Our Son recieved a £30 Google play voucher as a present & our daughter accidentally redeemed it on my account Google play wouldn't let me transfer it to his account it has been sat in my account for years as I don't purchase anything so I have just tried paying for a subscription with the £30 & this doesn't work either so I contacted play store who informed me that the £30 can only be used for purchases & not subscriptions how convenient!!!! 🤔

I also tried to add another £10 voucher to our son's account which didn't work & tried it on my account which also didn't work so that's £40 flushed down the 🚽🧻
& before I'm asked the £10 voucher was new so I'm pretty 😡

They tried to scam me.
Google playstore tried to scam me by saying I don't have purchase verification on. I do have it on. Google playstore removed my purchase verification password and then they tried to scam me into using biometrics instead. I put it back to password.

This has to be illegal from this playstore. I hope the government sues this company and wins because I'm sick of Google playstore tying to scam me as this is not the first time this has happened.

Be careful with Google Play. They take your money but don’t deliver. Pure scam.

And of course, no response to the messages sent!

I’m extremely disappointed in how Google Play has handled my case. Despite Scopely already issuing a refund, Google refuses to refund the remaining portion. I’ve taken full accountability, apologized, removed the game, and can no longer even access what I paid for. My situation is now a financial crisis—my family is homeless, and this money could help us survive.

It's demoralizing to be ignored like this. I’ve followed every step, explained everything honestly, and yet Google continues to turn their back on a loyal customer in desperate need. This is more than just a policy issue—this is about human decency. I urge Google to show compassion and resolve this matter immediately.

Today, three hours ago, I purchased 'Yoga for beginners' app (a year subscription). A few minutes ago I cancelled it and got a cancellation email saying that my subscription will be cancelled today next year and 'no refund will be issued'!!!
Why???!!!
Moreover, they say that I'll get a free 7 days trial, which I didn't.

Once you put your money in the hands of these thieves your money are gone.

Google play is rubbish. Google company should be ashamed by Google map as well. Even 1 start is a lot. If I could give 0 start then I would do that

I would like to know why you are supporting SCAM Games. Over 95% of Games refuse to pay out the winnings and you are not doing anything about it. I am owed £8,500 and have the evidence to support my claim.

I tried to download a phone call recorder app from playstore that ended up with the owners of the app trying to take 3 different payments out of my bank. I had to cancel my bank cards to make sure they couldn't take more money. But today they tried to take money out of my ex wife's account so the only way they could have done this is to break in to my computer most likely through my Gmail address.
So now they most likely have all of my personal information from my computer.
I reported this app to Google 3 days ago and they have not replied, I tried again to contact Google today all to find that I now can't contact them for 2 weeks because Google say I must sort the problem out with the app developer, as if the developer is going to stop trying to take my and my families money.
Google have been winding me up for a number of years as they drop in on conversations, they follow people, you can't go to the toilet without them knowing, and yet people on playstore can drain your bank account without Google knowing and we can't even contact a person at Google to report fraud on their platforms.

Shockingly bad customer support. I miss the days when customer support didnt string you along with fake pleasantries.

I spoke with customer support regarding some refunds for in app purchases. The woman i spoke with couldnt/wouldnt answer specific questions i had regarding their policies. When i got specific, she got more repetitive, vague and patronising (using my name after each sentence, pretending to be my friend or something) but just saying no refunds over and over again.

I would say AVOID but we kinda cant if we want to get inside the monopolistic play house they have built.

Anyway...AVOID!!!

Contacted customer support regarding the Quest system which requires purchase of £49.99. Despite having met this goal, credit was not applied. Customer support says you must make a singular purchase for this amount, yet there are no apps, games, or books available to purchase for this amount. When I asked for clarification since there is nothing to purchase at this price, they said I was correct. It is a scam. Do not participate as you will get nothing in return.

Full of suspicious, fake, broken and useless apps with misleading, fake and suspicious ads, often violating intellectual property rights.

Quality and standards have been on a deep dive.

This service as it is, should be let go.

Why can't a review show no stars? Google Play - impossible to communicate. No online communication channel functions. It is not possible to manage subscriptions, cancel, make a complaint, correct an unauthorised subscription charge etc.
I did not sign up for Google One on Google Play Balance annual membership either in a trial or renew basis. However, significant and unauthorised subscriptions have been taken from my credit card account. I require all subscriptions taken to date to be refunded and my details cancelled.

One of the most useless 😪 services ever. Please kindly refrain from using their services. They completely ripped off their customer. I would never recommend even my worst enemy to use this service. They are absolutely horrible 😢 PLEASE PLEASE 🙏 AVOID USING GOOGLE PLAY FOR PAYMENT.

2 years ago I bought a subscription to Wave Boating Navigation. The phone went overboard and the app hasnt been used since. Wave say they cant refund me, I need to contact google, who have closed my google account and therefor preventing me from doing so. The NAB bank tell me they cant stop these payments either. I call google and they are always closed. Google is a shonky platform that are just as bad as Wave. Quick to take your money whether providing you with anything or not, and making it so frustrating trying to stop it or get a refund. Steer clear of paid subscriptions via google play because they will stuff you around and do everything in their power to hold on to money theyve taken from you. Absolute scoundrels.

Spent hundreds of euros with Google play on golf rival, was signed in via Facebook, but Facebook then decided not to except my password. Yet neither golf rival or Google play would help. They were evil, to the point of not caring flippancy ! Avoid as these companies are only motivated by pure greed, with no heart.
