Customer service in Hamborg airport…

Customer service in Hamborg airport delivers bad service. Asked for a luggage tag - they had them in the counter but they didn’t want to give them and just said you don’t need them and insisted on that they didn’t have them….. bad service with attitude!!!

The Airline is an absolute disgrace

The Airline is an absolute disgrace. Very disappointing service. Today I’m having my 5th flight with them at 19:40 to Düsseldorf , I’m still waiting for my gate to be announced (19:51) and like the other 4 times is delayed. I never had such experience throughout my whole life. Even one star is too much for them.
Proper scam.!!!!

Never again Eurowings. The worst company we ever flew with

there is no less than one star to give, hence one star is the case of what we'd give. My family travelled from London to Greece for summer break (14 days) via Germany. The flight from London got delayed. We just about caught the German flight on the transfer but as soon as the plane doors closed, we had to wait for at least 2 hours before we take off (hot, not an offer of a drink, no one to be seen to give us info, like prisoners). Unfortunately, our suitcases didn't transfer, thought we were in the plane for 2 hours!!!. We arrived in Greece and they were not there. Filled a lost form at the greek office which was specifically for lost luggage (an agent and not a Eurowings office). The suitcases turned up after 5 days. So for 5 days we had no clothes, nothing. The Eurowings website was uncontactable and a year after still they have not replied to any means I tried to contact them!!!! The link to complain about lost suitcases was not working (of course). There should be a place where you can complain about this service for these companies to stop operating if it is airlines. If they cannot manage a simple thing as suitcases, lost suitcases, a link and to take responsibility about their actions, the complain link, why you should try them with your life to fly. Never again. Extremely bad company. the worse i ever flew with (we have 2 family flight trips per year). Never again Eurowings. Anything else but Eurowings

Greedy, unreasonable and inhumane. Just make sure you book everything correctly

So, we didn’t realize this was a budget airline.
So we are slightly at fault for that. But the experience we had was really bad.
I had booked 2 bags instead of one bag and a golf bag. They made us have to pay for the golf bag as oversized, but wouldn’t let us transfer the large bag and put that towards it.
So it was a completely new charge of 50 euros.

We got to the check in area and they said that we need to pay for our cabin bag, which is a normal cabin bag, I’ve never had to pay for before. Ok, I said let’s check it in, we still have a spare bag to check in so can you take it that way.
No, was the answer, another 60 euros as they said they can’t check it in from there.
Then,
They checked it in as we went onto the flight.
So, there argument was void.

Otherwise I’m sure it would have been a fine flight experience. But incredible to see how a company can have such a lack of flexibility when you’ve paid a lot of money already.

Avoid this airline

Avoid this airline. They act as low budget airlines but will charge you with hidden costs. I booked my flight with an extra 12 kg luggage and they charged me 60 € for that luggage because I wanted to take it with me to cabin nd not check in. This was the smallest luggage bag less than 8 kg! They had delays sitting in plane. In seats with extra legroom, there was not even a basket to put my stuff like mobile in. It is the worst airline.

Great flight to Stockholm

Great flight to Stockholm. As a member of Lufthansa Group - a service performance more than Ryanair…
The hotline is difficult to understand ( language capabilities) and the App is not working very well. I wasn’t able to book additional carry-on online( 96€ for 2) so I had to do it at the airport. They charged me 180€ for 2 carry ons ( return) . This jas nothing to do with a quality airline and customer orientation is probably not existing. As a Lufthansa Frequent Traveller I‘m more than disappointed .

Unprofessional, incompetent, wrong Accounting & Support Services at Eurowings-Sending several times wrong ticket invoice

Unprofessional, incompetent, wrong Accounting & Support Services at Eurowings. Very bad and wrong service by Eurowings Accounting-Support Department. Sending several times wrong ticket invoice and never sent the right ticket invoice. At a business trip paid by a company, do not send a proper, correct receipt to the company as it should but just send only a booking confirmation which cannot be used as invoice by thew company. Unbelievable. No other airline in EU does that. Every airline issues a proper invoice to the company or person who pays. Eurowings not. Do not recommrend Eurowings at all to anyone. Avoid flying with Eurowings!

