Strongly advise to stay away from…

Strongly advise to stay away from Bellhop. They misrepresented the scope of their work, failed to carry proper authority under the FMCSA (as they are legally required to do) at the time we signed our contract, tried to tie contingencies into a refund such as cancelling a bank chargeback, removing reviews, etc. (coercion to waive consumer rights) Do your homework here as there are plenty of reviews online of similar experiences.

Worst moving company in the world!

Worst moving company in the world!! DO NOT USE!!!!
My husband had to put on THEIR moving straps and move half of our stuff with one of the movers because the other mover was too tried and kept saying “he didn't give an F about any of our stuff.” And the other mover that my husband was helping, it was his first day. They were careless with our stuff, one of the movers was trying to convince me to throw things away so they didn't have to pack it in the truck. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!! We were told our rate would be adjusted because of our horrific experience but then they charged us $400 extra! I have been calling 10 times a day for a week and can not get a hold of anyone to solve this. We hired movers to make our moving experience less stressful before we moved out of the country and all it did was add 100x more stress.

Rating should be 0

Rating should be 0. Bellhop company isn't professional my moving window was from 2-3 truck driver showed at 1:58 pm but no movers.

Contacted customer service multiple times, requested a supervisor. Sup name Erica had the audacity to say if I can get a U-haul truck she'll get me some mover.

The truck driver that came left after waiting several hrs for the movers to arrive although he left around 4:00 pm he just pulled off and didn't say nothing. So I was definitely in total shock.

Here again I contacted customer service requesting a Supervisor which I was transferred over to supervisor Erica

She offered apology and asked can I purchase a U-haul truck at last minute we're pushing close to 5:25 pm. I told her no, for the simple fact, the amount I paid Bellhop was for the driver and 2 movers, it didn't make any sense to me, for her to have the nerves to ask me to do such a thing as renting a U-haul and she'll get me some movers.

What I didn't understand as I explained to her, How magically you can get movers if I agree to purchase a U-haul but the main issue was the movers never showed when the assigned truck driver was here for hours.

I'm highly pissed 😡 the location where all my belongings, no longer have power at that location because I transfer my power over to my new home and it has no furniture.

Bellhop now has messed with me having to take a day off from work tomorrow 2/20/25 without pay because of they screwup.

I'm a work from home agent. All my items are packed and was ready to go for Bellhop to move.

I want my refund from them now, the quickest they took it from my account the fastest they need to get it back in my account. I'm pretty sure hiring a moving company shouldn't be a stressful process.

The entire experience has been a complete disaster. Going forward I will move the old fashioned way that was the first moving company I ever used and never would I again put my trust in another moving company. You live and learn.
When the supervisor told me the lead/mover who's assigned couldn't do anything, because his helper didn't show. Then she gave me another story stating the helper when she spoke to him stated he wasn't coming because of where I reside has bad weather.

I'm like what type of bad weather, her reply was it's cold. Heck it's been cold here all day, so like I told her if that's the case, they never had any attentions moving me from the jump.

My spouse and I agreed it would have been best to use a moving company since he works out of town and his company wouldn't let him take off today. Really Bellhop should be compensating me for my time wasted truth be told. If I agreed to have gotten the U-haul, we was to going to be in the same boat. As the excuse she gave at the very end helper not coming because of it being cold but hours earlier if I rented the U-haul she was going to get me some movers.

Whole process has been exhausting, very stressful and I never enjoyed having to write a bad review upon any companies.

Long Distance Move from Phoenix, AZ to Dallas, TX

I booked a long distance move with Bellhop on 01/17/2025 from Phoenix, AZ to Dallas, TX scheduled for Thursday, 01/30/2025 at 8am. The move was booked with 1 26-ft box truck, 1 truck driver, 4 loaders (1 lead loader and 3 loaders), and the truck was supposed to be equipped with basic tools, 30 moving blankets, shrink wrap, and dollies. The loaders were responsible for disassembly of furniture, wrapping furniture, and loading the truck- all of which was estimated to take about 4 hours.

On the day of the scheduled move, Thursday, 01/30/2025 at 8am, 2 loaders came to the house- 1 of the loaders was not originally scheduled for this specific job and he was asked to come by someone from Bellhop last minute. He mentioned that it was strange that the truck driver’s name was not listed on the job and at 8:30am, I called Bellhop to confirm that everything was in order and that 2 more loaders would be arriving as well as the truck. Bellhop put me on hold as my moving coordinator that I had been dealing with was not in the office yet. When the operator came back on the phone, she notified me that there was a delay in a job from the day before and the truck driver would not be arriving until 2pm, 6 hours after the original scheduled time of the move. While frustrated that we were now delayed at least 6 hours and had not been notified until after the truck was scheduled to be there, we understand that sometimes things happen. The 2 loaders left and said they would be back at 2pm.

At 2pm, the 4 loaders arrived, the truck was still not there. The lead loader smelled intensely of marijuana- we were already delayed so much at this point that we just put the loaders to work to disassemble and start moving items outside for when the truck arrived. Because the supplies that were supposed to have come with the truck were not there, we unpacked our tools and allowed the loaders to use them and we went out to get moving blankets and shrink wrap to start wrapping the furniture. At 2:30pm, I got a call from my moving coordinator asking if the moving truck was there, it was not. She called me back maybe 15 minutes later, and informed me that the truck driver said he was on the way.

