Do not buy fossil product!

Got a smart watch for my birthday, would never connect to phone, after 7 months going back and forth about this they took my watch back and offered a refund 2 months ago but Iam yet to receive my refund. The company are being difficult with processing my refund. Will never buy a product from fossil again, terrible customer service would give 0 star if I could.

Cancelled watch

Ordered a watch with some spare straps for it, they sent the straps and then emailed me to let me know the watch wasn't coming 2 days later and told me it's too late to cancel the straps.

Stuck (and charged) with a pair of straps for a watch i don't have now.

WATCH DID NOT WORK

Ordered a Fossil watch for my hubbys 60th birthday - thankfully from Amazon not Fossil direct. It arrived end of July and looked amazing - shame it didn't work properly it kept stopping. I got straight on to Amazon who advised me to contact Fossil as watch was under warranty. I finally got through to them and all they would offer was a repair under warranty! REALLY??after just 8 weeks I expected a replacement not a repair.
I got on to Amazon again who were brilliant they sent me a return label and an email confirming that a refund would be made within 5 days. My advice would be don't buy from Fossil they sell poor quality items and do as little as possible to keep customers happy they will not refund or replace - stick to known brands that work properly!!

Absolute joke

Absolute joke. I ordered an item at the beginning of September. It’s dispatched over three weeks later. I arranged for re delivery to my local post office. When I tried to collect it, a very tiny chain bracelet which cost £16 it was packed in a box the size of a shoe box. If that’s not ridiculous I was then told I needed photo identification. I was told my debit card was not enough even though the post Office local Depot ask for and accept a debit card. It gets worse, I was identified by the workers in the shop part of the post office as I have been using the shop for over 20 years. Jobs worth behind post office counter said this was not good enough.
Hang on it now gets more farcical. Fossil invoice states free delivery but jobs worth says there’s an excess postage charge on the parcel. I didn’t collect the £16 item.
Got home and started to email fossil. Well how dense are the people who work in customer service. It took 9 yes 9 emails before they understood I hadn’t collected the parcel. They kept on stating that I needed to supply my bank statement as proof of the excess postage fee.
Oh yes you dimwits I’m really going to send you my bank statement.
You really can’t make this rubbish up.

Terrible delivery and processes

Was given 4-6 days delivery on a gift I purchased. Over a week later I got in touch as I had not heard anything back. Was told it would now be 14+ days, no warning nothing. Meant I needed to go and get a new gift as this was far too late. Told that I could just return the order if I wasn't happy with the situation. Why do I have to get in touch to find out that there was a breach of contract? Terrible service, awful delivery processes, no communication whatsoever. Better to just shop elsewhere where they care about their customers.

They damaged my watch and refused to repair it

sent a very sentimental watch to them for a new battery. It was returned damaged, in inadequate rapping and without the box, I sent it to them in. I contacted them and so far I have sent 11 emails asking them to call me. They offered me 30% off another watch if I bought another from them for the 'inconvenience caused'. I rejected this offer but they then called me and told me they hadn't received the emails sent despite replying to them with the offer of 30% off followed by telling me I would be transferred to someone else but had been cut off. I then called back to be told they can't transfer and the department I called could offer no assistance. I told them this watch was a gift from my wife on our wedding day and they couldn't care less. It was only sent for a new battery and it was returned in a completely unwearable state!

Warning to all UK and EUROPEAN buyers
The Fossil STAR WARS watch collection is being shipped out to customers with no sound effect boxes and when I contacted customer service in UK I was told that in Europe they don’t have boxes with the iconic sound effect. NO WHERE on the fossil website does it state that, everywhere I had looked, YOUTUBE, INSTAGRAM , GOOGLE all showed the boxers making the iconic sound effects of Darth Vader.
I am a huge Darth Vader Fan and collector with several signed items from David Prowse who played Darth Vader, my birthday was the 30th of August and on that day my Girlfriend bought me the Special Edition Star Wars™ Darth Vader™ Three-Hand Black Silicone Watch which I was over the moon with , but she also showed me the Limited Edition Star Wars™ Darth Vader™ Automatic Stainless Steel Watch and when we researched it we were both super excited about the watch and box as it would make an amazing addition to my collection.
The watch was delivered 7th of September and to my dismay the box did not have the sound effects, upon contacting UK customer support is when I was informed that European customers don’t get the sound effect box, I spoke to 2 people and got back two emails informing me they can’t do anything about it as they are not allowed to source from elsewhere. To rub salt into the wound, I was offered a 20% discount code that upon testing on the fossil website turned out to be a 10% reduction not 20%
I am absolutely disgusted with fact that we in Europe are not good enough to get what the rest of the world get regarding the sound effect box.
I will be returning the watch for a refund and sourcing the watch and box with sound effect from elsewhere. So I would suggest to all European customers to do the same

Avoid!!!

