Very disappointed in Ford Australia

Very disappointed in Ford Australia. We have owned our Ford Everest since brand new and have followed the logbook servicing schedule to the letter. The transmission service schedule is 10yrs/240000klms as per Ford Australia recommendation. Our transmission failed at 140,000klms and Ford would not assist AT ALL. According to the ACCC there is a reasonable expectation that the transmission will last at least ten year/240000klms and as such is under a consumer guarantee. WE paid for the new transmission but are seeking legal advice to get our money refunded. There are also a number of other customers in the same position that are actively seeking legal advice from the same solicitor we are. IF the service schedule for the transmission is flawed I suggest UPDATING IT. (We do not tow excessively or off road)

Trust Ford Knockmore Road Service Department Lisburn

I will never buy another car from Ford. I have been a good customer of theirs for a few years! Unfortunately I am having nothing but trouble, with my Ford Kuga which is 4 years old.
I left my car with them 3 weeks ago, with a couple of worrying problems. Later on that afternoon, they got back to me , and told me the parts are on back order, with no idea of possible delivery! I am now car less, iWork for the NHS,and really need my car, but it’s still sitting at Knockmore road Service Department, with no further communication at all! I asked for a courtesy car, and they offered me one at £12 per day, on top of a very large bill. I don’t even know if I’ll get it back this side of Christmas. I’ve also had to cancel a caravan holiday, because I have no car to tow it with.
I am also in a service plan with Ford, but I’m not getting any help even with having that

Do not buy from Ford Australia

Do not buy from Ford Australia
I bought a brand-new ranger, I loved this Ute, always looked after it very minimal Ks it was my pride and joy. Ford dealerships have damaged it by poor workmanship, they use apprentices and not qualified mechanics to service and repair their vehicles. Ford refuse to take accountability or fix the issues, I’m left with a very expensive lemon and am out thousands of dollars now. I would never buy a ford again after this experience. I’ve been to multiple dealerships and found the same issue. After every visit my car is worse than before. case # 200473237

New Wildtrak 24.5

New Wildtrak 24.5. Don’t buy any new car from Ford. The car has a mind of it’s own and is a death trap. Definitely a crash in the waiting. The driver aides are on all the time. Yes you can turn them off however they switch themselves back on. Almost got whiplash reversing when all of a sudden the brakes automatically stopped the car. No danger insight but a plant which I could see. Almost drove itself into a parked car twice with the cross traffic lane indicator aide crap. Before taking the vehicle it was explained to me all driving aides can be tuned off if desired. No they can’t!
The steering lock was so stiff I had to brake not to cause an accident. Again the car decided to drive itself.

I called Ford Geebung they basically told me the settings will go back to factory settings every time I start the car. Yes thats true! However even if I turn all these settings off before I drive they turn themselves back on.
Ford customer service has been notified and am awaiting a call from Maria in customer service. Which I have had to chase up with no return call.
If you have a Ford and this is happening to you and if you are unfortunately in a crash, sue the hell out of Ford. Your insurance company will probably not cover you given the way Ford has now made it a permanent setting.

Stay away, spend your money elsewhere.

And Ford let us drive the cars we buy we don’t need you or the government to adjust our driving style. Bloody disgraceful!

Really had a great experience with the ford dealer. The rep kept me updated with the repairs and helped me with options when the aftermarket warranty company wanted to replace the engine and transmission with a used 90k mile engine. Great Stuff.

