My first Sprint with FW!!✨

My first Sprint at Cadwell Park was a big personal success!!🤩 and also my first time out in the absolutely amazing piece of machinery😍 the Jaguar Project 8!💛💙
We weren’t able to go out for the last 2 rounds as the heat was a bit too much for the car in the end, but even so, I still came 12th out of 74 and I was the fastest woman!!🤩
This was a massive highlight for me so far!⭐️
Being able to finally get out and really push myself in a car that has so much to teach has really boosted my confidence and I can’t wait for the next steps in my career on my journey to representing England in the FW Nations Cup!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿💛💙
Of course a massive thank you to Ray Grimes and Graeme Glew for being the most supportive coaches I could ask for!!
They have given all the extra pushes I’ve needed to squeeze out all of my potential and I know exactly where I need to improve because of it!
I’ve come away a very happy bunny indeed!!🥰✨

From a novice to a racing driver!

I joined Formula Woman as a complete novice this time last year, and I cannot believe how my life has changed! I went on my first track day with them at the end of July last year, and I felt so welcomed by the whole team; I was then asked to join their academy. Over the past year I have been on track days at various circuits around the country, took my ARDS test and gained my race license, went ice driving in Sweden (which is one of the most incredible experiences that I have ever had!!) and just kept developing my skills further.
Over the past year I have gone from being a complete novice, not knowing anything about being a racing driver, to having had competed in my first Sprint Race in their Jaguar Project 8; because of my performance in the sprint, I was selected to represent England in the Nations Cup! This has to be the biggest achievement of my life! Only recently I completed the first Radical boot tour, driving the Radical for the very first time.
If it wasn’t for Graeme and the whole Formula Woman team, I never would’ve been given this opportunity to chase my dreams, and I owe my whole racing career to them!

Formula Woman is an amazing company

Formula Woman is an amazing company. I spent a few days with them completing the Boot Tour which included the introduction to motorsport. The coaching was great considering I am a novice, I am now addicted to racing!

They are super helpful and offer training, events at an affordable price. Better yet their membership is free!

Boot Tour

Just completed a 3-day Boot Tour with them, It was a wonderful experience and they were super hospitable.

As someone who is looking to start a career in racing, it gave me the push and green light to go ahead and start working towards my dreams.

The coaching on track and off track was great! I gained quite a lot of knowledge for it being just 3 days and me not having any prior experience.

It is a lot of money, and getting into motorsports seems to cost a ton, but I have done my research for the past year on different companies and racing introduction courses call over the world, and there isn't much out there that doesn't cost quite a bit.

I am now super excited to start my racing career, and I will definitely be working more with them in the future to progress my training and be able to compete in a race soon enough.

Formula Woman was such an amazing…

Formula Woman was such an amazing opportunity for me to find out my racing potential and made lots of friends along the way. I keep in touch with many ladies from all over the country and overseas; I follow their adventures and progress from the side line.

Unfortunately, I was never good enough to race and I was told so from the beginning, although my confidence and joy for driving have improved significantly!

Formula woman team is hard working and passionate about making this brand grow even though the economic challenges are tough. I really admire their commitment and passion for this ever growing brand and community for women in motorsport. If you have the money and have what it takes to be a racing female driver I totally recommend Formula woman! Thank you formula woman!

Formula Woman Facts

Formula Woman Facts

The original prize was supposed to be a full season drive in a McLaren in the GT Cup. In reality they only did 3 mid-season rounds before Formula Woman pulled out of the competition.

The Formula Woman competition in 2022 was advertised as being a fully televised competition. As of today there has been no television coverage despite the finals being filmed.

The competition was advertised as being a fair chance of a fully sponsored drive for complete novices. Yet professional racing drivers were included in the finals.

The girls were encouraged to spend thousands of pounds doing ice driving training after Mr Glew “accidentally” revealed to virtually everyone that last final would be ice driving.

Primary finals were a total farce. Held at a karting track with driver weight not taken into account at all. The top drivers there, bar one race winner, were mostly not selected for last 16 anyway. Golden tickets were handed out to the winners of a group race following day where teams were completely uneven and unfair.
Many of the most talented drivers simply didn't get through and there was very obvious favouritism.

Sim performances were completely overlooked.

When the results were given out they'd given everyone a score that didn't even include the karting. They then tried to say that this score was how the last 16 had been selected as though everyone had forgotten that last 16 had actually been picked on the day by Formula Woman judges.

