After being a member for quite some time, and paying many 1000 of krona, had a job related question to the Union. Their answer was fantastic

I have been member with this company for almost four years now. Gradually i have witnessed many errors and lies this firm has committed to its customers(me). From the beginning i was told i can have a union and a-kasse as a cook in canteen. But after two years i found out from another source that they dont provide union help to workers like cook. Upon inquiry from f-f i found out that it was true. Why wasnt i suggested from the beginning ?

Soon i had to transfer my union to a bigger firm. Around One month ago I asked them about my situation if i lose my current job. I was again told by some one from the company in a very rude voice that i have to hire a private danish to english speaking translater at my cost as they dont have any english speaking counslar in their firm.

Last year I lost my job through a reorganisation. Bad timing, as I had just fallen pregnant. So it was a challenge for me to find a job; the time was ticking to find a job before I would start to 'show'. Together with my job coach Marie at Frie Funktionærer, we worked hard on getting the perfect CV presentation and the perfect application letter. I was provided with very constructive criticism, which helped me very much. I was invited to several interviews. I just got the hang of it, when my pregnancy started to show. So unfortunately at that time I didn't have a chance to finding a job.
But during my barsel I started my search again, using all the tips and tricks my coach had given me. I only wrote about 5 applications, was invited for an interview at 2 companies, and both companies offered me a job.
I'm never going to change to a different union. :-)

I am really happy that I am a member of Frie Funtionærer. They did a great job in relation with my case, keeping me updated, answering my questions and giving me the legal advice/ information, I needed.
