This is certainly not the most rugged capable watch as a matter of fact it's a considerable let down. It's definitely not worth even the $100 off It's not even worth $100 I don't know why you wanna sc... See more

Non-existence customer support.
Purchased a Map Update via Garmin Express. After purchased it THEN tells me the Map is from 2023!! Useless. Worse the Map Update then fails to install.
I have contacted customer services for assistance / refund and I have had no response. Now starting a PayPal claim against them.
Premium Price, Poor Quality
The lug holding the strap of my Vivoactive Music broke some time ago. I managed to glue to together but it has broken so many times now, I have to give up.
When I contacted Garmin, they offered me 30 per cent off the RRP of a replacement watch. Even with this discount, the watch is still more expensive than most high-street retailers.
The watch a) should have been stronger than it was wand b) I would have expected either a replacement or at least a greater discount (to be lower than high street prices).
Sent customer service an email asking…
Sent customer service an email asking for advice about a new device not charging. No response for over a week so emailed again asking for a response. I never got any response but luckily I managed to fix it myself. Surprised at how bad the reviews are for such a big company. Makes me a bit wary having seeing these now. Garmin, up your game.
Worst experience ever
I bought a Garmin Fenix 6s 18 months ago. Since several weeks, the cardio sensor has been giving me very random and incorrect results. After contacting the after-sales service several times, I carried out the reset operations, without success. I was able to obtain Garmin's agreement to return the watch at my own expense. After 2 weeks without news, Garmin tells me the watch was not delivered, even though the post office tracking confirms that it was indeed delivered. No news from Garmin since...400 Euros lost. Garmin, NEVER AGAIN!
Unsafe watch , stay away
I have bought my venu 3 from thailand 2 months ago , first of all i dont wear the watch tight on my wrist but it caused me skin issues and inflamation , every time i take it off i see a weird marks and now its dry , irritated and some skin falling off , besides all of that the battery doesnt last for 14 days as they claim , only lasts for 4 to 5 days maximum and sometimes even less and i only use it to track my sleep , neither for fitness or ever keep gps on , i had huawei gt2 pro for 3 years and was wearing it 24/7 and never had a skin issue i dunno what is this company doing here , and unfortunately i cant upload a picture of my wrest any one who contacts me directly i can show to them though if you dont believe it
Avoid Garmin satnav dezl LGV 610
I bought a satnv dezl lgv 610 from currys a few months ago without doing any research about it, I admit my mistake.
Don't make the same mistake, the product is full of problems, from wrong routes to no signal, live traffic is actually not live traffic, every week it asks to be updated... I think it doesn't get the correct update and many others. ..one of the stupidest things, I wanted to inform them that the length of the trailer does not allow me to make U-turns in some intersections even with the longer length setting and after them I should have stopped then and sent data...in the middle of traffic blocking the intersection.
it has many features that don't help you, at least I don't find them useful.
it seems that Garmin does not have a dedicated site in the UK for satnav devices
Not fulfilling order in due time
Ordering process is bad - they sell watches not in stock, with a 2-3 weeks timeframe for delivery. I've ordered a vivomove sport for my daughter. Two weeks down the line I called them to be told it's still 2-3 weeks. We are the 9 of December, so it is really bad. Very disappointing. Will be changing brand.
Zero update 4 weeks after return
2 weeks after my previous 1 star review and absolutely no update from Garmin. It's now 4 weeks since I returned my Epix for failure to recharge. They have confirmed receipt of my watch in Bray, Ireland. They've then sent it to Netherlands. And they have then sent the watch to the UK. I recieved an email confirming that the watch was despatched 8 days ago but the tracking information does not work. My last call with them was on Friday last- I spent 48 minutes on the phone asking for an update. Apparently the only way customer service has of contacting the warehouse is via email so I was promised a response and I've heard nothing in 5 days from them.
Ridiculous considering I've paid €1,000 for a watch and a further €203 to have it replaced.
Delivery and online ordering experience…
Delivery and online ordering experience not great. In 2024, should be able to order something and get information on shipping etc., but the email contains no information. Just "you've ordered it". Had to chase online to find out when it would be despatched, but nobody can tell me. Poor show. Work on your logistics Garmin.
great watch fast delivery with tracking
Bought a fenix 7 discounted due to release of the 8, competitive price, I didn't customise as was happy with the colourway, really fast delivery with tracking (ordered in the evening and arrived next day!) the watch is great , the band is a little shorter than I would have liked it's a 7s , have bought a aftermarket quick release band which has solved this.
I purchased the Garmin Fenix 7X Solar…
I purchased the Garmin Fenix 7X Solar with high expectations given its premium price and advertised features. Unfortunately, the experience has been a major disappointment:
Inaccurate GPS: The GPS often provides unreliable data, especially in wooded or urban areas, making it difficult to track activities accurately.
Overhyped battery life: Despite the "solar" feature, the battery life falls far short of the claims. After just a few intensive sessions, it drains surprisingly fast.
Unstable software: The watch frequently crashes or bugs out, even after multiple updates. This is unacceptable for such an expensive device.
Poor customer support: I reached out to customer service, but the responses were slow and unhelpful. It seems they are unwilling to acknowledge or address the product's issues.
After this disappointing experience, I’m planning to switch to an Apple Watch. I’d rather have a device that delivers better reliability and seamless integration. Sadly, Garmin failed to meet my expectations with the Fenix 7X Solar.
No customer service
Purchased my vivomove style 31/05/2023 via Amazon.
About 4 months ago I started having intermittent problems with it not saving activities & the GPS going haywire. This morning the same thing happened during my run. The GPS was off & the activity didn’t save.
I went on live chat which was painful in itself, took over an hour for it to even work as I kept getting “error” messages as soon as I got through to someone.
When I did manage to get through they were totally unhelpful. I was told to download an app to a PC which I don’t have, then they said the intermittent issue with saving activities “could” be down to the memory being full. So my options were magic up a PC or do a factory reset. Even so the device is less than 18 months old & I am not the most active person to max out the memory. You would expect with a 2yr warranty you would at least get that out of the device. I’ve been told that a limitation of my device is limited internal storage, I’ve asked where that is advertised on the product page, but shock it’s not. In fact the advisor then back tracked & said if I sync to the connect app, the data should be cleared from the watch itself, I successfully synced an activity the day before so there should be less than 24hrs of data on the watch but they were still confident the issue lies with the internal memory.
The GPS issue they have said they can’t help at all as it links to my phone, so essentially the answer to that was buy a watch with built in GPS.
So after an hour of being asked the same questions in different formates and going round in circles with just “maybe it’s this, can’t help with that” I give up. I’ll be buying a new watch from a different provider. Clearly given the other awful reviews Garmin is not doing so well.
Garmin fenix® Smartwatch, without Garmin Pay?
Mon Oct 7, 2024
EDIT:
Hey Garmin Support, I appreciate all you do! It's been four days without a response, and I'm eager to hear back. Thank you for your help!