My Review of Eurowings – Flight from Cyprus to Berlin (June 22, 2025)

I’ve flown many times before, and I know what a normal descent and landing should feel like – this was not it.

During the flight from Cyprus to Berlin, the approach and descent phase were extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. Although the actual touchdown was smooth, the 20 minutes of descending felt completely unstable. We experienced a strong sensation of falling, irregular changes in altitude, and unexpected G-forces that were clearly felt by everyone around me. It felt like the pilot had poor control over the aircraft’s speed and glide path.

The weather conditions were perfectly normal – no wind, no turbulence, and good visibility – so there was no excuse for the way the descent was handled. It genuinely felt unsafe.

This was not just a rough landing – it was a badly flown approach, and I no longer trust this airline with my safety. I will not be flying with Eurowings again.

Unprofessional, unreliable and ill informed

I recently had a deeply frustrating experience with Eurowings on my flight from Düsseldorf to Cairo. Despite having all the required travel documents, including a valid passport, valid German residence permit and confirmation of my new residence permit, I was denied boarding. I spent two hours being sent back and forth between the check-in and ticket counters, with no one willing to assist or even listen to my situation. The lack of communication and support was appalling, and I ended up missing not only my flight but also important work meetings and connecting flights. I strongly urge Eurowings to improve their customer service or shut down if they can handle passengers and ensure their staff is properly informed about manner and travel regulations. Extremely disappointing. I strongly recommend to not fly with Eurowings as they are not reliable at all. Complete bad mark as an German airline.

Disappointing Experience with Luggage Handling

I recently flew with Eurowings twice within a week, and in both cases, I experienced significant issues with checked baggage. On the first flight (June 5, 2025, from Seville to Düsseldorf), my backpack did not appear on the assigned belt. After more than an hour of waiting and inquiring, it was eventually returned without explanation.

On my second flight (from Düsseldorf to Barcelona), the same thing happened again. I eventually found the bag on a different belt, unattended, and noticed that one item was missing.

While I understand that operational issues can occur, I was disappointed by the lack of clear communication at the airport and the customer service response afterward. I was asked to provide a police report and receipts for the missing item – something that is simply not realistic during personal travel.

Although the tone of the response was polite, it did not reflect real accountability or a genuine effort to resolve the issue.

Based on these back-to-back experiences, I’ve decided not to fly with Eurowings again, and I hope that the company takes steps to improve both baggage handling and customer support in the future.

DO NOT BOOK WITH EUROWINGS

Horrible experience with this company and will always advise anyone against booking with them. We had a connecting flight departing from London to Cologne-Bonn, which would then take us to berlin. The total flight time was 2.5 hours on the plane. Due to having a 45-minute flight delay in London airport and only a 55-minute stopover, we arrived to our connecting flight in cologne-Bonn with less than 10 minutes to get to the boarding gates, which we were advised once we arrived to the gates that they were closed. We were not warned about this prior or during the flight. We sought help at their customer service desk and the agent at the desk advised us we can catch a replacement flight the following morning, but due to it being 6:30pm and having accommodation booked in berlin that night we opted in to take a subsidised train shortly afterwards which lengthened our transport time from 1 hour and 10 minutes to 6 and a half hours. We were told by the agent that we would be able to submit a contact form to request a refund but were NOT advised that if we chose the replacement train that we would not be reimbursed for our tickets. We were misled by the employee which would be a direct violation of the policies that protect customers, and we also brought this to their attention, which they did nothing about. We paid over 300 euros to fly 2.5 hours in total and ended up spending 8.5 hours on transport instead and were denied reimbursement. What an absolute joke of a company. Do not book with them and help me spread the word so that this company goes under and is forced to shut down.

