Charged twice, canceled within one hour, only partial refund given

I signed up for Furnished Finder and was charged $179 for the listing and another $119 for their setup service. Both payments happened within about an hour. The paywall appeared before explaining what each service actually was.

When I realized the setup service wasn’t what I expected, I contacted support immediately to cancel it. Then I tried to continue with the $179 self-service listing, but their verification process failed three times. Since I couldn’t use any part of the platform, I asked to cancel both and get a full refund—within the same hour.

They agreed to refund the $179 but refused to refund the $119 setup fee, claiming it’s “non-refundable,” even though no usable service was ever delivered and I couldn’t even access the listing.

I’ll never use this platform again. Their early paywall, confusing purchase flow, and refusal to issue a full refund for services that weren’t provided say everything about their business model.

Update: I’ve also been in touch with Capital One and will file a dispute for the remaining $119 once the charge posts. I’ll update this review based on how they handle it.

Update 2: It took them 10 days to send an email confirming the $179 refund, and now it will take another 3–5 days before it actually posts. They’re still refusing to refund the additional $119, but Capital One has issued a temporary credit while disputing it with Furnished Finder. Very poor experience overall, long delays and uncooperative service.

Support refuses to update a city location

My property can be searched on Google with two cities - Atlanta or Marietta. I showed proof of this to support asking for help changing the listing from Atlanta to Marietta because the tenant leads that are recommended were consistently looking for city of Atlanta locations and my property on the Atlanta / Marietta line was too far away. They refused to update city even with proof that this was legitimate concern and my
Property can be found with both Atlanta and Marietta addresses. So now I’ve paid $175 for a subscription that is 100% reliant on users looking at the map view and none of the recommended tenants leads are coming from the right geographical location. I will not be renewing my listing and recommend other landlords look elsewhere. Plus the amount of fraud tenants that are on the platform is increasing at an alarming rate.

take advantage and money no results

I paid for a full year to list my home for rent and did not receive a single rental inquiry or booking during that entire time. Despite the complete lack of activity on my account, I was recently charged for an automatic renewal — without any warning or notification.

What’s even more frustrating is that I hadn’t used the service at all throughout the year, which is clearly visible on my account history. When I reached out to request a refund, I was told it wasn’t possible — even though it’s obvious that the service provided me with no value whatsoever.

This experience has been incredibly disappointing. I feel taken advantage of, and it’s upsetting to see such a lack of accountability from a company I trusted. I hope you reconsider how you treat customers in similar situations moving forward.

NOT RECOMMENDED

A week ago, I paid for a listing service through Furnished Finder. Shortly after signing up, I started receiving numerous phishing and spam messages asking for my personal and financial information, which makes me believe my personal data was exposed through their platform. I reached out to customer service to cancel my subscription and request a refund, but they refused, citing their no-refund policy. If a website cannot protect user data and exposes its customers to scams, charging $180 is unacceptable. I had to contact my bank to dispute the transaction.

I cancelled my Furnished Finders…

I cancelled my Furnished Finders account by phone on Dec 27, 2024, and moved out of my property on Dec 31, 2024 and no longer own this property. I hadn’t used their service since Nov 2024 and had 9 months of unused subscription.
On Oct 7, 2025, I was charged $179 for an unauthorized renewal and my listing was reposted. I never received any reminder email and contacted them immediately. Over several calls and chats from Oct 7–9, I asked to speak with a manager or corporate office but was denied every time.
This experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I followed proper cancellation procedures, yet they still charged me almost a year later. Do not trust their billing or customer service. Run from this company! Scam!

Landlords Beware: No Recourse for False Reviews on Furnished Finder

My wife and I have been renting furnished housing for traveling professionals for years and expected Furnished Finder to be a reliable partner. Unfortunately, our recent experience has been very disappointing. A former tenant who materially breached her lease (vaping in the unit, allowing an unauthorized long-term occupant, and improperly discarding medical waste) left a false 1-star review.

When my wife contacted Furnished Finder customer service, she was told they cannot remove a tenant’s review under any circumstances, and that my only option was to post a reply. She requested a call from their Risk & Safety team and was assured she'd hear back within 24–48 hours. That was nearly two weeks ago, and still has not received any follow-up.

In the meantime, both of our properties have suffered from a sharp decline in inquiries, compounding the stress, time, and financial costs already caused by this tenant. Even more concerning, several of our legitimate 5-star reviews have mysteriously disappeared from our profile, further harming our visibility and reputation.

