathy for passengers. No food no water offered while we were kept inside aircraft for more than four an half hours. Miss leading information constantly. They lied first said delay because of weather then said technical and 3 times changed cabin crew and pilots.
Worst airline in the business. 10 hours delay but they are getting away not to pay any compensation
Would never fly with pegasus

If its the only transport in the world, I will walk!

I was booked to depart Casa blanca at 0105? Plane was delayed and we got to air about 0415. I had a 2+ hour lay off for a 0715 flight in Istanbul. I missed the flight as we arrived at 0730 or so. I joined a long queue for onward check in with no guidance for what next. I was then put on a 2115 flight. After pointing out there were 2 other earlier flights to stansted where i was told i had to take that 2115 one. I was directed to a desk for help but that desk was beyond passport control where i was rudely told there would be no transit passengers beyong those gates. No further help was available. I got to stansted after 2200. Spent hours in queue and got to central london when the underground were no more in service. I got home at 3am and £100 poorer. No apologies, no explanation, no comfort/welfare offered. I spent more than 12 hours of my life sitting "captive" in an airport. I ended up cancelling work. So i arrived at stansted 12 hours later than i planned.

My daughter checked her pram in as baggage. Her flight was delayed then only had a short transfer time for the next flight. The pram never arrived at the final destination airport. It was found and delivered after 4 days to the final destination airport. As she was working she couldn’t pick it up for another 4 days. Unlike other airlines Pegasus do not deliver delayed luggage. When my daughter went to collect the pram there was a wheel missing. Pegasus refused to pay for a replacement. Very poor service all round.

Pegasus Airlines is a nightmare

Pegasus Airlines is a nightmare. Flights to Tehran keep getting cancelled, but they NEVER inform passengers in time. We are forced to pay extra fees or gamble showing up at the airport, risking cancelled connections and lost luggage. Less than 24 hours before the flight, tickets still appear “available”! Totally unacceptable.

Hidden baggage fees and lack of…

Hidden baggage fees and lack of transparency.
Unfair additional charge of 100 EUR. Incurred at the check-in counter for my flight from Antalya to Stockholm (ARN).

The grounds for my complaint are as follows:

1. Lack of Transparency and Failure to Inform: At no point during the booking process was it clearly stated that a golf bag cannot be included in the standard checked baggage allowance. As a frequent traveler who has used various international airlines, golf equipment has always been treated as part of the checked baggage if it falls within the weight limit. Pegasus Airlines failed to provide a conspicuous warning regarding this "Sports Equipment" policy during the purchase.

2. Predatory Pricing at Check-in: Upon arrival at the airport, I was told that my golf bag would not be accepted as checked baggage, despite my total baggage weight being within the purchased limit. I was forced to pay an exorbitant fee of 100 EUR on the spot without any prior notice or alternative options. This is a clear case of "hidden fees" and predatory service practices.

3. Inconsistency with Industry Standards: Most full-service and even many low-cost carriers allow golf bags as part of the standard baggage allowance. Imposing such a high fee without clear prior consent is misleading to consumers.

Worst airline experience I’ve ever had

Worst airline experience I’ve ever had. Pegasus Airlines staff were rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional, acting like customers were an inconvenience rather than people who paid for a service. No respect, no manners, no effort to help, just constant attitude and hostility that made the whole experience stressful and infuriating. I booked a holiday and instead got treated like garbage. If this is how they treat passengers, they don’t deserve anyone’s money. Avoid this airline unless you enjoy being disrespected.

A complete nightmare

A complete nightmare. They make us lose ouf flight in turkey, we had to wait 24 hours till next flight. Chaos and no order, we were thrown around and yelled at. We asked 4 people if the baggage will be sent to the next location after 24 hours wait, all said yes. The bag never came. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

Great Experience All Throughout

I don't always leave reviews this time I think it's worth it to offset the awful reviews that are posted here and to give my honest opinion about Pegasus Airlines.

First off, some details about the trip: We were traveling as 3 adults with 2 cats and one baby. We booked one way tickets from Beirut to Bilbao, with a layover in SAW airport (the "other" Istanbul airport).

When looking for flights, I was very reluctant to go with Pegasus, because of the reviews here. However, the price tipped the balance and we decided to go for it and hope for the best. The price was simply unbeatable, compared to other options, especially having to pay for the cat supplement, which was at least twice the price compared with other airlines.

The second part of our experience was the customer service chat. Only two pets are allowed in cabin, per flight. Since we were travelling with our two cats, and checking them in was not an option, we had to make sure that the flight in-cabin pet quota wasn't filled yet. All it took was chatting with their agents for them to confirm and that was it. The only negative point was that it was confusing to get to chat with a human for this special request (pro-tip: type live support and that will connect you with a human). Also, sometimes the agent would take a bit long to respond, but in general it was more than decent, and definitely superior to other low-cost airlines.

Their website and their app works quite well, it's easy to search for flights, it's easy to cancel and it's easy to change flights. I know, it's kind of weird to point out that basics work, but trust me, it's not the case for all airlines.

Another part of our experience was that we were prevented from boarding the flight by police at the passport control. This was AFTER checking-in. While unfortunate, we were able to get refunded for the taxes and the extra services not consumed, which, because the flight costs were so low, amounted to about half of what we paid. Also, the refund was requested on their site, almost a week after the original flight, and the refund arrived in 24h. I didn't expect that.

