I would not recommend this site for several reasons

I would not recommend this site for anything other than it's location. The welcome (if you can call it that) was odd at best (despite having pre-booked). The owner doesn't have any interpersonal skills and clearly does not like dealing with people.

The facilities were acceptable on arrival but within 24 hours, toilet roll had run out, one of the toilets was missing a toilet seat and they became generally unclean. At one point I had checked 4 of the toilets for my daughter to use, all of which were filthy.

The electrics are also a bit of an issue. There aren't enough sockets for the units he allows in a field so there are cables running all over the place having to hook up to other sockets. We had our van plugged in, went out for the day on foot and came back to find our electric cable had been removed, extended and plugged in at the next field! It's an accident waiting to happen with cables running across the grass, if it's dark you won't see them and if you are with children, take extra care.

My biggest advice would be to get an email confirmation of the price you will be paying because we were over charged. I booked in January to stay in May but his prices had increased apparently. I don't disagree with a price increase in principle, it's necessary sometimes, but I questioned this because I had an email stating the price i should have been paying which was given to me when I booked. At no point between January and May did he contact me to notify me of the price increase. The website also still states the price I was originally given but when challenged about the website, in his words "Oh yeah but that's out of date". In a nutshell, he just has free licence to make up a price. I did get a refund but he was constantly making up excuses about the price difference. It's an expensive site for not a lot in return.

It's such a shame because the location is fantastic, but I guess the owner knows that which means he cares less as it is likely he will always get bookings.

Trump effect overcharging

Trump effect! Been to this campsite before we were going to book it for the weekend, the Trump effect, tried to change £40 pounds a night ,when the web site clearly stated £35 a night , shower and toilet no heating and freezing, need an ice pick and crampons to get there and back , on the approach, your clutch will love the steep bank.So we were booking for two motorhomes both 7m, through greed has lost £140 in bookings,
