The food is modern British and delicious. Wholesome and seasonal with plenty of choice. Think confit duck, watercress soup, lemon posset, prune and brandy ice cream - all traditional British in grown up portions. The staff are helpful, enthusiastic and clearly proud to be part of a winning team. The location is unusual, the South Bank of the Thames, next to Lambeth Palace and is part of the Garden Museum. It is busy so booking is required.

The food is amazing cant fault it. But here comes the down size. Ordered 2 pots of tea. The tea pot came with one tea bag. Which we both found a bit weak. So went up and asked if we could have two more. Was told no problem. But then told us it was a pound a teabag. Let's just say i nearly fell over. Most places give a free refill. Was a complete shock

After visiting The Garden Cafe for breakfast on a number of occasions we decided to have my daughters 1st birthday there. It was fabulous. The staff were so helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautiful and everyone commented on how lovely it all was. Thank you so much for letting us have such a wonderful time celebrating. We will be back to try lunch soon!

Food was very fresh bread (brown) was so soft and tasty.chef (with spotless apron)came out to see how our meal was and also helped with recommendation for our anniversary evening meal.
Very suitably priced for what is offered

This is take away only. It is no longer a secret garden accomodating dogs. It used to be my favourite place to take my pooch. The staff were not very welcoming on this visit.
Their Web site does state only take away but several search engins still rate it as the best pooch friendy eateries in Frome.

New to doing reviews but think this place deserves one. Was stretched on staff and still managed to make me a lovely breakfast with a lovely cup of tea.

Horrendous- 25 minute wait for a tea - staff blaming it on sickness- need to employ some more reliable people

Wonderful cafe! We had a delicious lunch, staff are friendly, and whole place - including toilets - immaculate! Definitely worth a visit. (Soup highly recommended!)

Lovely ambience with outside covered dining at the rear. Food is always tasty and good value, also vegetarian menu. May have to reserve Saturday evenings. Check opening hours
