Free2Move Lease never reply to queries and phone lines never work

No customer service, no working phone lines. Very poor. I leased my vehicle through another company (who were excellent). However, once you have received your vehicle (Peugeot) you have to deal with Free2Move Lease (part of Stellantis Group). It is painful trying to get hold of them. I have tried every phone number I can find - and the answer is the same - "due to unforeseen circumstances our lines are not available". This has been the case for weeks and weeks! Why has it not been resolved? I never get any response from the cases I raise in the portal. Escalation via email to Customer Support etc? Forget it - still no response. Shocking and will avoid any vehicle under the "Stellantis" umbrella in the future as it is too problematic.

Company bordering on illegal practices…

Company bordering on illegal practices in the UK.

Rented a van which they collected in pristine condition. It had just been mended through the insurance. Tried to charge us £1248 even though we wrote we disagreed with them on the paperwork. Didn't deal with this and just sent a payment default notice weeks later. We have complained twice by email as their phone lines do not work and simply no response whatsoever after the email acknowledgement. No way to reach them, no way to complain this cannot be legal in the UK surely. Will go to the Financial Ombudsman if not resolved this week. Do not use them, please read the reviews on here, they are valid!

Avoid this company

Appalling service. My van went back in July 2025. Constantly being harassed since then as to the whereabouts of the vehicle and saying there were outstanding charges. Eventually sorted (I thought) only to receive a letter 5 months later saying their assessor found faults that amounted to over £700 and they would collect in instalments! Won’t be paying a penny. Avoid this company at all costs. Incompetent, not transparent and utterly appalling all round.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service, avoid at all costs. I have been trying for 3 weeks to return my car. Their online forms don't work so you can't make the final payment online but have to do BACS, every single email has at least a 3 day wait before anyone gets back to you (if they do - mostly they just ignore you). My new car has been sat at the garage for 3 weeks waiting for me to collect - and I know when my details finally get passed to the collection company they will have a wait time so it could be several more weeks before I manage to collect it. It's not difficult to provide a call centre - putting everyone online is only OK if you have working systems. If you have an antiquated online system that doesn't work, and then don't reply to emails then you need to man the phone lines.

Pure incompetence

Signed form for early settlement and paid the fee and then nothing phone lines constantly down due to unforeseen circumstances no replay to emails, got a phone number for customer service from the driverline number and left waiting as number 10 in Que pressed 1 to request callback after 15 minutes and still waiting for call back 8 hours later. Will be emailing tonight giving them 5 working days to sort out my problem or will handing complaint to the regulator. Run a mile if you see Free to move and any documents for a lease car

Absolutely shocking customer service

Absolutely shocking, non-existent customer service. Their phone lines have been unavailable "due to unforeseen circumstances" for 3 weeks. No answer to emails. Taken my money to end the lease, but not passed details to the collection company so I can't return the vehicle. AVOID FREE2MOVE AT ALL COSTS.

Avoid!

Had a courtesy car arranged through citreon due the airbag recall situation. Was told the car would be dropped off today and they didn't show up. You cannot get through to costumer service no matter what time of day. They could take up to a week to respond to a single question via email. The website looks like a three year old designed it. The whole service is poor quality.

DO NOT USE!

DO NOT USE!! Almost all 1 Star reviews here... that says it ALL really!! Wish our car dealership (Stellantis) had informed us who the lease would be with so we could have looked them up before going ahead. Gave back our leased car in PERFECT condition as rarely used - we both work from home and it was my to/from school car. Took video and photos and it looked better than new .. or when we had received it .. covered in dust and NO pre handover inspection either. Maufactured some microscopic marks completely invisible to the eye or our phone video/ photo. Constant letters asking for £319 .. really exhausting and basically total fraud.

Shocked at final invoice

At end of lease I have received an invoice of over £1000. It is not itemised and there appears to be no way to contact the company. I told the assessor I would be disputing charges (e.g. I have proof of service) but his behaviour was intimidating. I have consulted a lawyer and advise all other dissatisfied Free2Move customers to do the same

I have never experienced such poor customer service. Whichever phone number or email address you try, you'll never get through to a real person. I really hope somebody senior at this company checks these reviews.

Free-to-move lease are constantly harassing me for a missed service £200.00 I’ve emailed proof of service & an additional 1 months rental £304.00 cos their collection company was too busy to collect post contract end date. Swerve this company at all costs.

Everything was fine over year till car…

Everything was fine over year till car has gone back. Car was not collected when should have been 3 times. The car has been back over a month and still no information on when I get my deposit back. When I message just get told still looking into and plus they are still trying to take monthly payments through my bank. It a shame cause when I had the car was no issue at all. Seems like once car is collected they have interest in giving back your £500 deposit.

sting in the tail - avoid

Leased a car from Free 2 Move lease. We handed it back in perfect condition. They send round an "independent" inspector who trumps up damage that doesn't exist - including service book not stamped - despite receipt (£200) and "dirt under the laquer" (£150). They send you a letter saying they will take the money out of your existing direct debit. If you want to challenge it you have to pay for another inspection. It is a brilliant little sideline going on for them, which is a disgrace - I have asked for the cost breakdown and why. If this stops one person from using them then I will be happy although they are probably all at it. The dents the inspector called out were not visible to the naked eye and he admitted they could have been there when we got the car. Will not be going near them ever again.

Check Your Leasing Company and Never Use Free 2M

This company will never agree with a customer and make it so hard to come to any resolution. Only the General Manager at the dealership could make it known that Free 2 Move's treatment was incredibly harsh and most likely not contractual. The tale is too protracted to express here. Eventually I achieved justice but the stress was too much.

Please avoid this company

Please avoid this company. I am currently in dispute re charges they are trying to impose for the rear panel of my vehicle. The vehicle has other charges which I am happy to pay. However I was told the rear panel had been replaced at some point and the paint didn't match ???? not on my watch for the whole 3 years I had this vehicle its never had that panel removed or repaired. They clearly released this would be so hard to prove so now they are saying its the removal of the decals (sign writing) you can still see where they where stuck on. These where installed professionally and I removed them so I would not be charged £100. Do not remove your decals they will charge you saying they are not removed correctly or they can still see where they where on the vehicle. It absolutely shocking 2 different stories for the same part of the vehicle. I am currently going through the dispute process I would strongly advise not to use this company.

DIsgusting company to deal with

One of the worst rental companies to deal with, I used the car for 5 months and return the staff who came to collect told me there is a minor scratch on the rim I agreed and after collection of 3 week later i receive a Invoice for Rim charge as well as multiple scratches which i was not aware of, if the details even the photos which was taken while collection does not show any scratch and suddently after 3 week new phots taken before the repair, additonally they charge me for another subscrition wrongly on my card which until now i am after them for refund. Even When I took the car on rental at first they asked for deposit and other payment which was done 1 week before the car arrival i received a fine notice of course i was not having the car so they removed the fine.
But I will tell you dont get lured by their competitive rate they will treat you my sheep call you by showing you nice green garden and then once you come in you are the dinner, hope you get my point.
