Its a major commitment of time & money to move booking platforms, and Timely is a premium option. NB. this will be a FIVE star review once these major issues are fixed / implemented.
1. SUPPORT is not always available on the phone, as expected.
2. There was recently a SERVER ISSUE that meant messages were not being sent to clients - no confirmation of booking, no reminders etc. This resulted in a higher than usual level of client "no shows" - We were not made aware of the issue when it was already known to Timely!
No compensation was offered for the lost business.
3. FORMS - for the Therapist to be able to complete forms an Apple device is required, forms does not work with android, most of our Therapists have android, so we needed to purchase an iPAD just to access forms! This was not clear to us at sign up.
4. INVOICES cannot be set to be sent automatically after an appointment, this creates more admin.
5. REFUNDS are not processed automatically, instead we need to keep an eye on every cancellation and manually refund, creates more admin.
6. So far, 3 months in, instead of actioning the above issues, that we know others have complained about as well, they have done nothing to address these features above that are part of most other booking platforms.
Placed large coffee order and it arrived in a timely manner ! Well packaged. No issues !
Always so helpful and no question is ever an issue. Frances is always able to answer any question so that I fully understand the answer. This is defiantly a major reason why I choose timely as I am able to get the best support possible.
I’ve been using Timely over 3 years and it always felt supported with their team.
It’s easy to manage and setup the system. When I need their support it always comes back an answer! Even today my client said she found very easy to book an appointment online. !!!
i’ve had a few queries about setting up the system and amending diaries and the support system was great moe was really quick to respond and provided all the information i needed.
Our salon has been using timely for the last 5 years. We have multiple locations. Timely has been great to work with. So intuitive and the support we receive has been great.
Overall is fine, but the “today” button constantly takes you to the wrong day, usually months ago. It’s really annoying. Yes I have complained but it has not been fixed.

Have had an ongoing issues with my mini website with get timely where the query contact box for my new clients isn’t working and they can’t send me a query as the captcha isn’t working.
I’ve raised this incident with them twice now.. once a few weeks ago and another last night. They keep brushing me off telling me they have bigger bugs to care about than mine and they can’t give me a time frame of when sorted
Last night Hayley from get timely told me again, “ Unfortunately as mentioned currently, our development team is focused on resolving higher-impact bugs that affect a larger number of users. While this issue is not in our immediate timeline for resolution. We do not have a time frame on when this bug will be fixed at this stage. “
Honestly the worst company ever. Their attitudes stink. Yet they happily charge you £34 for a service which doesn’t work. AVOID AT ALL COSTS this brings your business into disrepute. Disgusting way to run a company. You guys should be ashamed.
I moved my services over to Timely with the reassurance of 24hour support and an efficient booking system
I was impressed Timely had software that can transfer services over alongside notes and client details.
Upon moving over I was struggling to access certain things via mobile app and when I (finally) got hold of support, I was told it is not compatible with an Android device and I should be using a laptop
This was not mentioned at any given point. When I asked why this wasn't mentioned I was told that Android software is currently being tested.
I felt lied to. Between my husband and I we've only got 1 laptop so this wasn't going to be any good to me.
Then clients struggled to book online (it cancelled their booking after 10 mins if card details were not in) when I spoke to Shez about this his response was "it encourages clients to book quicker"
I struggled to contact support via the app and when I tried to ring all advisors would be busy or it was out of hours. I was told there's 24 hour phone support
I then rang and spoke to Shez about not getting on with Timely and want to go back to my old booking system and he didn't ask why or how he could help. His response was "OK sure".
I spoke to Georgia the next day and she was so lovely and helpful and tried to make my experience positive. She also explained that memberships couldn't be transferred over (lies from the sales team) and needed to be converted to gift vouchers. She included step by step instructions and reassured me that she is happy to help.
By this point though the damage was done and I have felt lied to and couldn't wait to see the back of Timely after 6 weeks with them.
Then I contacted support to cancel and was told I had 3 days to move everything over. I had to send an email to state that this would be a struggle and in all fairness she did extend the deadline.
I have not had a good experience with Timely more so with Shez. Maybe if I had spoken to Georgia or someone like her then maybe I would have had a different experience
Shez sounds like a waste of space and not bothered about his job or customer service. Reluctant to help too.
Based on conversation with Shez I wouldn't give this a 1*
Talking to Georgia, Moe and Anna literally towards the end who were helpful is why this is 3*

I’ve been with timely for over 10 years, the price is not that cheap for such a lack of support system.
The phone they provide for contact doesn’t exist, the chat online is a joke and useless for important matters and to book a call them availability is more than a year

The booking system is so easy to navigate and all of the back end systems are very user friendly!! The support system is also incredible the response time is unmatched! I’ve never had long wait times in response to my questions and always have helpful outcomes!! Thank you so much guys!!

I use Timely for my Homeopathy Practice (so not a salon). I had a strange situation where the booking time was out by 1h from that of the client. As my client works with others in Italy her system clock was out AND I had a box checked that aligned with that. Dammed if I could find the problem, but the tech team and Timely did - so thanks for that.
Timely is a fantastic booking software comprehensive yet easy to use. It has all the features my business needs, along with impressive automation that streamlines my workflow. The support I've received from Jim Matson on the support team has been exceptional. He's been incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout my transition from Vagaro to Timely, guiding me through every step and answering all my questions.
Whilst timely is mainly used for the beauty and hair industry, we have adopted this program into our professional services business for client appointments. We have now started using the online bookings and will begin other options such as mail outs. It also syncs to xero which is a plus. Service is also quick and efficient and very helpful.
Price increase with no improvement in service. Passive aggressive customer service. Many glitches and poor features. Gatekeeping basic features with the most expensive plan. Overall, not worth the money and seeking other options.