Finally, the actual flight exprience. Yes, the planes are what you would expect of a low-cost. There isn't much leg room and when the plane is packed, well it's not super comfortable. However, that has been my experience in most low-cost airlines, so really, it was to be expected.

The staff on board was really helpful, and they did go out of their way to make our flight, remember, with a baby and two cats as easy as possible, even though the flights were full and people were tensed. Only improvement: They could smile a bit more. That said, I'm starting to think it's more a Turkish culture idiosyncrasy, rather than Pegasus staff.

All in all, I was surprised by how smooth things went given the reviews here, all went smooth on all aspects of the experience.

I will definitely fly again with them

You get what you pay for

We flew this airline from Tbilisi, Georgia to Antalya, Turkey. Our tickets were inexpensive and the low value that we received in return definitely reflected that. A320 Airbus plane seats didn’t recline. No complimentary anything, even water. On-board cabin staff was apathetic at best. Thank goodness it was only a two hour flight.

Their refunding and customer service is a nigthmare...

Very poor refund handling and customer service
I had a very disappointing experience with Pegasus Airlines regarding their refund policy and customer service.
My flight was on 25.11.2025, and I had paid in advance for extra luggage. At check-in, the staff member insisted that I had not paid for it, despite my prior purchase. I was in a hurry to catch the flight and had no real choice but to pay an additional 100€ at the airport just to be allowed to board. I assumed this would be easy to resolve later.
Unfortunately, that was not the case.
I submitted a refund claim immediately after the flight and provided all requested information. Two months later, Pegasus is still sending me the same automated emails, asking the same questions I have already answered twice. There has been no progress, no clear response, and no accountability.
This feels like a deliberate delaying tactic rather than genuine customer service. When passengers pay twice for the same service due to an airline error, the refund process should be straightforward and professional — not an endless loop of repetitive emails.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Pegasus Airlines. Be very cautious with prepaid services and refunds, as resolving issues afterward appears to be extremely difficult.

ENGLISH BELOW-- EN KÖTÜ HAVAYOLU FİRMASI - HASTALANDIM, CALL CENTERLARINI ARADIM. HASTAYIM DEDİM UÇAĞA BİNEMEZSEM BİLET İADESİ VAR MI DEDİM, VAR DEDİLER, RAPOR ALIN DEDİLER. GİTTİM DOKTORDAN RAPOR ALDIM, NEYMİŞ EFENDİM İŞ GÖREMEZLİK RAPORU ALMIŞIM, ONUNLA BİLET İADESİ YAPAMIYORLARMIŞ SAĞLIK RAPORU ALMAM LAZIMMIŞ. HEM YANLIŞ BİLGİ VERİYORLAR HEM DE YETMEZMİŞ GİBİ BİLETİ BOŞA HARCATIYORLAR. 1 GRAM HAKKIM VARSA HELAL ETMİYORUM.

----
I got sick and called their call center. I told them I was ill and asked if I could get a refund if I couldn’t fly. They said yes, just get a medical report. So I went to the doctor and got a report. But then they told me that it was a “work incapacity” report and that they couldn’t refund my ticket with that. They said I needed a proper health certificate.

Even the report officially accepted by the government — the one that proves I cannot work — they refuse to accept. They’re just making things unnecessarily difficult.

If you’re going to make things difficult, just say it on the phone at the call center. Tell me “we won’t accept this report” so I can at least change my ticket or pay extra before wasting my money.

They not only give wrong information, but also waste your ticket. If they have taken even 1 gram of my rights, I will never forgive them.

Pegasus nonsensical visa requirement

I was going to fly with Pegasus to Kuwait through Istanbul and had a connecting flight from there with Oman Air, all tickets bought and entire trip arranged. But Pegasus has its own surprise rule that you must have a valid visa for the country they deliver you to, which is not a requirement by any other airline and not countries like Kuwait either. I had the connecting flight, which is enough for anyone else but not to Pegasus. So they refused to fly me to Kuwait and offered no recompense since I couldn't get a visa within few minutes while checking in for the flight. I asked if they could fly me to Istanbul so I could more easily proceed to my destination (mind you that my Pegasus ticket went through Istanbul to Kuwait so I had the ticket). But no they cannot do that either because they cannot print the physical piece of paper without including the flight to Kuwait. It is 2026 and they do not have the basic ability to print two separate check in slips. So I had to waste several hundred euros getting other airlines to deliver me.

one of the worst airlines worldwide

one of the worst airlines worldwide. Delayed flights, very tight connections and transfers in the awfull airport SAW in Istanbul, baggage missed since more than one week meanwhile. Hotline in Turkey with an expensive call line if your calling from outside Turkey, Whatup channel only in Turkish. So if you love all of this go for Pegasus. For me this my last time and never again.

Terrible experience

I arrived at Manchester airport from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport on the 6th of January and my suitcase did not arrive (it is 12th of January). I logged a report at the desk and was given a form to complete and was told I should hear from them within 3 days. Its now 7 days later and no one has contacted me and the luggage is still stuck somewhere with DHL. I was not given any further information. The call center numbers of Pegasus and DHL are not working and I have no other way of contact anyone at the airport.
Can't believe that an airline and the service provider that they work with (DHL) would operate in such an irresponsible manner.
I WOULD APPRECIATE IF SOMEONE FROM PEGASUS WOULD CONTACT ME AS I AM STILL WITHOUT MY LUGGAGE