The girls were told to get themselves in the media as much as possible but this was obviously just a clever Formula Woman ploy for brand exposure because this was not taken into account at all in how they were assessed.

The girls were told to strictly keep their promo videos to 2 mins in length which they all did, bar one pretty girl with a huge social media following, who was allowed a video over 5 mins. In a “coincidence” she later landed one of the winning seats.

The second finals were held at a proper racing track but they were farcically only given 1 single lap to set a time. It was wet so different conditions for everyone and a completely unfair way to access the drivers.

Formula Woman seems to have since rebranded as a “racing community. For women.

All i would say is do your own research. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is and this competition was never what it said it was, same as the last one in 2004 by all accounts. That had a horrible reputation at the time.

The vast majority of experiences Formula Woman offer can be purchased far cheaper direct from the tracks or venders.

Formula Woman tricked and exploited women. Read the bad reviews here and notice they all make the same points.

Some of the good reviews are written by staff and one is written by one of the winners.

If Guglielmo Papaleo (Famous boxer we understand) would like to contact Formula Woman direct via our website formulawoman.com we would be happy to discuss all his comments and accusations directly.

All our records from the competition assessments and finals are documented, even down to the finals in Sweden which we funded and which were judged by three independent judges. None of the six winners over the last two competitions were professional drivers and the final shoot out was against the clock and two winners were chosen who set the fastest times.

Regarding the TV production, everything is documented over the past two years, where every driver completes 5 laps with in car cameras, this is still work in progress, so watch this space…

As for your suggestion that we have posted our own staff reviews this is not true, although we do have a lot of very satisfied competitor reviews including our winners.

As in any sport training is the key to success, we encourage all competitors to gain as much seat time prior to the competition, whether that be sim or track, either with FW or other reputable motorsport organisations.

As in these type of competitions there will be drivers who feel they are better than they really are or perhaps didn’t train as much as they should have. Motor sport is expensive and addictive and we make this very clear to everyone taking part.

Formula Woman now have registered drivers from 68 countries across the world, 50 of whom are registered for a global event in 2024…exciting times ahead….

Formula Woman

I entered the competition in 2022 and became a driver for Formula Woman. I now work for the company and love the concept and how it brings females together in motorsport. The academies Formula Woman offer are a great way to get girls out racing and I can’t wait to coach some more future talent!

Avoid at all costs !!

Avoid at all costs !!

Money making scheme!
The jaguars arent safe to drive
The competition is/was for novice women who havent competed in the last 10 years or ever, however the winners were all professional racing drivers and Karters that were brought in last minute with the golden ticket! What a joke
We were just numbers to boost the competition, for media purposes individually emailing each contestant giving them false hope, (yes we have seen the evidence of these)

You scammed people out of tens of thousands of pounds, by encouraging them to do more days to be in with a greater chance of winning, but your winners were already decided.. proof: just look at Sara Misir, a professional racing driver from Jamaica, how was that fair?
You then threatened the people with defamation when they took you to court!

Formula Woman is worth it!

Formula Woman is an exceptional community to be a part of likeminded women who have a passion for motorsport. The support received by coaches, staff and Graeme Glew has been brilliant this year.
Formula Woman offer many track days in various cars (BMW, Ginetta, Jaguar P8 etc) so you can get a feel of how to control different settings in different track environments.
Formula Woman offer a free track day to new members (free to apply) which is definitely an offer to grab! They offer a Formula Woman academy meaning that monthly payments are be spread across the year, you will find motorsport is extremely expensive so this is a great opportunity, even better if you find sponsors which Graeme Glew has assisted me throughout this year.
Formula Woman has definitely helped me improve my ability, they have given me many opportunities which I am grateful for like achieving my race license but also I have made new friends who also love motorsport!
Thank you to all at Formula Woman & Graeme for everything that you do!

Life is like a race against time

Life is like a race against time, but it's never too late to start. I've been waiting for this moment since 1977, and I never gave up.

Without Formula Woman Academy, my dream of becoming a licensed racing driver would have remained just a dream. But thanks to the team at Formula Woman, I finally achieved my goal.

I'm amazed by the amazing driving experience and journey I've had with Formula Woman. I believe that anyone can achieve their goals with a positive attitude, hard work, the right skills and habits, and the support of a great mentor.

My racing guru, Graeme Glew, has put so much time, effort, and sacrifice into helping women unlock their hidden driving skills and talent, brush up their competency on the track, and boost their self-confidence. I'm so grateful for his guidance and support.

Trust is the process. Belief is the vision. Achieve is the goal.