My husband bought me a watch for my 50th. Shortly after it stopped working. Fossil customer service said it was to be repaired under warranty over a month later I keep getting emails saying I have to pay! If I don't it will be returned unrepaired. This is all happening alongside Fossil customer service saying it is under warranty. Ridiculous! Do not buy from this compythey will not honour the guarentee!!

oh my!!!

oh my!!!! wish i read all these reviews before making an order. Now order just says shipping label created days after posted timeline for delivery. This shouldn't be happening in this day and age. Their whole operations need a revamp for sure

Really really bad. Item said dispatched but wasn’t snd then sat “waiting to be collected”. Contacted customer service which was a joke. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT BIG TIME !!! SHOP ELSEWHERE.

So disappointed in my most recent…

So disappointed in my most recent experience at this store. When I first walked in, I was approached by Ian who didn't seem like you really wanted to help me. He did not smile, he was not welcoming, or warm, but I needed to get a gift so I proceeded with the interaction. When I finally chose the watch that I wanted, I asked to have it engraved. Once completed, the words were very small on the back of the watch and Ian as well as Ashley told me that I could have it redone. At first I didn't want to, because I felt bad having to get a different watch but the font was really small, and it just didn't look right; it was hard to read. I asked Ashley to help me because of Ian's demeanor previously made me feel very unwelcomed. But having Ashley help me was actually worse. Her attitude and body language made me feel like I was being such a bother even though she did offer to redo the engraving. I asked to not have the watch that was on display since it was most likely handled by a lot of customers. I asked if the back of the watch I initially was given could be replaced with the newly engraved one.
Ashley seemed to be bothered by that request, and showed her annoyance very clearly. At times she was breathing heavy and sighing as if it was such a chore to help me with something she offered to do. Meanwhile as I was standing there I saw Ian greet other customers who were Caucasian. He was very friendly, and welcomed them, and was engaging with them. During the entire time, I was polite, calm, soft spoken ....was not rude at all but these two employees made me feel so unwelcomed (and this was noticed by my friend who accompanied me in the store) I did say something to Ashley at the end of the transaction, and she promptly denied it, and said that was not the case. I'm sure the justification was because there was a minority associate in the store working, so it will be impossible for me to feel that I was being treated differently by her and Ian who are both Caucasian..... but I was indeed..... and I really did not appreciate it. I stated that I have been shopping at the store for years. I have met many different staff during that time but this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, and the level of customer service has truly declined. You may not take this seriously, or do anything with this; but I will tell you I've worked in management and customer service for many years, I know good customer service from poor customer service and what I received today was very poor.
What made it even more egregious, was as I walked away from the counter I could hear Ashley talking to Ian about me, while there were 4- 5 customers in the store, and it's a small store. This is not how you treat your customers regardless of age, race, orientation or any other protected class.

Terrible quality watches, never again

I was given a present of a Fossil watch and while it looks lovely, functionally it is a piece of crap. I had it less than one year and the band broke and the glass fell out. I tried contacting Fossil because watch was under warranty, but since no reply from Fossil my local jeweller repaired it. The latest issue is that the watch has completely stopped working. I would not recommend Fossil watches, please save your money and spend on a reputable brand that actually works

NO REFUND

Sent an item back which was signed for on 13th July, was told refund was due processed on 27th July and was told to wait two weeks. When I chased this up I was told that refund would be in my account Wednesday or Thursday this week. I have just chased this up today and have been told to wait until next week and the refund will be in my bank next week! Seems customer services are liars

Incredible uselessness

I ordered my watch. Arrived ok. Didn't work on arrival. Wrong instructions in with the watch. Emails back and forth for several days. It still didn't work. Customer service say to return it, via UPS drop off point. I live where there is no UPS drop off point (Northern Isles). I explain this in several emails but I'm sure a robot was replying as they didn't understand the words "There is no UPS drop off in Shetland".
Finally someone said to return by Royal Mail and claim the money back. What an effing fiasco. 22 emails and they won't give me my £9.45 back for returning to Germany because I won't provide photographic evidence of my bank statement. I gave them another form of evidence but not good enough apparently. I have to prove the bank account is mine. For less than £10.
I will NEVER shop at Fossil again and I wish I had read the reviews first. They can keep the £9.45 if it means I no longer have to deal with robots on the other end of the emails. Don't have high hopes of receiving the refund for the watch either.
Be warned folks.

*Update 17th September*
Still no refund. They claim they didn't receive the watch back. How convenient. I have proof of postage. But have had to open a claim via PayPal. But Fossil are trying every which way they can not to refund me.

I have just recently ordered a watch as…

I have just recently ordered a watch as a present, and upon ordering I received no notification to say that the order was confirmed or any information regarding delivery. I tried to get on the website to check the order but the site would not let me check the status so I was just left wondering if indeed the parcel would turn up. The parcel was delivered and no notification to let me know it was on its way or that delivery was going to happen at all.
