I paid with a credit card, so they know they're getting paid. These guys will not send the product, even after getting the money for the product, until it's been 10 weeks (their site says it 'may take up to 10 weeks to receive'). Do not buy from this place, you're not saving that much money. At least with the other places like Apmex or Kitco, you get your purchase as soon as they get paid - I have received my stuff in a week from them. I'm still waiting for my coins from Gainesville that I ordered 1/26/26 and it's already 3/10/26. I only saved about $40 with Gainesville rather than going to Apmex or Kitco. Get your stuff right away, don't use Gainesville. I haven't received my coins yet. There is absolutely no reason for it to take this long after they have been paid. Best course of action would be to do a charge back if you used a credit card.

I had a very frustrating experience with Gainesville Coins.
I placed an order for PAMP gold bars and waited close to 15 weeks for fulfillment. During that time communication was inconsistent and unclear. Eventually I was told that the PAMP bars were not available and would not be available in the foreseeable future.
I was offered a substitution for a Comex branded bar along with a $2 adjustment per bar. I proposed a larger adjustment because the retail prices between the products were different, which they declined.

Instead of allowing the order to remain open, they informed me they would be canceling the order and issuing a refund, stating their terms allow them to cancel an order at any time. I never requested a cancellation or refund and had already been waiting nearly four months.

The biggest issue here was the communication and the handling of the order after such a long wait. Customers should be aware that orders can be canceled after extended delays even if you are willing to continue waiting for fulfillment.

I ordered 5 platinum maple leafs in September acknowledging that it might not be until December before getting delivery. When I called about my order in December I was told they don't ship for the 2 weeks around Christmas due to increased package theft but they would be shipping my order in a couple of weeks. They assured me that everything was fine and they would fulfill my order. During this time of waiting my original $7500 order was now valued at around $12000 so I was concerned about them fulfilling my order, but they said they would. Eventually a few weeks ago they admitted that they don't have any platinum at all and had 90 orders ahead of mine that they also couldn't fulfill. I should have demanded that they ship me the equivalent value in either gold or silver since they had been stringing me along, but I was so upset by now I simply canceled the order. Basically at current prices I'm out about $4500. I asked them why their website still shows platinum maple leafs as available when they don't actually have the product and have no prospects of getting it. I was told that they meant to correct this but they still have not done so. So they are still taking orders for products they can't get. Shady practices.
I have actually waited to write reviews about them until their check cleared, that's how little trust I have in them now.
My advice is to deal with more reputable dealers and not be suckered by the slightly lower prices at Gainesvillecoins.
Update on 3/2/26. I see they must have seen my reviews and NOW they show all platinum as unavailable.

If you are planning to sell your items to Gainesville Coins beware that it will take at least 8-10 business weeks after your price is locked in when they arrive at their facility. If you make a call to their customer service they will refer you to their terms and conditions where this is outlined. I am not sure of any business model where this makes sense and is not overly relayed before you ship your items to them.

Eventually I did get my coins after leaving a bad review (seems they finally shipped it at that point). Not really planning to do business with them again but at least they sent the coins which are much more valuable now.

I ordered 5 troy oz of Troy gold July 18th 2025. On site they listed 10-12 weeks, well it's double that now, they kept saying it would come in next week and it never had. With it being 5 months later I asked for a full refund and I believe it should be a FULL REFUND.

To be fair to Gainesville Coins, my payment was refunded after several months. There were really little communications between us, but in the end I received a full refund.

My last order with them was placed on 2/11/25. Today is 9/11/25 and all I can get is a form letter for a reply saying please be patient.
7 months on an order? I thought I had been patient.

Placed an order for silver rounds, this front company took my payment and never shipped my order, months later still waiting for a reply. Do NOT Buy from them, they do not have a good tract record. No replies to my phone and email inquiries.

