The info for the quote was easy
The info for the quote was easy, I just didn't notice that I had to type my country of residence twice, or in a different section.
I called after I purchased the insurance and the young lady on the line was really nice and helpful.
Thank you I will purchase with you again in the future.

Poor services / unreliable
My sister lodged a claim after loosing or stolen mobile phone at the airport. She was shut off by one of customer service worker, to get more information and paperwork from the airport. She had already obtained the paperwork/lost of property from the airport. How can one go back to the same airport to get more information.
Dissatisfied and truly disappointed by such unscrupulous act, just another way to offset the liability.
Worst travel insurance I ever bought!
This is just a front for selling insurance. If you try making a claim, it is horrendous and a very outdated process. I had to visit a doctor while travelling and my claim was directed to Healthwatch SA who requested by email, for me to fill a huge pile of PDF forms (some even in Greek?). Even though most forms were not relevant, my claim was not going to be processed without all the forms being filed. The process is very bureaucratic and outdated, and most probably designed to make you give up on claiming, which in my case, worked. Stay away.

About as bad as it can be!
Well, “Globelink” answered the phone quickly and were very responsive. Unfortunately, Globelink is only the front end, which only exists to sell policies. The web site will tell you that since 2020, all claims handling has been outsourced to Collinson Group. However, that's not true. It changed again 6 months ago to Healthlink, but they haven´t updated their web site. Contacting Collinson is just another delay in the process of making a claim. Now, if Globelink deign to answer this review, they're going to make some vacuos comment "like send us your details and we'll investigate." So, to review the claims process, check web site, contact Collinson and provide all details, then contact Healthline and provide all details, then write a review on Trustpilot and wait for a new email from Globelink that you can send all details to again. I don't know what happens next - maybe I'm still sleeping on an airport couch somewhere waiting for my insurance company to get me home!

Good website but over 66 loading excessive
Easy to navigate website, no legalistic jargon easy to understand what is and is not covered. On the negative side the over 66 extra costs does not take into account that there are many senior citizens with high levels of fitness and in very good health.

Cheap for a reason
The third party claims team sucks. The policy sucks. They won't cover cancelled flights or the new purchased flights. Their forms take forever to fill out and they ask for so much information (more than any other insurance company has). They take forever to get back to you and overall just been a waste of money. Cheap for a reason. Won't make that mistake again

Rejected the claim without any reasonable explanation
My wife got Covid during our trip, we called the Globelink assistance, they asked us to make an official test in a hospital, we took a taxi, made the test and etc. But when we made a claim after returning home, the claim was rejected by Collinson Group. We even did not get back money for the taxi. I asked the manager: "Do you really understand the stupidity of the situation? Why you asked us to go and take the test, and now we even cannot get back the money for the taxi? We could just do nothing and save more money." So, it is a very smart scheme - if everything is Ok, you write a good review here, if not - you write a bad review to some other companies handling the claims.

Avoid like the plague
As others state, fine until you make a claim and then they don’t want to know.
Had to wait 30 minutes on the phone to speak with someone who was beyond hopeless.
I paid a fortune for my insurance as didn’t want to take any risks but of course the wriggle out of any claim. Fortunately it was a small claim I was making but I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

Started Confident and is Currently Stressful
I was admitted to an emergency in the USA in December 2022. Before I was admitted I called the insurance company to ensure I was covered, the woman I spoke with was very reassuring. At the hosptial I spoke with her again, gave the number for the insurance department there as requested to continue the discussions about my case. The following day I had an unexpected allergic reaction to the medication the hospital provided so I had to be admitted again I also called the insurance company prior to being admitted. There was even a follow up mail from her. Everything seemed to be ok.
Fast forward it's now mid-April 2023, I shared all the hospital reports and medical bills months ago. I have sent multiple emails which go unanswered. The last one I received was from a month ago saying they have finally received the documents, it was now with a case officer, and that someone would be in touch later. I am now being chased in the USA for hospital payments and this situation is beyond stressful. I have no idea what to do here now except take this to the ombudsman.

I have used Globelink for travel…
I have used Globelink for travel insurance for several years, but I have never claimed so I can't comment on that.
The wording relating to pre-existing medical conditions is as clear as mud. If you have conditions A and B, and both are on the "No-screen" list, but for condition A you have seen a specialist in the last 12 months, then according to one interpretation of the wording, they will refuse to honor your claim for medical expenses relating to condition B. If true, this would be a dishonest business practice, but I don't know if that's what they actually mean.

The cheapest travel insurance for my trip
It was significantly cheaper than other travel insurance companies for my two month trip to Canada. There is an option for bare minimum cover, and my high cholesterol is included as standard. Its still a lot to pay though.
