Fault that had accurred on my hot tap

The engineer Cody who came out was brilliant.
He asked me questions about the fault !
He explained everything he had done to rectify.
I also asked him a question and he rectified that problem too.
10/10 and more than pleased with the service I received.

Martin, the engineer, always calls ahead with an ETA, and on his latest visit he promptly diagnosed the fault and resolved it by replacing a part.

It’s reassuring to deal with a company that clearly cares about its customers and takes pride in delivering reliable service.

Franke instant hot water appliance

Franke responded in the way anyone would wish and our engineer, Cody, turned up on time and was polite, explained what he was doing to just the right level and replaced the water heater quickly and with no fuss.
Our only mild observation is that it took about a fortnight’s lead in time during which time we were reduced to using our old kettle! A quicker turnaround would have scored a faultless full marks from us

Quick and efficient first class…

Great customer service

From reporting the issue with the hot water tap, to Stuart turning up on site to resolve the issue, communication was excellent and the technician visit was within 2 days. The spout of the tap was replaced under warranty and it now functions perfectly.

Stuart was friendly and informative.

"Franke's name, Greg Rowe's indifference — customers beware.

I have owned a Franke Omni boiling water tap for five years and purchased replacement filters directly from Greg Rowe — the UK manufacturer behind the Franke Omni — every six months throughout that time. I was a loyal, repeat customer of both brands.

The tap failed when the ferrule on the boiling water tank hose corroded, causing a leak and rendering both the boiling and filtered water functions completely unusable. When I contacted Greg Rowe for support, I was told the hose tails are not detachable from the tap body and that my only option was to buy a completely new tap at £350 plus fitting costs.

No goodwill gesture. No acknowledgement that the ferrule design was later revised — which strongly implies this was a known failure point. No interest whatsoever in retaining a customer who had spent consistently with them for five years.

I sent a formal written complaint to Greg Rowe. No response was received.

I then contacted Franke UK directly, hoping that a brand of their standing would want to know how their customers were being treated. Their response was to refer me straight back to Greg Rowe.

The tap carries Franke's name and is sold on the strength of their reputation. When things go wrong, that responsibility cannot simply be passed back and forth between manufacturer and brand until the customer gives up.

The product failure itself was frustrating. The complete indifference shown by both Greg Rowe and Franke UK to a loyal, long-standing customer is what has brought me here. I would not buy from either again and could not recommend their after-sales support to anyone.