This is a very long story we started…

This is a very long story we started back on 12/1/24 when the car was towed into Ford dealership at Newstead for a transmission fix (on the warranty and a well known problem with this type of Fiesta) the car was in repair for approximately 3 weeks after I chased up the car due to no courtesy car being offered we finally got the car back
After the second time of driving the car was doing exactly the same issue another tow needed this time costing $250
The car went back to the repair garage at ford Newstead this time I asked for a courtesy car and was granted one
I made it my business to call every two weeks to chase up the progress of the car
On the 19/6 out of the blue I received a text saying “your car is ready to collect please collect asap -I went in to collect the car only to be told “that text shouldn’t of been sent out we haven’t even looked at the car yet?
On 6/6/24 some five months later with no call backs and being told over and over again “the service manager will call you back” I didn’t get a call back I contacted Ford head office complaints department a few days later someone emailed me to say “she couldn’t call me as she had no voice” but she would “look into It” after six emails telling me “we’re trying to sort this out for you” last one received 24/6 I was still no further forward? On 16/7 I received a call to say it’s not the transmission it’s a spark plug problem and it would cost between $2500 and $3500 to fix
When I explained the history he said (Don the 2ic) said to be honest we’re cleaning up a mess here we're all brand new and quite frankly we didn’t even know your car was here? We’re just working through the issues
I was left exasperated after almost 7 months to be told it would cost a serious amount of money regarding a problem that I hadn’t even heard about the whole time? he then told me “the cars probably not even worth it” you’d get more for scrap
Really? To ford I’m obviously nothing at all I’m not even worth a follow up call in over 6 months ..Will I ever buy Ford again No Way! Will I tell everyone about my disgusting service? Yes I will
People have told me to write to the motor vehicle ombudsman for some help which I am going to do
I’m hoping that my review will help to educate others who may be considering to use or buy from this dealership “Ford dealership at Newstead” my advice to you is Please Don’t!
The review I wrote is not even worth a 1 star rating it’s simply disappointing and unacceptable service I’m a very sad and unhappy customer

Autonation Ford bad repair jobs

Autonation Ford
I took my newly purchased Ford Mustang in because the engine light came on. Simple Repairs were made, but the light came back on the next day. A faulty repair caused this second visit. Days later I had a heavy oil leak. This is due again, to their bad repair job. They are refusing to take responsibility even though we all know the truth. I do not recommend Autonation Ford in Fort Worth. They can not be trusted to do a correct repair and do not stand behind their work.

Avoid at all costs

Ford and all their dealers are quite possibly the worst dealership and organisation I've ever had to deal with. I would actually consider them to be borderline criminally negligent in their actions. I only rate them as one star because a lower option is not available. I have so many experiences of poor service, failings in their duties, actual voice recordings and emails of of their dealers and Ford Australia staff lying it's not funny, both regarding sales, servicing and warranty issues. After 4 major instances that have seen legal action required and some still ongoing I will never buy a Ford again despite having owned several at the same time. Ford purely survive on new nieve customers and I doubt there's many returning.

Don't buy a Ford.

Don't buy a Ford! 🍋
I purchased a brand new Ford Focus in 2014. I returned the car the very next day as it would shudder and lose power, and their response was that I am a woman and just don't know how to drive. They finally installed a new gearbox in 2016, yet I was still having issues with it years after. The gear box died on me weeks ago, so I had my car towed to Nuford Wangara to be told it's going to cost me between 2k-6k because the Warranty expired. Wish I could see his face Monday morning when he sees my email showing proof, from Ford, that I have an extended warranty on that issue. Can't wait to hear the outcome of the Ford Class Action. If you bought a Ford 🍋 join the class action!

Ford Ranger XLT avoid at all costs

Bought a ford ranger xlt in March 2018 always serviced on time recommendations for extra work was done as this is our retirement vehicle.
At 87,000 kms the torque converter has gone and even though I have had independent advice that this should not have happened Ford Australia refuse to acknowledge it's a fault and replace it.
I will never buy a Ford again disgusted with their lack of service

Tropical Ford Rockhampton sucks!

Tropical Ford in Rockhampton has the rudest employees! B*tch at the service desk acknowledged that there was a recall on the door latch that broke on my car but refused to allow all four to be replaced. She would only allow the broken one to be replaced despite a recall requiring all four to be replaced. She was rude, arrogant, and ended up hanging up on me. And the manager wouldn't answer the phone or return my phone calls. Absolutely disgusting place, and employees!!!

False promises to fix manufacturing problems

My camera on my 2016 stopped working and there were media coverage about a manufacturing fault and to take your mustang to your nearest dealer to fix issue free of charge, so I did and they wanted to charge me $1800 to repair their faulty issue, what a complete joke, I will never buy another Ford car ever again.