Beyond the review process, the platform itself has serious shortcomings. Their website is clunky and difficult to navigate, or easily use/update the calendar when a stay is extended, etc. Despite these issues, host pricing has increased significantly.

As a host, I find it deeply concerning that Furnished Finder provides no fair or transparent process to dispute demonstrably false reviews, fails to follow through on promised communication, removes positive reviews while leaving false negatives in place, and raises fees while reducing usability. Hosts deserve better protection, consistent support, and a platform that prioritizes fairness and functionality.

FAKE platform - Landlords beware of their tactics

I signed up for this platform as a landlord. I should have known it was a scam when they had some filipino call center rep hounding my phone every day to get me to sign up. I thought it would be a viable way to rent out my home, but what this platform actually does is trick you into listing your property by sending you "leads" for your property that do not match your rental area, criteria or price point. What's even worse is that the renters are so tired of their information being spammed out to landlords that their profiles will explicitly say "do not contact me" This platform might have been legit at one point or useful before but it is now a complete scam. I am requesting a full refund. DO NOT SIGN UP!

Grifters at Best - LANDLORDS AVOID

After working with many different service providers for landlords, I think I have found this one the absolute worst. Their leads are mostly scammers and/or not qualified professionals as they advertise. Then, they also have auto-renewal turned on for their services hidden in the fine print. It's one thing if you want to auto-renew on a monthly basis and not issue a refund, but when your minimum membership is 1 year, it's robbery.

I have received no tenants from this service and I have so little trust in them I asked them to delete all of my data and account information entirely about 370 days after signing up and paying over $300 for nothing.

Horrible website

Horrible site, please do not use! They are extremely scammy and take advantage of their users, especially from the landlord perspective. Tons of hidden fees and completely not user-friendly website. They charged me for another year without enough communication, and refused to give me my money back even though I reached out to them immediately that same day. Awful customer service and management. Not to mention the scams, rarely real people reaching out to you on this site. Stay away!

AWFUL!!!

AWFUL!!!! App and website are confusing to use. Customer service is awful claiming they do not do refunds when they charge your account for a subscription you did not know you had that automatically renews. When talking to a customer service rep she tried to tell me there is no manager/supervisor she could transfer me to as well as no one in the company has the authority to issue a refund. How is that even possible?! You would think at almost $200 a pop they would have the financials to create a better website! Giant scam.

Deceptive Practices and worthless tenant leads…

I strongly advise anyone considering Furnished Finder to avoid this platform. My experience was overwhelmingly negative — both in terms of the service itself and the company’s unethical business practices.

First, Furnished Finder automatically renewed my subscription without clear disclosure or my consent. I was never told during sign-up that the account would auto-renew, and I never received the legally required renewal notice email before they charged my card. When I requested a refund, they flatly refused — even after I cited state law and federal regulations that make such renewals unenforceable. I’ve since learned that many other customers report the exact same issue, suggesting this is not an isolated incident but a company-wide practice.

Second, the platform itself was an utter waste of money. Over the course of my listing, I received zero legitimate bookings. Most inquiries were obvious scams. Others ghosted me after my initial reply. And the few that were real were budget travelers demanding steep discounts or making wildly inappropriate requests — including one woman who wanted to bring four children and multiple pets into a small 2-bedroom, 1-bath property. This shows a complete lack of screening or quality control on Furnished Finder’s part.

Between the deceptive billing, the nonexistent results, the low-quality leads, and the company’s refusal to take accountability, I consider this one of the worst services I’ve ever used. There are far more reputable platforms out there. I will never use Furnished Finder again — and I would strongly caution others to steer clear.

Michell Cardona was an excellent representative as she guided me thru each step with the Dashboard, trying to upload the photos and then evidentially I emailed all photos and the listing was finished ! She was definitely a blessing for me. Thank you so much Michell!

Landlords Be Aware of Auto Renew

Beware of auto renewal. I didnt find the service particularly helpful due to all lowball offers for my space so I took the listing down. Months later they charged me for another year and refused to refund me when I called the same day. Quoting terms and conditions etc and telling me I could turn off auto renewal so I wouldn’t get charged again next year. Not helpful or consumer focused. It took much messaging and threats of legal action for them to back down and do the right thing. Glad they did but it should be easy to cancel within a few days of the dreaded auto renewal as a matter of practice. “Gotcha” is never a good look as a business practice. Hope they learn because if you read these comments and check their BBB rating you’ll see how many people are having the exact same experience. They claim auto renewal as a customer convenience. It’s clearly a money grab. There are much better ways to help landlords who enjoy and want to keep their listings active.

