Really REALLY don't order from here!

Really REALLY don't order from here!

The items on the site look great, but the table I received was the wrong colour (gold not copper) and the wooden top looks laughably awful. It's supposed to be rustic wood, but you can see massive globs of glue, the cheapest wood imaginable and totally uneven and not level. The item I received looks NOTHING like the website photo or description.

Save your money and order from a reputable company. I took a risk and now I'm spending hours trying to resolve it with their slow and unprofessional customer service dept.

Edit (Feb 20 2022):
The resolution was acceptable but I still had an awful experience receiving the wrong item and having to spend hours resolving your issue.

Your products are cheap wholesale stuff made in India and China that you're marking up. The fact that you allowed me to pay $50 for a side table (priced at $188 originally) indicates that your profit margins are huge and that you are likely selling poor quality products.

If you're thinking about ordering, don't. GFurn's quality and customer service are poor.

The side table you ordered (on April 19, 2020) is made in India and the top is made from mango wood. On the product page (Taula Side Table with Copper Base), we mention: "This item is artisan crafted. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations in the wood or metal work are to be expected."
You are totally right that you received (on April 22, 2020) a gold frame instead of copper, and that is definitely our mistake.
On April 22, 2020 you sent us a message mentioning our mistake (gold vs. copper base). On April 24, 2020 (two days later and after we had to check internally about the mistake + back and forth emails with you), it was decided that you would keep it with a significant discount. The purchase was for $188.03 and on April 24, 2020 a refund of $138.03 was processed. Message from us on April 24, 2020: "Refund has now been processed by our accounting department.
Again, we apologize for not having been able to fulfill the right product (our mistake!)."
Response received: "Thank you for the acceptable resolution"

Edit (Feb 20 2022): We are very sorry about the inconvenience of shipping/receiving the wrong side table. We got your first email on April 22, 2020 at 1038am and the resolution was completed on April 24, 2020 at 1225pm with your significant discount, so 48 hours later.
Regarding the product quality, yes this side table is handmade in India. The decision of you paying $50 to keep the item was made because of the expensive shipping cost to ship it/return it, so we decided that it made more sense for us to absorb the cost of this mistake.

Good communication for me

I saw these reviews before ordering some stools for our kitchen. I hesitated at first but we couldn't find anything else we liked so I went ahead with the order. They reached out to confirm the chair height and I discovered I had actually ordered the wrong height. They changed the order and have since refunded the price difference. We received the stools and are quite happy with them.

Lots of options out there, just shop somewhere else....

Ordered 6 Eames replica chairs @ $599 each in September 2019, website indicated 8-12 weeks delivery, took 20 weeks -- FIVE MONTHS.

Not the best people at communication they eventually replied to my three requests for update (always a generic "they're on the way" response).

The chairs DID eventually arrive. They were slightly different than ordered (half leather vs full leather ordered) and after some probing they agreed and offered to refund the price difference (which they calculated incorrectly) but there was no apology, no offer to exchange the chairs for the correct ones and honestly at this point I cannot be bothered pursuing this further...

They have a great inventory, the product received is good quality, but the whole experience is sorta "mehhhh" and I would very likely not order from them again -- there are plenty other options out there.

We received your order on September 28, 2019. Typical lead-time for products not in stock is 9-13 weeks. We were running behind initial schedule to fulfill this order. Our vessel left the port late, which had delayed the fulfillment. The order was finally shipped out on February 3, 2020 with UPS (Tracking: 1Z39WY87DK97895544).
The chairs were finally received on February 10, 2020: "Received my order today, yay! The chairs look great and were worth the wait.
One issue however: although I ordered and paid for standard leather, the chairs delivered are only half-leather with PU on the whole back/underside."
On February 11, 2020, we replied: "We have checked with our factory and indeed, there has been a mistake while preparing your order." We did manufacture half leather (which means that the back/underside is PU leather and the seat is real leather). Consequently, we did process a partial refund for the order on February, 27, 2020 to compensate for our manufacturing mistake.

