One of the worst companies if you are looking for a divorce firm. They send threatening letters and emails to the clients and are not worth at all. Firm which acts very unprofessionally and makes money at the drop of a hat. If you are slightly late with your payment they are after you and forget that you are their client. I went through a very painful divorce and used this firm. They were extremely selfish and did nothing but used every opportunity to add to their bill which was outrageous. There are kinder and much more professional and understanding divorce firms out there so please follow my advice and do not use this company. They make fool out of innocent people who are already going through a major turmoil in their lives by going through divorce. They are ruthless unkind and Greedy people who are looking for nothing but to make money out of your divorce. Please Avoid using this firm 🙏
Below is a very standard response from the Goodwins but in essence they did not treat me amicably and professionally after I made payment to them. I changed the solicitors during my divorce due to the way they treated me. Every client deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and Goodwins are without these values. Their objective is to just make money and prolong your divorce case to the maximum. I am so glad I changed them as it costed me a lot less and the other company was very reasonable in pricing and certainly knew how to treat a human being!

They are overpriced and only care about money. For example, I was charged £26 for a 6-second phone call and when I questioned the owner about it, his response was he didn't know whether it was 6 seconds or 6 minutes. If he does not know, then how am I supposed to know? The phone call was just to tell me to come to the office to sign divorce papers as I missed a page. Estella my solicitor was good but I think the pricing was ridiculous. I would pay a bill and I would get another shortly after. I was so wrapped up in my situation that I kept paying the bills. I was suffering from clinical depression so I felt I was being taken advantage of. When I finally came out of my depression, I left the firm and hired a new solicitor.

First time I needed a family solicitor, after a separation (1 child). After some research I chose Goodwins Family Law Solicitors as they looked quite specialized in international cases (my ex and son in Uk and me out of Uk) and happy to work via skype.
After just few months I was very disappointed and I had to look for another family Solicitor and write an official compliant to Goodwins Family Law Solicitors.
I noticed imprecisions, mistakes (that lead me to have an even more difficult communication with my ex), low interest in the case, I felt to be treated not like a human in a very difficult moment but as a "wallet"; no support, I felt completely alone (even if knowing to have someone that should have helped me) and of course nothing has been obtained but I've been a "spectator" of all my ex wanted to do with my son with no action taken at all.
I don't know if what happened is because I'm not a Uk resident or what else but I didn't know that I would have had to discuss on one side with my ex and on the other side with my solicitor.
At last, after the compliant (directed to the Goodwins president - owner -) I got more or less the same treatment: no mistakes noticed , me treated with a cold and aseptic communication.

No, I don't suggest them if you are passing a bad moment in your life after a separation and even more if living in another country.
