They really don't care

They really don't care, I have advised them of IBAS underhand schemes and ignoring clear evidence. They take months to come back to you as do IBAS, and then email within a minute of IBAS emailing! they have done nothing , but have seen the email and just follow it up like its their intervention thats got IBAS to respond! IBAS and the GC really should be looked into .

What is the point of this gambling commission HONESTLY.

How does this organisation let theses online casinos get away with all there tactics. There clearly needs to be a shake up. Never seen a company have 100% bad reviews. One things for sure this random number generators need looking into. They definitely pick up on your game play and screw you over.

Don’t bother making any accounts

I tried to open an account and had to wait 3 days to get verified and they don’t tell you how, then I have suspension problems for some rubbish reason as if I’m some criminal and now I made a mistake with card details and can’t deposit and it’s taking years. The process is so bureaucratic and lengthy I don’t even want to gamble but they got all sorts of ID so I have to spend even longer trying to get them to delete my info.
Absolute disgrace! I just turned 18 and wanted a bit of fun and I get screwed over with time wasting and some gestapo restrictions!!

Quite happy to stick their beak in and…

Quite happy to stick their beak in and give bookmakers the authority to ask you for all sorts of sensitive info and lecture you to death about responsible gambling and pop up screens every 2 minutes and let bookies set deposit limits

Yet ask for help with a complaint and they can't tell you quick enough they don't get involved in individual cases. They don't mind getting involved in my individual lifestyle telling me how much I can bet though. Hypocrites

Don't know why they exist to be honest they're a joke

Unfit for purpose

Here's another reason the Gambling Commission is unfit for purpose: Football Index.

Football Index was an obvious ponzi scheme which many people tried to warn about but the Gambling Commission still gave them a gambling licence. For example, Caan Berry has published an email he sent them warning about it months ago.

Football Index even is a shirt sponsor for Nottingham Forest and QPR. Many people naturally assumed that since the regulator had OK-ed Football Index, that Football Index was safe to bet with.

And now, predictably, this ponzi scheme has run out of new money to pay existing bettors. This has been reported in the media overnight - the Guardian, the Mail, etc.

While I never had money in FI because as I say, it was clear it was a ponzi scheme, what bugs me is that the Gambling Commission allowed them, even after the first time Football Index devalued people's bets after having made them which I am pretty sure is a breach of the GC's stated aim which is to make gambling fair.

So what's the deal with the Gambling Commission? Why do they allow predators and blatant scam merchants across the gambling industry to do what they do and then get away with it? This isn't something that's out of the GC's hands. The GC gives companies licences and has the power to make them adhere to the conditions. If the GC tries to say 'not our problem' which, so far, they appear to be wanting to do so, that's a blatant lie because FI is a gambling product and is clearly regulated as such. The GC holds responsibility.

MORE INTERESTED IN DECIDING HOW MUCH…

MORE INTERESTED IN DECIDING HOW MUCH YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BET THAN HELPING YOU

WHEN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT A BOOKMAKER THEY SAY THEY DON'T GET INVOLVED. YOU WAIT A MONTH TO BE TOLD SORRY WE WON'T HELP

YET THEY ARE THE ONES THAT GIVE THE LICENCE TO THESE COMPANIES WHAT'S THE POINT??

complainined numerous times to GCUK…

complainined numerous times to GCUK that the Casino's and providers manipulate roulette, and its clearly evident over youtube and just by logging in and watching it live but they really dont want to know. I put a RFI in a few months ago and part of that was asking how they inspect facilities for the licence. The answer i got back was they dont they just check data ie Win vs lose so they dont actually do much. They clearly are living in cloud land in GCUK in birmingham, with no concept that the casino business, is big busness so they would of found ways to hide basic data.. NEVER trust GCUK they are not worth recognising as a legitemate body anymore as they only use smoke and mirrors to give the illusion to the public that they are doing something

INEFFECTUAL

A largely ineffectual organisation.

In their latest debacle they spend a year employing a number of highly paid individuals to do a study, seeking information on gambling harm and at the end of it came up with a recommendation that auto spins should be disabled on online slots. If you then go onto you tube and check with affiliates they are already advertising to all of their customers/gambling addicts that they can get around this with a free autoclicker piece of software.

Which beggars the question, what has this government quango been doing all year, and do they really understand the business if they were not aware of this piece of software which is available to all free of charge.

Clearly staffed by people who are not in touch with the real world, time to spend the money we waste on the on some other more meaningful product.

Everyone claims you don't care about…

Everyone claims you don't care about customers or there well being

Prove them wrong

Take a look on the betvictor reviews

This company was blacklisted by the Belgium gambling commission and the U. K should follow

They are allowing customers to deposit and place numerous bets daily

They watch this and see customers losing fortunes and ask for no verification as they are profiting

But as soon as the same customer makes a withdrawl they suddenly want i.d.. Documents.. Proof etc

This company is robbing people and your allowing it by doing nothing

If the Belgians blacklisted them

The u.k should be investigating them and keeping u.k players safe

Disgusting.

A pointless entity that exits to give the illusion of regulation, but do absolutely nothing. Try calling them and they gave you small windows when they take calls, usually when people would be at work and never convenient. They don’t reply to emails and they care about as much as the customer as the corrupt casinos do. 100% 1 star says it all, telling they get a 1.4 rating despite everyone giving the lowest score possible, it should be zero to represent the work they do.

2 reasons they are no use to the punter…

2 reasons they are no use to the punter and if closed down we'd be better off

1)if you complain about a bookmaker they tell you they don't get involve in disputes despite being the regulator and the organisation that hands out licences to the aforementioned bookies. What's the point in existing then? You gave them the power to take bets and now when they don't pay you don't want to know

2) the bookies are so petrified of being fined by the GC about responsible gambling that you can't place a bet without having to send the bookies 10 forms of ID, 6 months of bank statements and a chat with their responsible gambling team about if you're safe with you're doing, not to mention pop ups about deposit limits and constant reality checks

Its utterly pathetic, we're living in a nanny state

I want to go back to when you could place a bet and nobody cared and we were treated like adults

This is what all sites say there are with there games and theses people are meant to keep us from getting totally robbed yet all sites who have took my money say there games are legit fair and are not against us if theses people cared they would do something they don’t they allow sites to say a 50/50 chance can turn into a 9/1 chance and not even on a one of chance theses people are the reason people get took to the cleaners

Don't worry about companies like…

Don't worry about companies like novibet who take ages to pay out no you won't get involved in that will you
You will get involved in what I spend my money on though you've given bookies power to close accounts after going through financial details. Apparently I need protecting even though I'm an adult

Pathetic

Big brother nanny state

Have given total power to the bookies to ask for ridiculous amounts of information under the guise of making sure its not criminal or irresponsible gambling
What its got to do with the state how I spend my money I have no idea but now bookmakers can ask for every piece of your private info just for having a bet

Oh and if you think they'll help you if you need help getting paid forget it. They say they don't get involved

They won't get involved in disputes but they'll get involved in your personal finances though. God forbid I can place a bet without needing to show 100 forms of ID

Useless

I can't believe how useless this company are. They supposedly 'regulate' online casinos. However, all they advise you to do is complain to the company. Well, you id**ts, what do you do if you have already complained and the company are ignoring you?! This is where a regulator should step in!
