I had a great experience with my recent consultation through eMed with NHS GP at Hand. The process was smooth, and I appreciated how easy it was to book an appointment online. My GP was attentive, professional, and took the time to understand my concerns thoroughly. The consultation felt personal, and I came away with a clear treatment plan and follow-up steps. This service makes accessing quality healthcare so much easier and more convenient. Highly recommended!

I spoke with Robert Nelson. He was really helpful and had thoughtful responses. Went out his way to help and provide reassurance and support for me in a tough time.

Used to be good, now bad

It took a week to get an appointment, I had 2 things to discuss, but was told I was out of time so had to make another appointment (have to wait another week for that!)

The places for tests are only central (not the local hospital literally 10 mins walking distance away), so I have to travel for 1.5 hours to get a test, so in total 4 hours of my day

I was referend to a hospital, again it's 1.5 hours journey time, no space for parking, so a total of 5 hours just for a check up

Too long waiting time

I had to wait for this appointment for 3 weeks. The GP was then half an hour late. This is not what an online health service should be like and definitely not what this company was like several years ago. I’m considering going back to a standard GP practice as this online company doesn’t give you the advantages it used to provide.

Do not recommend

Same experience as other recent reviews. Unlike before, you now have to wait like 3 weeks to be able to even speak to a GP on the phone and it's impossible to get a face to face appointment. Also the wait to speak on the chat with them today was an hour long and over an hour on hold on the phone. I have to get blood tests every year and unlike before, if you're in London, they now only give you 4 location options that are mostly near central so I for example have to travel over an hour to get a simple routine blood test. Will not be using them anymore and do not recommend to anyone.

Had to rearrange my original appointment time, did this in the app without any problems. Phone call was on time for when I had chosen it and Doctor was friendly and informative. Very good service.

Use to be good but were bought out by eMed and now it’s awful. Can’t get any appointments or speak to a human. Been referred to my GP by the hospital and letters have been sent to the GP but I can’t get hold of them for an appointment. On the app it’s months away

Appointment times are getting worse and worse every year.

When I joined back in 2019 the service was excellent:
- less than 48hrs for GP and pharmacists online appointments, now up to 3 weeks for GP and a week for pharmacist appointments
- less than a week for face to face appointments now up to 3 weeks
- telephone assistance were awesome as I could get faster appointments by phone for more serious/ urgent matters, now very difficult to call and get urgent appointments.

Very disappointing and waste of time…

Very disappointing and waste of time software. Had my tests booked in and got cancelled hours before appointment just because my files would not be shared by gp on their system even though i got confirmation links and invitations to come to my appointment. On the arrival i was told that my appointment will not be processed and I was given a number to call and reregister even though I was at the clinic. Beyond words.