I ordered 25- 1 oz Gold Eagles and 25- 1 oz Suisse Gold Bars on October 30, 2024 for $143,020.65. They received the wire transfer within 7 days. To date, 10 months later, I have only received 10 Gold Eagles. I have repeatedly emailed and called. I have spoken with Nate several times, each time he tells me they will ship in the next week. Nothing has shipped and I am worried that I have been
scammed. I have done business with Gainesville Coins in the past with no issues. Something has changed and I don't know what to do other than get the authorities involved at this point. BEWARE if you buy from Gainesville Coins!

Ordered both Gold and Silver. I did understand that it would take up to 5-8 weeks to get the coins I had ordered. I started calling them after 8weeks had passed and they did send me some of what I had ordered. It has now been 11 weeks and I still can’t get them tonsend me the larger part of what they owe me. I’ve been contacting them everybweek for the last three weeks and every week they just tell me that it should be being sent later that week. Now they have canceled the order rather than sending it out. Of course the orice if silver has gone up around 15% more now than it was when I ordered it. Reckon that might have something to do with it. I don’t know for sure but I wouldn’t order anything from this business.

Stay away as 12 weeks later and haven’t received coin. I did receive cc refund and ordered from Walmart received in 3 days.

These people lie to you time after time. They cash your check and after 5 months of hounding them, I received my check order. As for my CC order, I filed a complaint with my CC company and they told me because I filed a dispute, they would not fill my order until I told my CC company to remove it. I just wanted to be done with these people and take my business elsewhere. Now 7 months later, they are telling my CC company that I owe them for a gold coin that they never delivered. This company was good when the parents owned it. They had a security guard that was with them for almost 30 years, now that the son's own it, the help is not customer friendly, by design and the son's are unscrupulous. Nate and Yvvette are just their to make excuses for the owners and I have found much better places to do business. DON'T fall for the $1 or $2 dollar cheaper hook online, It's not worth it.

If you're looking to buy precious metals and you're interested in getting at a reasonable time this company is the last place you want to buy. I have bought many of their products from them and lately you can take 6 to 12 weeks to receive your product. And in addition I have also sold to Gainesville coin and the last transaction took several weeks for me to receive my check. I was told the first check went out in the mail and was sent back to them because of damage to the envelope. And I called talked to accounting told them that I would I was checking with the Better Business Bureau and she assured me to check would go out that day. And it did. Side note, I ordered coins from Walmart and received them within 5 days of the order.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. ITS BEEN ALMOST 2 MONTHS SINCE I ORDERD. AFTER WAITING ON HOLD FOR EVER YOU GET A GENERIC WE WILL PASS THIS INFORMATION ALONG. NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU PRESS THEY WONT GIVE YOU AN ANSWER.

You can save maybe half a dollar per ounce. Not worth the hassle of dealing with this dishonest company. Expect 2 months plus for an order to ship, after the check clears the bank. No customer service, terrible store.

UPDATE: 10/19/2023, and they STILL have not shipped my order.

Ordered over a month ago and paid with money order, have called a # of times and was told they are so busy.
Today they hung up on me.

Today is 9/16/23. Used to order from them years ago. They had some cool silver rounds, so ordered on 7/7/23. They did have a notice on the site that these coins would begin shipping on 7/28. And on 7/8, placed another order for other coins. Tried to email, won't go thru. Called several times only to get nonexistent vm. FINALLY spoke to someone on 8/9 to try to find out where my orders were. She had no idea when they would be shipped.
Kept checking the website and found out the second order was FINALLY shipped 8/25. Noticed there was no longer a delay shown for the goods on the first order. Waited a week, still hadn't shipped. So called 9/12 asking why my order still hadn't shipped. She said she didn't know, would check with mgr and call me back within 48 hours. STILL NO RESPONSE 4 days later.
This is beyond ridiculous!

Ordered August 6th. After a month, asked them the status of the order. They said they are behind and do not have an estimated ship date. Refused to respond to subsequent emails or phone calls.
Guess I was scammed.
Never again!
