Dave and Steve delivered and assembled our sofa flawlessly and both worked very well together. Very pleased.

Danny was excellent—polite, helpful and genuinely professional. Unfortunately, Mike was an absolute nightmare and completely let the delivery down.

We’re renovating the house, so most of it is stripped back. The living room is the only finished room, with brand-new flooring laid the day before specifically ready for the sofa delivery. Danny sensibly came in first, assessed the situation and worked out the best way to bring everything in. Mike, on the other hand, simply strolled in with our brand-new cushions completely unprotected, seemingly expecting to put them down wherever.

When we asked for the cushions to be put back in the van until the sofa was inside, we were told the van was dusty. Quite how that makes sense when the cushions had already been in the van is beyond me. Luckily, my mam had just arrived, so we put them in her car to keep them clean.

Then came the worst part. While carrying the first section of the sofa into the living room, Mike tripped over the slight step between the hallway and the newly laid flooring, damaging the edge of our brand-new floor. The flooring had literally been laid the day before. Rather than taking responsibility for the situation, he carried on before later showing me a small cut on his elbow and saying, “I’ll have to get that in the accident book.” Whether he was being serious or sarcastic, I honestly couldn’t tell.

I then politely asked if he wanted the hoover moved from the corner so there was more room. His response was, “As long as I can see it so I don’t trip over.” At that point, the sarcasm was pretty obvious.

The frustrating thing is that none of this needed to happen. Danny had already taken the time to look around and assess the room properly. If Mike had done the same instead of just walking in and getting on with it, he would have seen the slight step and the damage to our brand-new flooring could likely have been avoided.

Danny deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, Mike deserves 0. Rude, sarcastic and completely unprofessional. Receiving a brand-new sofa should be an exciting experience, but Mike made the whole delivery unnecessarily stressful and left us with damaged flooring in the process.

Absolutely fantastic good set of lads helpful. However, I did not get it unwrapped. As I am waiting to get rid of my other furniture first, but they were fantastic. Well done furniture village for employing these lads

The staff in the shop were great, super helpful and had a lot of knowledge.

Andy and Tony were brilliant who delivered the sofa. After a little struggle to get the sofa in, they got it in, all the time being super careful of walls and other furniture.

Delivered on time as stated, unpacked and checked by two very pleasant and polite men and put in place.No problems whatsoever.

The staff were very helpful when purchasing my furniture. The delivery team were great (Dan). They built my furniture for me without any problems. I have since noticed a mark on my sideboard which I have complained about. It has taken a couple of weeks to sort but a replacement has been ordered

Furniture village was excellent throughout this experience shopping with them, could not fault anything, we'll differently be shopping there again if i need anything, also I well be recommending them to everyone.

Just had delivery this morning and what excellent guys they were Andy & Paul very cheerful and happy which can be unusual the way some customers can be as worked I. Retail all my working life. But they’re a credit to your company as is the lass at the delivery centre as well in Durham. Just before delivery this morning I thought I should have ordered the five year warranty when u ordered online as haven’t been in a store it was all done online. Anyway again she was excellent nothing a problem yes I can sort that out for you she clearly knew who I was from my mobile number in your system so she said that’s all sorted the documents will be sent to me and the cleaning kit will be posted. So the entire process has been fantastic. I guess you must have excellent in house training as every single person I spoke to were the same very happy and cheerful and nothing a problem at all. So well done Furniture World as Arnie said I be back as people buy people and as long as you have the right product at the right price it’s a no brainer. The wife’s away and after seeing the chairs against the old table I have a feeling we might be ordering a table to go with the six chairs from you. My fault trying to save money lol. But 10 out of 10 for everyone.

Good service for dining room chairs from the York store. Waited 8 weeks for delivery. Delivery drivers Dan and Shaun arrived on time. Was very professional, asked if they needed to put over shoes on which I said yes as we had new carpet down. They assembled the chairs and took all the rubbish away.