The truck finally arrived at 4:30pm with 6 small, tattered, dirty moving blankets and dollies, no shrink wrap or tools. At this point, we had been on the phone with Bellhop many times to find out what was going on- when I asked to speak with our moving coordinator, she was “engaged in another call” multiple times so my husband and I expressed our frustrations to the other operators and they said that she would call us back. When we finally got a hold of her, we voiced our concerns about many things:
• 8.5 hour delay of the truck- when the truck arrived, the items that were contracted to be there were not, so yet again, we had to go to the store and purchase more moving blankets and shrink wrap- on that day, we spent $500 in additional moving supplies.
• The lead loader smelling of marijuana and the lack of professionalism by the lead was concerning, he was complaining about Bellhop and how the truck driver is normally listed on the job and he knew that something was not right, he was not moving things carefully or instructing his team to move things carefully
• 2 of the loaders were not productive or properly trained- they lacked the basic and necessary skills for packing and moving heavy items. One of them tried to flip our very expensive and very heavy 8-ft dining table by himself until my mother-in-law stopped him and asked him to wait for the other loaders to help him.
• My entire family had to step in and take initiative to move things to the truck and to move heavy items because it was clear that the team was not capable of doing what they were hired to do.
• We have 2 Gaggenau wine fridges that hold 70 bottles each, worth $9,700 each- we mentioned that the wheels only wheel in one direction and they kept scraping it along the ground outside. When the wine fridges arrived in Dallas, they did not stand.

Our moving coordinator apologized and said that she escalated our situation with her supervisor and her supervisor would be handling compensation for all of the issues we had. We never heard from this supervisor. She also had me send her the hotel bookings we had in El Paso that night and said that we would be reimbursed, nothing ever happened with that. We finished at 11pm and ended up booking 2 more nights of hotel rooms because of the delay.

After my credit card was charged, all I got was generic, automated responses to how I could file a claim. It's unfortunate that this company is making money taking advantage of customers. I would expect there to be some level of empathy or human decency in the industry of hospitality, but this was the worst experience I have ever had with a company.

Great work!

Guys were professional, efficient, and strong. They made very short work of a complicated furniture unloading that probably would have been the death of me, if I had tried to do it.

Single women, avoid this company

Hi, my name is Andrea and I'm a single woman who booked Bellhop movers as I had no one local who was able to help me. I was hoping that by paying over $700 for a move that I would have all the help I needed. That was not my experience. I was moving a bedroom (including bed and dresser), kitchen table and bench, wicker patio furniture, a few bookshelves and boxes. It was not a full home move - no living room furniture, no washer/dryer, only one bedroom, etc. My Bellhop movers joked as they packed my items in the truck that the 26-foot truck was definitely overkill, that it would be a super easy and quick move, and we would be done very quickly. My belongings were going into a storage unit as I'm in a temporary living situation. The movers would not have to navigate moving my items into a new home so again, they joked it would be quite easy. My storage unit was about half full so I told my Bellhop movers before we left the house I was moving out of that I would need some help stacking items in the storage unit so we could ensure all of my belongings would fit. When we arrived at the storage unit the team lead, Dwayne Miller, changed his attitude immediately. He looked at me with anger and disgust and said, "What are you doing? This isn't going to work! We have a 26-foot truck out there, we can't fit all this in! What are we doing here?" I reminded Mr. Miller that I had informed the team that my storage unit was about half full and had asked them to help me stack items properly so we could fit everything in. I also reminded him of his own statement that the truck was not anywhere close to half full. Mr. Miller continued to speak to me with irritation and indignation, saying "This is not going to work. I don't know what you're thinking. You're going to have to figure something else out. We can try to consolidate, but it won't be enough." He's the moving professional, so I began to panic. The storage place was closed, so I reached out to a friend to ask if he had any space in his storage unit and he kindly responded that he did. Luckily, the unit was only 8 minutes away. I informed Mr. Miller of this and he said, "Text me the address" dismissively and angrily. I asked for his cell phone number. He said, "What is wrong with you? I sent you a confirmation text this morning." I had forgotten, but I found it in my texts. Mr. Miller then demanded I text him the access code to the storage unit, which I was uncomfortable with, but his anger had me really quite frightened. I was a woman alone, and this man had become very angry with me. Mr. Miller and his cohort had stacked a few boxes but they did a terrible job, so I decided that I would try to consolidate my storage unit on my own. I began moving bookshelves, dressers, boxes, lifting heavy items over my head on my own and by the time Mr. Miller arrived back at the unit with some of my items I had properly consolidated everything. Mr. Miller and his cohort continued to bring items in but they were not stacking properly according to weight and so everything would fit, so I had to direct them where to put items. As it became clear that everything would indeed fit in my storage unit, Mr. Miller approached me and said that he had been wrong. I appreciated the sentiment, but it didn't do me much good as I had already done the work myself. I told him that he had really frightened me and he replied that he didn't feel he had done anything wrong and that's not who he is. I'm sure that's not who he is, but I have no other information to go on other than how he treated a single 41-year-old woman who had hired professional moving help and received anger, dismissal and a refusal to do the job properly in return. I cannot express how stressful and scary this experience was for me. I cannot in good faith ever book Bellhop again because I cannot be sure that I will receive the help I paid for and more importantly, that I will be safe. I especially caution single women against booking this company. Also, their address in Chattanooga is incorrect in nearly every public listing, including Google Map and this form itself.