Like other reviews say... Be prepared to get charged for luggage again at the gate

Like other reviews say, rude ground staff double charging transport of small on-board suitcases with ridiculous arguments and when the client shows payment slips of the previous payment of 55 Euros and doesn't happily want to pay another 60 Euros for their 5kg case, they turn into bully mode 'offering' you can leave your suitcase behind and 'they would happily throw it into the garbage for you'. After the incident I was approached 3 times by empathetic passengers who had witnessed the rude and unprofessional behavior. When I said I would write review upon the incident, another ground agent moved up very closely, saying : "What do I hear? Are you trying to threaten us?" I stayed calm and explained to her that it is a passenger's right to write a review. Seeing what others said before, many reviews coincide completely with what happened to me. Never again. Not for me personally nor for my family nor any of the people participating in our programs. Nobody needs such terrible experience. Not on a business trip nor to have a holiday ruined. The staff is zero trained. If they have no resolution skills on a normal issue that presents itself regularly on flights, one can only imagine how overwhelmed they would be if there was a real problem. Besides, the flights aren't cheap with all the supplements to be paid. It's not really low cost, but for sure low service. I rather have a 5 hour layover than repeating this horrid experience. But... Sooner or later the market itself usually resolves the case of companies that do so clearly not appreciate their customers.
Addition: After reading a big amount of reviews reporting the same exact thing that happened to me, it could be a business model. If they charge 60€ once again in the airport for a little suitcase that the client has not left in the right place 100 times in a day and that's a low estimate with all the flights in a day, it's 6.000 Euros, and almost 2.2 Million in a year. If the same is done 100 times because someone is a few hundred grams overweight, and another 100 times because the suitcase is 2cm too big, we're talking a nice sum every year.

One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I called the customer service requesting a cancellaton of my flight. The customer agent told me I am not able to cancel my flight because I didn't book the premium option, but she can put me on no-show and I will get the airport taxes and fees back.

I asked her if I understood correctly that they won't cancel my flight, they will put me as no-show so another person won't be able to book the flight and my seat will be empty, even though I am now telling them I am cancelling my flight?

She said yes.

I then asked her how much will I get back and she spent 10 minutes trying to find it out but she could not.

I ended a call and called again. I got another agent who told me they are not able to see the details of my booking in their system... What? Your entire job is to help people with their bookings. How can you do your job without the information?

She then said she tagged me as no-show and I will get airport fees and taxes back after the dates of my flight. I asked her if she can send me the confirmation email which also specifically states how much money will I get back.

She said I can open the contact form on the website and send a message to the customer support team to request for that breakdown.

I asked her if I understood correctly that she, the customer support agent, won't send me the confirmation email and breakdown and that I am supposed to open up a support ticket, which will reach her later during the week to which she will reply with the information?

She said yes.

I am completely baffled and have no words about the stupidity of their customer support system.

Avoid

Flights delayed for both legs of the journey - by 1 hour outbound, and by 5 (!) hours inbound. Clearly systematic. No meaningful updates, misleading responses. Ground staff rude to a senior/elderly passenger in front of me.

That said, cabin crew were nice and polite, they should apply their skills and talent elsewhere.

Horrible costumer service even worse flight

After the below mentioned horrible, unfriendly, rude costumer service, after they ripped us off due their OWN FAULT on their own website the trip experience was just as horrible as their employees on the ground. Packed like a sardines, the belt wouldn't even close nor fit(safety ehhhh, what is that)(it was for a size of a child). They ripping of ppl even more, selling "business class(🤣🤣🤣🤣)" places for "bigger legspace" (getting the same horrible treatment), but these business class seats would be considered as the average seat sizes, even at other discount flights. It was steaming hot, then they finally turned on the ventillation which prolly haven't been cleaned and disinfected for ages, since the day after we landed I got horribly sick from bacterial infection. Thanks eurowings for all the green snot dripping from my nose, it was definitely an experience. A never-ever-again kind of horroble one, but definitely an experience.

Didn't provide receipt for flight

Didn't provide receipt for flight. No answer to several emails, no answer over the phone. Was a business trip which means money loss if you don't have a receipt. Answer came 5 month later stating they can't provide/change receipt.