Dear Garmin Ltd,
I purchased a Garmin fenix® 7X Pro Sapphire Solar Edition from Amazon on August 25,2024. While the smartwatch is impressive, I am unable to use Garmin Pay because my bank, Truliant Federal Credit Union, isn't listed among your participating banks. Despite contacting Brad and receiving a call from Joey, the issue remains unresolved. I kindly request you consider adding Truliant, which has 300 branches in North Carolina, to your list. Without this support, my $1,075.34 smartwatch cannot be fully utilized.

Purchased a Sat Nav which has…
Purchased a Sat Nav which has subsequently failed (won't charge, won't boot up). After spending hours trying to get through to Garmin via their telephone number, I decided to send them an email, that was on the 5th of September and there has been zero reply since. Exceptionally poor customer service.
Terrible Customer Service
I've been trying to update my Garmin device and wanted to have some advice, which I could not find on the Garmin online support pages, so I tried ringing Garmin UK help line. I waited for 1hr and 23mins with no reply. Terrible customer service.
Bad golfwatch
Well. Bought a golfwatch, GarminApproach S40, in april 2021. After 2 years i could play 18 holes and the battery was almost at zero percent. And slowly it became more difficult to charge the watch. Garmin has its own charge cable with four tiny connect dots. At some point i ordered a new cable and everything was hunky dory again. Except the battery became worser. At this point the second cable died. I read about cleaning the contact points but nothing helped. So yesterday 4 september i wrote an email to the Garmin customer service. While i am reading all the bad reviews here at Trustpilot i really fear a happy end with my Approach S40 (i now probably learned that this model is no longer produced) is out of the question.
Garmin NUVI 760. no more free map updates.
Bought a brand new Garmin NUVI 760 satnav in 2009. I've always had free map updates and even installed European maps for free as promised when I purchased the item. Now they want £75 for an update and the English man I spoke to is telling me my satnav is a refurbished one. This is nonsense and I paid a lot of money for it in 2009 (can't remember exact figure) They are making it up about the refurbish busines and they're trying to con me out of my hard earned cash. They even tried to sell me a new model with more free maps.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Bought a EUR 300 Inreach sattelite phone + a monthly subscription for EUR 55.
The setup guide was really poor but it indeed said that 5 free test messages was included. I then did 2 tests only to find out that this was indeed not free and that I was using up my limited 10 messages which is reserved in case of actual emergency.
I explained the situation and asked if they could reset the messages included or add some more, but I just got a clear no which no further explanation.
I will look to return the device and cancel the subscription and never buy anything from Garmin again.
Bad service & products
I own a Descent MK2 and the latest InReach Mini 2 with a Freedom Safety Plan. While I wanted to redeem a free and valid coupon on an accessory purchase the 10% discount wasn’t provided and Garmin The Netherlands didn’t want give a 10% refund. The battery life of my new InReach Mini 2 is far below the specifications. Here Garmin The Netherlands didn’t want to support. Instead of forwarding my (warranty) question, they told me to reach out to their US contact myself.
Poor experience
Ordered a watch as a birthday present for my wife on Garmin’s website. There was no mention of item being out of stock and so I placed my order and was notified that my order would be dispatched within 1-3 days. However, 4 days later, when still no sign of shipping, I contacted them via their live chat to be told that my item was out of stock and would take at least 2 weeks to arrive!!!! That’s ridiculous, why not showing stock level of items? And then make customers wait without notifying them? Don’t bother, I ended buying from a different leading brand. To me this experience has definitely tarnished Garmin’s name.
