Dreadful. Posted a review about my old company, only for them to remove it for no reason. They are protecting fraudlent businesses, and businesses that operate appallingly.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Useless, as other reviewers mentioned you can't read anything without having to disclose your whole life to them; and even then, they still block most of the reviews.

What has happened to Glassdoor??

What has happened to Glassdoor??? You can't go on there and do anything! You now sign up, but you can't look around because you have to agree to combine with Indeed, which is probably the next worst job board! Then, you have to contribute in some way just to read freaking company reviews!! All I want to do is see if a company is reputable!! It's just amazing to me how companies these days, have no clue on what people want! Idiots that sit behind desks trying to justify their salaries by creating garbage that nobody wants or likes! ****UPDATE*****GLASSDOOR IS NOW OWNED BY RECRUIT HOLDINGS! THEY ARE A JAPANESE COMPANY THAT ALSO OWNS INDEED! THATS WHY HONEST REVIEWS ARE REJECTED AND BAD COMPANIES PROTECTED!! iF YOU LOOK AT THE FIRST REVIEW ON THIS COMPANY HERE, THE GUY'S LAST NAME IS JAPANESE!! TOTALLY CORRUPT COMPANY USING JOB BOARDS AS A WAY TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!! BOYCOTT BOTH

Information trolling parasites

Information trolling parasites. Don't get sucked into believing this is a legit reviewing platform because in actuality it's just a personal information stealing and on-selling scam that should be shut down

Poor service, lousy support+more

Useless site. Suspensions of accounts because they do not understand how VPNs work. WEEKS of back and forth with support (one full day between replies) and no resolution. "Employers cannot find you".

UPDATE: still nothing from support. HUGE increase in SPAM email since joining. Delete profile and will not be back.

I can’t give it zero stars

I can’t give it zero stars, so I guess 1 star will have to do. I had a very negative interview experience with an engaged (I guess that means “kickback”?) employer, including some questions that were unethical. The company acknowledged the same. Even with this, Glassdoor removed the review citing “falsification” on my part. I knew two other people who had this happen.

While the site can be sometimes useful

While the site can be sometimes useful, BEWARE the fact that they are inveterate data thieves. If you get an account, you can not unsubscribe or alter your communication preferences. You get their junk mail whether you like it or not. Totally frustrated, you decide to delete your account. But you've been smart enough not to give them your real phone number. Oh, no. You can't delete your account. To do so you have to enter a code their send your phone to confirm the deletion. They no doubt delete the account and keep all the data, including your validated phone number. A user end filter is the only way of getting rid of these mega-phishers.

I used Glassdoor for years and…

I used Glassdoor for years and genuinely believed in its mission: giving employees a voice.

That changed completely!!!

After posting honest, fact-based reviews about companies I actually worked for, my contributions were removed.
This raises serious concerns about transparency and credibility. If critical reviews are selectively removed, how can users trust the platform at all?

Glassdoor claims to support openness, but my experience suggests the opposite: a system that filters out inconvenient truths while presenting a curated image of companies.

At this point, I no longer consider Glassdoor a reliable source of information for job seekers.

Not only will I no longer use Glassdoor to share my experiences or perspectives on companies I know from the inside, but I also won’t rely on it to evaluate a company’s credibility, because the first to lack credibility is Glassdoor itself.

Trash

Trash, untrustworthy, and useless.
That's what I've done to realize about this platform.

I’ve given it several tries.

I’ve given it several tries.
Blocks information you need unless you post a review, rendering it dysfunctional as an objective tool.
They do sell your info, so it is a data mining vehicle they profit from.
They’ve also introduced AI so if anyone searches you, it will reveal your postings. Weigh whether the risk is worth the reward.
I haven’t gotten enough useable info to maintain an account.

Glassdoor is holding me hostage

Around 3/18/26 or so - just trying to close my account. I have retired.

If I want to delete my account, I should be able to click a "delete account" button. It should take me 2 seconds.

Instead, I am receiving absurd messages such as this one:

"Start of Your Request to Delete Your Personal Data
We have confirmed your request and will begin the exercise of deleting your personal data associated with this email address and/or phone number. You should receive confirmation from each Site once it has completed the exercise."

After I complained about the above message, the response I received was:

"Thank you for your message.

We are currently processing your request. You should receive another email when that is complete. The process can take up to a month, with most requests completed in a week or two."

I would file a complaint with a federal agency, such as the FTC, but they've all been gutted.

This is beyond absurd. No company has the right to hold me hostage, retain my information, send me nonsensical emails, etc.

They defiantly delete any negative reviews.

I've tried to post some negative reviews of big companies, and they were all removed. I wouldn't even bother to post the reviews, but Glassdoor requires contributions to let you read community reviews.

Well, at least now I know they are all filtered and thus fake.

Fully ensxitified at this point

Glassdoor is now Indeed is now requiring you give up all your info, taking you through a bunch of useless trash, and dropping pop-ups like they're hot. All so you can find a bunch of fake job posts and questionable reviews.

I'm not sure Glassdoor or Indeed ever did any good for job seekers, but I am positive that with their powers combined, they are doing less...worse.

This company allow false negative…

This company allows false negative and damaging reviews on their platform and will not remove them. They do not ask for any proof that a reviewer has ever worked for a company and in this case has allowed a competitor to leave a review as an employee.

Useless Site for Venomous Employees.

Let's face it it. Glassdoor is a sensastionalist hate site against employers, for failed and bitter employees to vent their venom and spite. None of the reviews are genuine and no useful or accurate information about an employer can be gleaned from the reviews. And as soon as employers realise that its aligned with Indeed, they will desert Indeed iin droves.

I tried 3 times to contribute with interview description.
Gets rejected every time.

Last time, because the formatting was incorrect. I assume Glassdoor meant a problem with merging all paragraphs, which can be seen when modifying a post in the form. All paragraphs in my comment are merged by the Glasdoor application, after saving it.

Then they send a no-reply message saying “sorry, wrong formatting.” Just brilliant, Business Darwin Award.