5 visits to local Ford Maroochydore SC Queensland... engine warning light on.
50k service, brake hoseline recall work done , then fuel injection system and catalytic system work...
Towed back to dealer after turbocharger actuator repair today and oil smoke from under bonnet within 5 mins ...

Awaiting their inspection under warranty...

Extremely concerned with mechanical repairs and experienced engine fumes into vehicle cabin.
Safety issue.

Is this typical for Ford Endura mechanical and dealer repairs?

Ford Everest

Bought a new Ford Everest. In and out of garage for faults constantly alarming on vehicle. Ford Australia did not care at all. No compensation offered. Not what you would expect from a Brand new car. Do not buy the everest and do not deal with Ford Australia for customer service. Only the dealership was good with us.

Avoid Ford Service Maroochydore

Car was handed back 2 days late following a basic 45k service. More importantly, they failed to address or meaningfully check two identified problems. The feedback on one item was that as the owner I should clean the underside of the car and lubricate the suspension. Second was an outright failure to forensically assess a detailed problem statement and also properly test drive to observe said problem (pronounced internal rattle within the sub-dash area when car is driven at speed). They proceeded to fob the problem off as some minor external noise. I was told I could wait (yet more time!) to speak to a technician because they weren't there. Communication was terrible.

Do Not Deal With Bayford Ford in Coburg

My wife's Ford Focus Titanium 2014 had a problem with the engine light coming on so I drove it to my mechanic and strangely on the way there, the engine light turned off. He connected the car to a computer scanner and found a code error saying "Clutch A slow to disengage" My mechanic - auto electrician informed me in his opinion I had a fault with the TCM (Transmission Control Module) and to take it to a Ford Dealer because the TCM is still under warranty and was not charge anything for his report.
Against my better judgment, I took the car to Bayford Ford in Coburg. I informed the lady in charge that I had the car scanned and it may have a TCM fault to which she replied by saying she was not interested on an independent scanner diagnosis and they will perform there own scan diagnosis and it could cost up to $370.00 to which I was reluctant to agree, but my wife insisted as it was holiday time and other dealers said I would probably have to wait weeks before they even look at it.
We were contacted a day later and on my arrival to collect the car she informed me that I had an internal fault with the clutch and the cost of repair would be $4,500.00. I asked if I could see the report printout of the computer scan so I could consider my options, as to whether I was to go ahead. She informed me it was Bayford Ford's property and could not divulge the information to me. I then refused to pay the $370 and a dispute arose between us.
My wife told me even if I think nothing was done to the car we should still pay the $370 as we did not need the hassle. She then proceeded to go inside to finalise the payment.
Later that day the owner of Bayford Ford phoned me and accused me of abusing his staff and banned me from entering any of the Bayford centres.
One week later, my wife was stranded in Hawthorn as the car would not start. The error on screen read: PARKING AID MALFUNCTION: SERVICE REQUIRED. I contacted Courtney & Patterson Ford Dealer in Heidelberg and advised them what was happening. They advised me to have the car towed to their service centre and as they were very busy would let me know in a week's time. I did inform them of all my previous dealings and problems with Bayford in the past. One week later Courtney and Patterson finally got to diagnose the car. They informed me it was a TCM fault and ordered a new TCM part from Ford Australia. Again, was told it would take at least a week as the part was on backorder. They also informed me it would be repaired under warranty.
Finally the car was repaired by Courtney and Patterson a week ago and for the first time in may years the car is performing 100% as I knew it would be as I was sure that it was a TCM problem. Bayford Bundoora serviced this car for the previous 8 years and I have made numerous complaints that the transmission was not performing as it should after they replaced the clutch assembly in 2017 (bearing in mind this car has done just over 40,000k in this time).
I have filed a full report to Consumer Affairs Victoria, reference no: C.2023-02-000775 and they have informed me that Bayford Ford in Coburg has not followed Section 60 in consumer laws which refers to Due Care and Skill.
Also Section 18 which refers to misleading & deceitful conduct.
I would highly discourage anyone from dealing with Bayford Ford and highly recommend Courtney and Patterson in Heidelberg. They are highly professional and an honest company and finally after many years of anguish they solved all our car problems that have been lingering for years! Best of all, it didn't cost us a cent!