Poor customer service

Auto subscription—emailed 1 year ago to cancel after an auto renew..wasn’t using the service…listing wasn’t active. They refused to refund and I requested they cancel service. They didn’t and just got charged another $180 that they refuse to refund.

Terrible auto renew policy! No refunds ever for any reason.

Same as others report - auto renew subscription charged me for a full year and when I called immediately to cancel as my home is no longer for rent, they refused to refund. So I am paying $179 for a service I am not using. My listing was off-market at the time on their site. What kind of company refused to refund an auto-renew subscription when it is immediately flagged? I certainly don't remember marking auto-renew and my credit card had expired so I'm not sure why it went through.

Deceptive Auto-Renewal Practices - Landlords Beware

I had the exact same experience as many other landlords here. Furnished Finder automatically enrolled me in recurring auto-pay without clear consent or any reminder emails about renewal. They claimed to have sent a reminder but the only email I received from them around that time was a scammer warning - nothing about billing.

When the renewal hit, I immediately reached out to customer support. Instead of addressing the problem, they pointed me to buried sections of their Terms of Service and refused to refund the charge. I even offered for them to prorate the first month, but they flat-out declined.

This is a shady way of doing business. Forcing customers into auto-renewals without transparency, then hiding behind fine print when challenged, is not how you build trust. They’d rather squeeze money from a former customer than build long-term relationships.

Landlords, take note: once you sign up, you’re on the hook for another year whether you want to be or not. ALSO, you cannot turn off the auto-renew option or they will automatically terminate your listing, even during the time period you have already paid for. Slimy practices and absolutely not a service I’ll be recommending to anyone in the rental community.

Shady auto renewal billing practices

Do not trust this company’s subscription service policies.

I’m a busy landlord who paid for a year of listing. Little did I know they AUTOMATICALLY sign you up for recurring auto pay.

When I followed up with customer service the next day after unintentional renewal, they set me some random section of their TOS - as you’d expect - saying auto renewal turns on automatically. They refused to refund the renewal, despite me voicing my frustration as a customer.

Shady business practices. Are they that starved for revenue that they’ll make a customer upset enough to write this review, to make $170?

Can’t wait for them to respond to this email saying how they went out of their way to call me with “alternatives” (at 10pm) after I requested they stop, unless they were going to cancel this auto renewal.

Stay away, landlords!

Do Not Rent with Goose Real Estate or Furnished Finders

I am compelled to share my horrific experience with Goose Real Estate, Furnished Finders and the property they manage at 7350 S Shady Grove Way, which is listed on Furnished Finders. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this house was far from the clean and safe haven it was promised to be.

The house was in a deplorable state. Other people's dirty clothing was found wrapped up in the bedding of the secondary bedrooms where our children were supposed to sleep. The furniture and carpets were stained, and not a single blind in the home operated correctly. Doors were damaged, and the bathrooms were disgustingly filthy. Multiple items were broken, including drapes and kitchen drawers. To add insult to injury, none of the TVs in the home worked independently, forcing us to use our own devices.

Despite our reports to the property management team, no meaningful action was taken to address these issues. The negligence reached a dangerous peak when a family member was injured on the back deck, requiring an emergency room visit due to clear safety hazards and lack of maintenance.

The most alarming incident occurred one evening when we detected a strong odor of natural gas, which led to the discovery of THREE separate gas leaks in the house. This situation endangered our lives and clearly demonstrated that Goose Real Estate and their owners are failing to maintain a safe living environment and are neglecting necessary safety inspections.

To make matters worse, this home is not worth the exorbitant price they are charging. And in a final act of unethical behavior, the property management team opted to keep our deposit for damages that were present before our arrival. This was clear retaliation for expressing our safety concerns regarding their poorly managed property.

I urge potential renters to steer clear of Goose Real Estate and their properties. They operate an unsafe and unethical business that prioritizes profit over the well-being and satisfaction of their tenants. Furnished Finders should reconsider their partnership with such a negligent company.

Keywords: Goose Real Estate, Furnished Finders, 7350 S Shady Grove Way, unsafe, dirty, unethical, gas leaks, injury, deposit withheld