This is my mantra in life. Never give up until you make it!

Proud licensed racing driver.

Thanks to my guru, Graeme, and to the entire Formula Woman Academy team.

Formula Woman is a great initiative…

Formula Woman is a great initiative which has introduced lots more women into the sport that wouldn’t have discovered it otherwise. They offer great rates for track days in comparison to other companies and will support you on your journey. The academy is also a great initiative as it allows payment to be spread across the year. Motorsport can be very expensive otherwise. I have met lots of lovely friends through formula woman all with the shared interest of motorsport.

Far exceeded expectations

I joined Formula Woman over a year ago with the intention of getting a bit of coaching before taking my own car on track. I loved the track days! The instructors are excellent - knowledgable, friendly, supportive and all experienced racing drivers themselves. Over the past 12 months I’ve met so many great people and had some fabulous experiences. No way would I have booked an ice driving trip with complete strangers but with Formula Woman I felt confident I would be with like minded people.
I entered the competition and reached the finals. Despite not being one of the overall winners I have been supported to continue my training, explore other opportunities and I now have a couple of exciting projects in the pipeline. Joining Formula Woman has by far exceeded my expectations!!
Yes there is a cost to it all but it’s made clear from day 1 that motorsport is expensive and support is provided to assist with obtaining sponsorship.
If you’re looking for a short cut to the top you will be disappointed. If you’re looking for a starting place to learn, be part of a community and build connections in a supportive environment then this is for you.

Formula woman gave me the opportunity…

Formula woman gave me the opportunity to really get a taste of motorsport as there is not many opportunities in my home country.
It re-ignited my spark and pushed me to work hard for my dreams.
I found it super beneficial as someone with no racing background to have experienced female racing drivers show me the ropes.

All is said in the other reviews

All is said in the other reviews. I went up to the finals, I believed them until the end and felt completely scammed. It's going to be a lot of money and a waste of your time. The driving tests are a joke and they do everything they can to make you spend a lot of money on the "boot tour" and "driving experience" which are overpriced and very average compared to other events I have been to. The only positive thing is that all the participants are passionate motorsport ladies but we were all too trusty and naïve to think this is about helping women in motorsport. If you care about starting in racing, my advice is to spend your money elsewhere: track days with coaching, driving schools, karting, etc. Stay away from this competition. And to the FW organization CEO and representatives: please stop scamming us and be clear this is all about business for you, not about helping women in motorsport. You're doing more harm than anything to our already fragile community.

It's just a bussines model.

It's just a bussines model.

Formula woman is a man-created company that claims to provide more opportunities for women in motorsport. Unfortunately, this man is only after the money pouring in worldwide, women are excited and driven crazy by all the women who participate, with the registration fee of £99 he develops a worldwide income stream, which is also why the finalists from different continents have won, because there were bigger talents in the final who did not go through for corrupt reasons.

Finally approaching the final you see that via social media women are driving each other crazy that they spend a lot of money on trackdays organized by Formula women, ARDS days, icedrive expierence, karting and most expensive simulator days.

That is because there is the next business model, selling as many motorsport days as possible in the run-up to the final and everyone does it, because otherwise you think you have no chance for the final. There are countless women who spend on average around 8-10k on formula women, for a hopeless dream, because the finals were anything but "fair and square".

Girls beware, it's just a business model and this man and organization stands for anything but women in motorsport. THIS HAD TO STOP!

STAY WELL CLEAR!

STAY WELL CLEAR!!
The worst decision of my life signing up to this competition. Finding out recently what a scam this is, no wonder formula woman went quiet for 17 years, the money probably ran out!
This is not a fair competition, £99 is just the entry fee to a false journey that will have an upsetting end unless you are a professional racing driver!

The 2021-2022 competition promised novice women a fully sponsored seat in the gt cup, which isnt true, professional racing drivers who have been racing for the past few years got through (actually put into the competiton from the start)

Over charged for trackdays, sim training, have to pay your own travel expenses and hotels, its a business, and its exploiting women. Mr Graeme Glew is just a motorsport agent, thats all, go in a car with him and you’ll not get any experience at all, he spins out himself!

Its disgusting and shocking how he thinks he can manipulate and encourage women out of tens of thousands of pounds! Theres over 100+ women who are completley disgusted by the false hope and complete waste of time and money! Hence why two of the winners are no longer in the finals, Avoid this competition, if you just read up on the blogs from the past 17 years, not only formula woman, but series elite has a bad reputation amongst the over 50 year olds) (which is also one of his many companies)

Unfortunately Motorsport is one of the most expensive sports in the world but the £99 one-off fee buys a membership pack, access to The Formula Woman training portal, a regular weekly news bulletin and entry to the annual find a race driver competition. Regarding your comments to our CEO, we suggest you contact Formula Woman directly where Graeme Glew would be happy to discuss your dissatisfaction with your training.

