NITRO PDF PRO is a pdf software that will leave you helpless when you need it the most. Paid 179 USD for this, 165 days remaining yet I can't get this shi* show working. Open it and it always says login, login and it shows an empty popup that says continue in demo mode or quit. If it somehow works, it takes ages for simple functions such as find and replace. Free online pdf tools work a thousand times better than this one. I will never recommend this pathetic piece of software to anybody looking for PDF softwares.

PS: all their reviews on other websites are either paid for or affiliate blogs so do not fall for that.

GARBAGE! WARNING FOR FREE TRIAL DO NOT TRY! they make it real easy to take your credit card enough but if you want to cancel it’s a nightmare of stale pages, stale links, endless loops and run arounds.

Stop sending mail

I purchased Nitro Pro 12 some years ago. It is mine forever, or at least until operating systems change to make an upgrade essential. Now I am informed my "trial" period is over and I must pay for an upgrade to version 14. Version 12 no longer allows me to create new PDFs. This is software I paid for and expect it to continue working. There is no way to contact Nitro Pro to complain about this and using the community support has gotten me nowhere. My serial number for version 12 has disappeared from the "About" button so I cannot raise a complaint directly.

I did not see anything on the ordering page that said it would not work with Windows 7. I subsequently wrote you asking if I could get my money back, and naturally, have heard nothing. This product is of no use to me. Please contact me telling me a refund is possible. Otherwise, I will have nothing but bad to say.

Getting used to took time but much better useabiity now. The Following Issues I face
1. The Menu items, particularly in the print menus and others are very small and ilegible, maybe, due to my display settings, but the problem I am facing only in Nitro
2. The Menus may be provided with Colour themes for better visuals.
3. Where is UNDO button, Ctrl+ Z is also not working

The customer service is absolutely terrible. I paid for the lifetime package to avoid having to go to the subscription based model for obvious reasons - after using it for a few years they deactivated my account and sent me an email stating that they will give me a discount on the subscription based model which I refused. In conversation with them the feedback has been slow and I was constantly passed onto another person to help (which ended in no help at all). They keep closing the ticket as though it is resolved when it clearly has not been.

Until nitro changes software program as to not flatten edited documents by other software programs.. this is absolutely not a good program especially for businesses like our own!!

Cash grab to force people into a subscription model. I had a "lifetime" [sic] license from this company and was informed that lifetime just isn't what it used to be. Don't worry, the deactivation is actually for our own good because..."This change was a difficult decision, but became necessary to ensure our latest Nitro PDF and eSign solutions are delivering the best experience and value." Sure. That's the reason. Right.

This is a GREAT product at a reasonable price!

I bought Nitro Pro and regularly upgraded the program over the years. A few days ago the company did something to disable all installed perpetual licences, forcing customers onto their subscription model. I have never heard of a software company doing anything so completely outrageous. If it is not unlawful behaviour, it is certainly grubby and disreputable. I wouldn’t touch this company with a barge pole and nothing would induce me to spend another cent on any of their products.

On edit: the patronising excuse trotted out by the company below is vacuous. I have an old washing machine that the manufacturer no longer supports. Does Nitro think the manufacturer is entitled to break into my home and steal it to force me to buy a new one? This is the exact equivalent of what Nitro Software has done: deliberately and without my consent crippling software on my computer because they rather like the idea of forcing customers to move to their subscription model. I have never heard of a software company pulling such a thoroughly shameful scam. It is quite unbelievable.

A Nitro PDF customer for over 15 years. Because I liked it, I bought it for myself and continued to upgrade over the years. The license was a perpetual license. This was stated by their sales rep as well as part of their terms of service. To increase subscription sales, the company decided to revoke ALL lifetime licenses. Not a company you can trust. If you are a small business with 100 employees, this could break you.

DO NOT BUY ANY NITRO PDF products. The company is a bunch of crooks.

I am shocked that my software no longer works and it is labeled at a "TRIAL VERSION". This is shocking.

I purchased a one time charge license for Nitro Pro in 2015. Later upgraded to Nitro Pro 12 in 2021. I paid $149 for this software perpetual license.

I tried for a week to reach a solution but you can't reach a single human being and they are playing ping pong with me between them and their German equally shady company CleverBridge.

This should be illegal and they should get a collective lawsuit by all customers like me.

This is a disgusting, dishonest, no-support company who stole money from their clients by deactivating paid product licenses.

I don't know where to go and what to do. I paid a lot for this software and what happened is not fair.

Final verdict: DO NOT BUY ANY NITRO PDF products. They are a bunch of crooks.

The product itself is actually pretty good. Their support however is atrocious! They have this facetious log a ticket link on their web page, not one of the options allow you to log a ticket. So here I am stuck unable to activate the product I've paid for and no way to contact them.

I have held a perpetual licence for Nitro Pro for some years. They have recently deliberately disabled my valid and legally purchased perpetual licence (purchased directly from them). Their justification for this action being that the 'activation system is no longer being supported'. They refuse to offer any viable solution for perpetual licence holders, only offering a discount on a new recurring subscription. This is clearly a blatant attempt to force perpetual licence holders over to subscriptions. Think carefully about if you are happy to spend money with a company that appears quite happy to treat its long-term users in such an underhand way.

Good app, for me one of the best pdf software.

Just 2 more things to improve customer experience.

- Rapidity, opening is tooooo long.
- Night mode.

Product doesn't run, can't find mfc140u.dll. Can't find a convenient way to get any individual support. No phone numbers on their website

Total scam company with no customer support, they take your money and then the first excuse they get to make sure your software doesn't work and they will never help you get it going again, don't waste your money on these thieves.
