At Grade Potential, we believe the most impactful learning doesn’t need to happen through a screen. It happens face-to-face. It’s not just our preference, it’s the foundation of how we work with students and families every day. We focus on in-person tutoring because we’ve seen what happens when students build real relationships with the people helping them. We match each learner with a local, vetted educator who meets with them at home or at a location that works for the family. It’s familiar, consistent, and built for sustainable progress. We know every family’s needs are different. That’s why we offer virtual sessions when needed, especially for students in rural areas, with inconsistent home time, or who simply prefer learning online. But our model is intentionally built around real-life connection and in-person support because those elements tend to lead to stronger outcomes over time. Whether the subject is elementary reading or graduate-level writing, we help families find the right tutor for their needs, their pace, and their goals. And from first outreach to final session, we handle the logistics, the communication, and the follow-through, so the focus stays where it should: on consistent, high-quality learning.

My tutor George

My tutor George, sat through a meeting with me, to see what was going on and created a plan that help me get what I needed to get to the instructor, and everything went smoothly and I feel like what I was struggling with is becoming clear.

Review for 7th grade pre-algebra

My 7th grader is hugely benefiting from the in-home tutoring service provided by Grade Potential tutoring. The tutor is very prompt, works with our convenient timings. The tutor is able to explain it to the child patiently till she gets it. Pauses when the child does not understand to explain differently. We are very pleased with their service and will highly recommend for others. Thank you!

I am very satisfied with my experience!

I am very satisfied with my experience. The staff and the tutor, all the way around. The tutor had me relaxed, was an excellent communicator, and extremely patient and considerate, aside from imparting his knowledge, and getting me up to speed for my test. Thank you Marco!

We were looking to raise our daughter’s LSAT…

We were looking to raise our daughter’s score for the LSAT. So we took the chance and called Grade Potential. Unfortunately there were not any tutor in our area (we are in a very rural area in Michigan) so we decided to try the video tutoring with an experienced tutor. I have to say it was not only the best choice, it was an amazing experience working with her tutor. He was very kind and his ability to break the information down for my daughter was unbelievable. She grew more confident with every session. His name is Robert Ferguson. We highly recommend him. He was so calm and patient with our daughter. He was always great with working with her if her schedule changed. I believe we did 15 sessions, it was worth EVERY penny! She raised her score by an unbelievable 11 points and if you know the LSAT that is incredible. Thank you Grade Potential our girl is off to Law School with the confidence I knew she had but, couldn’t find. Please if your child or yourself are think about trying this program. Take the leap it is so worth it!!! Thank you again!

The most helpful tutoring company I’ve encountered! They won’t stop until they know that you’re properly taken care of and on your way to success. I’ve gotten about 3 tutors through Grade Potential and they have all been top notch and truly helped me understand topics I was struggling with. Highly recommend!

Grade Potential is has been great

Grade Potential is has been great! They are very punctual with communication and getting you a tutor as soon as possible. They are flexible and find tutors that can work around your schedule and the tutor can come to your house which makes it easy for myself. They follow up with you to check to see if you like the tutor or not and if you would like to switch to someone else. I appreciate the professionalism, the communication, and the flexibility that they offer. My son tutor Autumn is great! She’s so sweet and communicative. She’s motivating, keeps a positive attitude, and pushes my son to do so great with his work. She makes him feel comfortable and makes him want to do better. Tutor has helped my son a lot so far. Will definitely continue the process and recommend to many others.