Exploitation of “women in motorsport”

Exploitation of “women in motorsport”

First of all, the “competition” is a business of course, but do not sign up under the impression that you are an equal competitor to all of the rest and that this isn’t wholly about the money. It is a competition of “face or wallet that fits the bill”.

The first assessment was THREE laps around the shortest circuit known to man in a gutless electric Corsa - you do not need to be a rocket scientist to realise that 3 laps are not adequate to determine who has natural skill enough to drive a Mclaren GT car. Thankfully after this is when I chose to step away from Formula Woman and now I am a racing driver who has learnt how to fund my career by myself and probably won’t fall after my 5 minutes of fame that is Formula Woman.

One of the only requirements to enter the competition was that you had little or no experience in a race car. 4 of the 6 winners all held race licenses and were professional drivers to begin with and one of the ladies is clearly there for her beautiful face and 40,000 followers and not a lot else as there were far superior drivers but unfortunately did not fit the image that FW required.
The business is full of cliques and if you’re not in them, you were never in the competition to start with.

Thankfully I did not fall for the insanely overpriced extra curricular events and as mentioned below my ARDS cost me around £300 - not the crazy £1200 that the hopeful ladies paid. I’m aware that it is a business and they have to pay for your season one way or another - but to tootle around at the back of the GT cup is not how you build a career, maybe they should’ve actually spent some money on getting the girls into a realistic series that they can keep up when their funding abruptly comes to a halt - which it will.

We all believed that we were in for a fair chance, but it is wrong and misleading. Please if you would like to get into racing, research it, speak to existing drivers, teams, find yourself a racing mentor and read up as much as you can - there are amazing sources out there to help you get into motorsport but sadly FW is not one of them unless you have the money to back yourself up.

The winners all went through an extensive training program prior to their debut in the McLarens. Their first race they were all a couple of seconds off the pace proving that they were worthy winners. The license course you refer to was an exclusive circuit hire with tuition in the morning and expert ARDS license instructors in the afternoon. Only one lady didn’t pass due to the fact she was unable to drive a manual vehicle. The global economic climate is tough right now but Formula Woman continues to give all females a chance to prove themselves and all for £99.

Too good to be true

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I kept optimistic & the belief that "you had to be in it to win it". I would now use the words SCAM & CON to describe Formula Woman. Don't be fooled by the £99 sign up fee & the promise of a "Fully Sponsored" seat racing in the GT Cup in a McLaren GT4. IF you are picked to be one of the lucky winners, be prepared to have to sign a driver management contract with a £2k a month fee, hand over a percentage of all sponsorship deals & cover the £10k insurance excess for any crash damage.

Formula Woman is a business, not a competition. If you didn't sign up and pay for their overpriced track days (£850-£1100) or get ripped off doing their £1200 ARDS license day that usually costs £380, you had little chance of being picked, the founder Graeme sent multiple emails to competitors stating "in my opinion you have a very good chance at making top 15, you should sign up to our....*insert overpriced activity*". The finalists and winners were supposed to be the woman who had the most potential to become GT car racing drivers from the 800 applicants. However, the tests set out for competitors were far from adequate.

Assessment day: 3 laps in an electric Corsa.

Finals: Corporate hire kart race. 5 laps on a PlayStation spec simulator. Mechanical exam.

Semi-Finals: ONE LAP in a Jaguar project 8 - fastest 10 made the final with some drivers doing their 1 lap in the wet, others in dry conditions. Those who were not fast enough (but organisers wanted in the final) got a 'golden ticket' to the final

Final: Ice driving in Sweden - very cool - but not relevant to finding the best GT driver - top 6 fastest times around an ice track (TIMED BY A MAN WITH A STOPWATCH) won.

Unfortunately many novice drivers wanting to enter the world of Motorsport don’t realize the need for sponsors to make their dream happen. What Formula Woman does is offer the chance to have a taste of the sport and tell you if you have natural ability or not. Our instructors are experienced enough to work this out within 3 laps in any make of car. As you can imagine, the cost of last years Formula Woman program ran in to hundreds of thousands of pounds and Trade Centre were the title sponsor along with a few other brands to contribute towards the running of the two year competition.
