Google Needs To Wake Up

Google play has become riddled with so many scam apps it's ridiculous. The scam apps claiming payouts is bad enough already now these app are aiming their target audience at kids and currency for in app stuff. This is just wrong they need to screen there apps before they are published and help their customers out. But I'm sure there not going to do this because they probably get a share of all the income these fake money apps make. No matter how many compliments posted and sent to Google nothing is being done about all these apps. Alot which are collecting personal information and nothing is being done about it. Google, Unity, and Integral are all big companies for making and posting apps and none care about the consumers who are lining there pockets. The apps get taken off when toi many reviews are posted in various platforms and just pop up again with a new name same app but new name trying to string more and more money with all the forced ads. Adults have become much wiser and there's not enough profits coming in for these crooks so now they are aiming these same B's apps at kids claiming thousands of in game currency for games like Minecraft,Fortnite and Roblox. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH Google screen ur apps and stop the chaos.

Don't buy off Google play

Wouldn't even purchase anything off Google play again they let developers of apps get away with stealing your accounts that have been paid for and even let the app developer break googles terms of service. When confronted with pictures of the fore mentioned Google said no breach was made obviously if their terms of service is in black and white then their terms have been broken. The don't help the consumer also the consumer act of 2015 doesn't apply to them cause they have billions to spend on lawyers so they make their rules up as they go

My son who has learning issues over a few months racked up £300 odd pounds. The game in question the pirate kings is basicaly not layable unless you make purchases constantly and is deseigned for this very purpose. when tried to get a refund was met with pathetic excuses after excuses.

Unethical & Ruins Google's Brand

For many years I played WordChums. It is not longer available in a browser, so I tried a few emulators. So far all are a disgrace.

1) I'm giving a game the width of mobile but play on a laptop, so it takes up a fraction of the width, making it very uncomfortable to play

2) I play ONE word and I'm kicked out and shown an AD/VIDEO by google. I close it all down instantly and re-open. I play 2-3 words more and again I'm kicked out and shown ads.

It's one thing to have ads on a page. It's quite another to kick me out of my game and auto-play videos that stop me playing my game.

This is entirely invasive.

3) I've plenty of space of this drive, yet was told to delete files? I need little memory to store results of a few word games. I will not be adding more games - just the one. Others I will only play on a browser.

It is so hard to build trust and far too easy to ruin. My trust of google has diminished significantly with this experience, making me more likely to choose any other provider for all my needs.

This is absolutely the worst and…

This is absolutely the worst and slowest support system I've ever dealt with. So, I am on a couple of GPT sites where you do tasks, play games, or do surveys to earn points that you can exchange for gift cards. I usually get the visa gift cards, but this time I decided to get a Google play gift card. As soon as I redeemed the code to my account and tried to make a purchase my account locked and I got an email from Google play asking for pictures and documents stating where I got the gift card and how I got it basically they want my whole life story for a $5 gift card and are acting like it's a $5,000 gift card. Anyway I sent everything plus extra that they asked for and wanted and even explained how I earned the gift card, and it's literally been 2 days now and I can't get anyone to respond to my emails and when I go to the support chat all they do is put me on hold for 30 minutes then come tell me they escalated my case and I will receive an email from the proper people. Google play is a complete joke and it's looking like a complete scam as well. If you are going to lock every account that uses apps from their app store to earn gift cards to spend money at their store and just keeping the gift cards and locking people's accounts, that's theft, fraud, false advertising and many other charges that can be brought up. Be careful using them, use apple if you can. I will be taking every measure I can to legally get these frauds to do their customers right and quit stealing from them

GOOGLE PLAY IS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

GOOGLE PLAY IS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
I recently moved to Austria, i opened a bank account, did all the paperwork for me to be able live here.. i even changed my address and location of my Google Play store and everything, since i bought a new SIM card.. After all this, i bought a 100€ Gift Card, and when i tried to redeem it, it said i need to be in Austria since i bought it in Austria... 👀? Tried a few more times, then i contacted them via help Chat and Email. In the help chat, Agent Rai said it will be fixed in "3 business days", this was on April 12., after a week, i get an email saying they need all the information that has been already given to them... And after a few days, i get an email saying that "We can't fix this..." ... 👀!? Hello? I guess, it is what it is...

Not trustworthy or even helpful!

@GooglePlay took money from my account without any onscreen notification that I was actually making a purchase. Only found out when I got a receipt. Customer service is basically a webpage & a claim form, which states your account could be temporarily or permantly stopped if you start a claim. I no longer feel comfortable staying with Google as I no longer trust them. I don't need any more stealth withdrawals from this company.
Feel very uncomfortable about this. They can keep the money if they need it so badly. Will source all my games elsewhere in future.

Google Play is a scam...I'm from Canada and made the mistake of…

I'm from Canada and made the mistake of purchasing a $50 USD gift card at a service station whil on a road trip. When trying to redeem the card, 100s of miles away, Google wouldn't redeem it because I purchased the card in US and my account country code shows Canada. They told me they will not reimburse me the money and I could try returning it in the store. The store won't reimburse me saying Google has the money. In short, Google is scamming me out of $50 USD and won't speak with me directly. Worst customer service ever. They are actual criminals. I advisr never to use Google Play to make any purchases. SCAMMERS and don't care about customers. They will not give a phone number and claim it's in the fine print if their miles long trems of service. No where on the card does it tell you it's for US customers only and now check when purchasing it. They know exactly what they are doing to steal your money.

Thieves

My 7 year old daughter managed to make a purchase for a game not on my phone whilst watching Youtube videos through Google play. As per their own Terms and conditions, I reached out to get a refund, to be told tough, shouldn't have let my daughter use my phone. £88.99 down the tubes, with no recovery, despite having a £10 purchase limit already set up.

Thieves... I saw a charge for Amazon prime on my card so I contacted Amazon and as told the purchase was made through Google.. I got a 30 days trial and was later charged because the subscription was not canceled do I reached out Google play for a refund and was denied.. I explained that I don't use prime and it was not purchased directly by me but they would not refund my money even though I reached out in less than 24 hours of the charge... I will be disputing the transaction

My husband bought a fitbit device for…

My husband bought a fitbit device for my birthday in Dec 2022 which presumably came a subscription to google play. 6 months into the purchase the device stopped working. After lengthy correspondence with Fitbit they replaced it with a refurbished model which also did not work and since then I no longer use it. Late in Jan 2024 I saw £79.99 to Googleplay was taken from my bank account. I first approached Fit bit who eventually decided I should contact Google play as they took the money. Google play said they have reviewed my case and it has failed their refund policy even I have never used their and not even sure what it does. Shocking - a charge for something I have never used - its seem I did not cancel on time albeit by a month. How do I cancel something I did not know even if I had. D GPA.3385-9534-0795-23226..0.

I did not purchase nor do I have a google play account but someone purchased a game on an account that was not mind a scammer an google customer service passed me around but never helped me get a refund from google eve told them turn the game off. They do this so people stop trying to get their money back for fraudulent chargers. Google gets to keep a profit and the people like me just get nothing but hours of trying to get a refund. I contacted them with in 4 hours of the charges that happen in the middle of the night. Not like I check my email all night to see a charge was made. Now I filled out more forms but nothing. I did purchase a silly game too old to even understand it. I just want my money back from them

Allows scam apps on their platform and then send generic copy and paste emails when you ask for help. They tell you they understand, and that you're a valued customer.

They are making millions. They don't give a damn about you.