Worst shopping experience EVER

Purchased a product on OCTOBER 14, 2019. Delivery date was Mid-December. We are on FEBRUARY 12, 2020 and NOTHING. I keep on having to email them to get updates. It takes more than two emails and about a week or more to hear back that there was a 5 week delay. After 5 weeks, no contact. Two more emails, another week waiting and then the news that it is again late for another 5 weeks. UNBELIEVABLE. I'm really worried I will never get my product. Looking at the reviews now, I'm just worried the product will either never arrive or will arrive defective, as has been the case with many other people. Dont ever, EVER purchase anything from them. They say they are Canadian-based company out of Montreal but that is just the office. The products are done in China and come by SHIP, not AIR. Keeping all the emails as documentation. Will seek a lawyer if product does not arrive on the next promised date.

As indicated on the product page, the typical lead-time for products not in stock is 9-13 weeks. We were running behind initial schedule to fulfill this order. Our vessel left the port late, which had delayed the fulfillment. On February 12, 2020, as the product had not been received yet, the order was finally cancelled and we fully refunded this order.
We are a company based in Montreal but all our products are made overseas in India, Nepal, Vietnam, Malaysia and China.
Again, we sincerely apologize for not having been able to fulfill this order within the expected timeframe.

Caution it’s fraud!!!!

Don’t buy anything from them it’s fraud. Ordered office desk in the beginning of July, still no desk no answer on emails or phone.

Terrible service ☹️

I placed two ordered in early August 2019. It’s late Sept and not a peep about when I can expect product. As with the other reviews, you cannot get through on the phone and no one answers emails. However. I’m relieved to hear product does finally arrive. I was beginning to think I’d been conned. Hopefully everything works out as it sounds like a return will be expensive and frustrating.

We received two orders on August 9, 2019, each order for products not being in stock at the time the orders were placed. Typical lead-time for products not in stock is 9-13 weeks. The first order was cancelled and fully refunded on January 10, 2020 (as this one was not shipped yet) and the second order was shipped out on February 5, 2020 with Maritime Ontario (BOL MO20029 ; Tracking F2260867). We are sorry that the second order was shipped out outside the 9-13 weeks expected delivery time.

They never answer any messages

They never answer any messages! I even emailed them from a different email, they answered but when I brought up the fact that my issue was from a diff account ( the one they've been ignoring) they just stopped replying again. This company is a fraud!

We have had a lot of back and forth with you for months with questions/answers related to the setup of your store (most of your questions were answered within hours, some were answered within days by our B2B team).
You placed a first order on June 30th. As July 1st is public holiday in Canada, your order was prepared on July 2nd and was picked up by UPS (1Z39WY876807150899) on July 3rd.

After this first order, you did have more questions related to the integration/process for your store and we replied to you (yes, some emails were answered with some delays as we were at the same time moving all our drop shipper customers from one backend software to a new one).

Terrible customer service as well as…

Terrible customer service as well as quality of products. Products are different from their pictures on the website.
Their delivery is almost 2 months and they used “Canpar” as their Carrier which is the worse in the industry.
Also be careful of their return policy (In 7 days!!! minus back and force shipment cost!! , Sale items are consider Final sale and you could not return them at all and etc).
It will force you to keep the purchased item.

Customer Service is NON existent

I have had issues with this company since October 17th, 2018 and to date they have been unwilling to solve it. Their customer service manners are disrespectful, they lie and they ignore my messages. Their phone number always falls into an answering machine and they do not call back, nor do they answer my emails. Please, do yourselves a favour and do not order anything from this company. I have records that so far amount to 37 pages of information. Take this as a very painful example to what you will encounter if you need anything resolved. The two products I received are defective and to date, March 28th, 2019 NO resolution. Feel free to let others know about this, it has been disappointing, frustrating, tiring and really awful.

This order was placed on October 17, 2018 for a dining table and 2 swivel chairs.

The dining table, being in stock at the time of the order, was shipped on October 23, 2018 (tracking: Day & Ross MTL8714355).

The two swivel chairs, not in stock when the order was placed, were sent to production at our factory right away but we had been extremely late on that batch, running into some unusual long delays. We only shipped them on March 19, 2019 (yes, way behind the initial expected schedule of 9-13 weeks) (tracking: CANPAR D420926810000322728001).

Unfortunately (this is totally our mistake), we did manufacture the two chairs without the swivel mechanism. 

After a long imbroglio with CANPAR for the return of the two chairs (which lasted for 1 month and a lot of back and forth with CANPAR and the customer), the customer was finally fully refunded for those two chairs on April 24, 2019.

Definitely an order where we made a mistake and if we look into our business since GFURN was founded in 2013, it is an exception and not the rule.
