I rarely purchase fine jewellery or high quality watches. However as a resident of Hitchin I popped into Gatwards today on the off chance they could fix my metal watch strap, as the spring bar had fallen out. They were very helpful and even adjusted the position of the spring bar so that I had a comfortable fit. No charge! A professional service with a smile. It made my day.

I wrote to the MD of Gatwards of Hitchin extending an invitation to a ViP gathering in London three weeks ago. The MDs Secretary was very professional, helpful and polite. She said she would make sure the email invitation was read by her MD. After 3 weeks I got no reply and not even an acknowledgement of my invitation. This is despite stating in my email that I have bought several high value items from Gatwards of Hitchin.
This is a very poor style of customer engagement and not the way to treat a customer or client.
I will not be buying any more jewellery from Gatwards as clearly they have enough clients and customers and do not need to bother with responding to customers.2nd

Excellent service as usual from Gatwards in Hitchin. I was looking online and found a couple of pieces I was interested in and I had a few questions. My questions were answered videos were sent, I saw the items being worn (necklaces) and I was able to see the measurements up against a ruler. It didn’t matter what I asked they happily responded and this led to two items being purchased. Thank you Gatwards.

Gatwards of Hitchin tempted me with a great price on a new watch and it arrived next day. I had concerns about how to activate the manufacturer's warranty and Gatwards replied to my email straight away with all the information I needed. A perfect transaction!
