I bought the pumps before my baby was born and ending up exclusively pumping. Pump worked well for 5 months and then one day one of them stopped charging. I use the cables provided and charged them in... See more

Freedom to Pump anywhere
Fraupow - Female power indeed! Not just power, but freedom. For me, this pump has been a godsend. Being a performer, constantly on tour, I'm not always guaranteed a dressing room, let alone a private lactation space! I find myself needing to pump whenever and wherever I can: on trains, in rehearsal rooms, on stage during soundcheck! I could not do this with a regular pump with wires, it just wouldn't be possible. So yeah, this pump has really given me the freedom to express myself!!
And the customer service I have received has been personal and responsive.
Faulty pump and terrible customer service
I purchased a Fraupow pump and it seemed to work okay for a week (though I’ve come to learn not nearly as well as the hospital grade Spectra in terms of extracting milk effectively and they’re very close in price).
After a week it stopped working, so I contacted customer service sending then a video with the issue, who, after a week of contact between the distributor and Fraupow, finally responded. In the meantime I’d purchased the Spectra pump given the timeliness of pumping advised in the early weeks of pregnancy by my Lactation Consultant and was chastised by Fraupow for doing so and told I shouldn’t have purchased another and waited for their reply. Additionally, I was told they don’t provide refunds given the ‘intimate nature of the product’.
This is clearly a company whose staff a) don’t understand breastfeeding and pumping b) are clearly putting profits before people if they as a policy do not provide refunds on faulty products.
I was then told it was my fault as they’d assessed the video and ‘they’ve agreed’ I’ve attached the Falange incorrectly. I’d been using the pump without problems for a week, as well as a new pump with a similar setup (the mechanics are very similar, but the quality not), so I asked them specifically to tell me how the Falange wasn’t correctly attached as it made no sense that I suddenly wasn’t using it correctly. Other mom friends tried as well and everyone agreed it was the pump as no one could get it working.
Fraupow and their distributor Hippychick couldn’t tell me how it wasn’t properly attached and then eventually replied that the pump will need to be sent in for testing.
It’s hard not to feel lied to as well as now gaslit by their aggressive customer service team. It’s a pity that their stance is immediately ‘it has to be you,’ rather than acknowledge that it may be their product when video evidence is shared. And that they show zero support for mothers at their most vulnerable. It’s almost as though they’re relying on moms being too tired and busy (which we often are!) to pursue a refund
Would recommend purchasing from one of the bigger players like Spectra or Medela who seem to better prioritise their customers in my experience and in chatting to others moms.
Brilliant pump
Brilliant pump! Liked it so much I purchase a second one so I can pump both breasts at the same time. Very easy to take apart & put together as well which is a godsend considering I’m a first time mum :)
I absolutely adore this breast pump
I absolutely adore this breast pump! It has become a daily essential for me as a new mom. Assembly is easy, it offers a variety of modes, and it’s comfortable to wear. What I particularly appreciate is the ability to use it while multitasking around the house. The only downside is that I only have one of them and would like to have two, haha.
Rubbish pump
Rubbish pump.
Weak compared to other pumps. Also unreliable. When spoke to customer service we were told that we needed to buy replacement parts, even though we had only had the pump a very short time.
Customer service horrific, pump unreliable
The pump itself is good, but I had to get a replacement pump within a month as it broke. As I bought through a different company, their customer service was brilliant and I was sent a replacement. However, I have had to buy replacement parts one month in. When these have not arrived, I contacted their customer service who said they had sent them and therefore it wasn't their problem and I could ask for a refund from the postage service. I am left with no options but to either spend another £20 on replacement parts from their website and hope they will arrive before my supply decreases, or hope the postal service will be able to help me.
Edit: As you can see from their reply below, this encapsulates my experience. The postage I paid for is the Royal Mail 48 hour postage - standard on their website - not the back of a truck as they seem to imply. I would recommend the pump (the second one that worked), and completely understand the need for spare parts, but their customer service is decidedly lacking (if quick to respond to say they won't help you!).

Great value and brilliant output
If you want to spend alot then by all means get the Elvie but if you’re wanting a more affordable option, I strongly recommend Fraupow. I love mine especially because this pump empties me out like the Medela plug in! I was able to collect 160ml on my pump session just yesterday.
Really awful pump
Really awful pump. I thought I was upgrading with this purchase. It does not pump well at all, it's a poor fit and does not draw out the milk well. I have returned to my previous brand

Borrowed this pump from a friend before buying to see how i got in with it. its the first wearable pump I have ever used but i was sold instantly. Had to get an insert but fits comfortably. I am able use it while feeding too! My friend said she doesn't have to use it anymore it seems to have increased her ability to hand pump quickly and get enough for a feed!

Caused grazes to breast & rubbish customers service
I have another portable and plug in pump so I’m confident in using pumps. This pump left me with grazes to breast despite using coconut oil.
The pump definitely doesn’t fit and adjust to all breast sizes.
I sent back which was tested by in-house tech team and guess what no problem detected… Acts surprised.
Unfortunately despite offering midwife support they didn’t seem concerned to the damaged caused to my breasts.
As for customer service I had to chase twice for an update, what a shambles.
Do yourself a favour and buy a lansinoh or medela pump.
It’s not fit for purpose.
And fraupow do not reply to me here contacted me directly.
This company puts profit over breastfeeding by not believing the customers.
They also tried to get this review moved twice so I hate to think how many reviews they succeeded at getting removed from here.

Great pump
Great pump, suction isnt as strong as my plug in one (not far off though) so i pump for longer but as i can do other things while i pump this isnt an issue. It empties my breasts a lot better than my plug in one too. Great customer service from the company also.
