My encounter with Nova Legal Funding was nothing short of a nightmare, leaving me feeling frustrated and utterly disappointed. From the moment I interacted with their representative, Mercedes, to the lack of professionalism exhibited by the owner, Rob, it was a series of cold, rude, and unprofessional interactions that left me in dire straits and without the funding I desperately needed.

Upon initially reaching out to Nova Legal Funding, I hoped for a seamless and compassionate experience, similar to what I had encountered with another funding company I ended up reaching out to after this horrible experience. Unfortunately, my optimism was immediately crushed when I encountered Mercedes, who seemed to approach every interaction with disdain. Her cold and indifferent demeanor made me feel like an inconvenience, and her lack of basic courtesy was disheartening.

One instance that stands out is when I called on a Tuesday to provide the necessary information from my attorney. However, he was unavailable due to being in deposition until Thursday. Despite this, Mercedes made no effort to understand the situation and, instead, treated me with impatience and indifference.

When the information finally reached Mercedes on Thursday, she informed me that Rob had already approved my funding request, and I only needed to speak with him to finalize the process on Friday. Yet, Friday came and went without any contact from Rob or Mercedes. It was only after I reached out to Mercedes that she begrudgingly transferred me to him. Sadly, Rob proved to be uninformed and ill-equipped to handle the intricacies of funding and settlement matters, which is highly disconcerting for an owner of a settlement company.

Rob's lack of knowledge was evident when he seemed clueless about certain IRS laws related to settlements, raising serious doubts about his qualifications. Despite his assurances that he would call and fund me on Monday, the call never came, and I was left anxiously waiting until Wednesday to receive funding, as per Mercedes' abrupt and unapologetic notification.

This relentless lack of professionalism continued, and even though I tried to reach Rob on Wednesday, all efforts were futile. Mercedes, acting as a cold and unyielding gatekeeper, refused to let me speak with Rob and claimed he had changed his response from Monday to Wednesday. This blatant inconsistency and lack of communication are utterly unacceptable.

Ultimately, I had to endure excruciatingly rude interactions and persistent delays only to be informed on late Wednesday that they would not be funding me. My trust had been shattered, and I was left furious and stranded, desperately needing funds that never materialized.

The stark contrast in experiences became apparent when I decided to turn to Baker Street Funding, where I found unparalleled politeness, promptness, and the full amount of funding I needed without any hassle or unnecessary waiting. Nova Legal Funding pales in comparison, and their so-called settlement lending services are nothing but absurd.
