9CT gold turned into rust in three weeks

I purchased a pair of 9ct gold earrings (Order #GR200059236) which were delivered on 23 March. Within 2–3 weeks, the earrings had significantly tarnished and appeared fully rusted.

This is completely unacceptable for jewellery marketed as 9 carat gold. I have multiple piercings and have worn 9ct gold jewellery for years without ever experiencing tarnishing, discolouration, or skin reactions. In this case, the earrings not only degraded rapidly but also caused irritation and infection.

The earring backs have fully rusted, which raises serious concerns about whether all components are actually 9ct gold as advertised.

I contacted the company and instead of addressing the fault, I received a generic response explaining what 9ct gold is and suggesting external factors like skin chemistry. Responsibility was not taken, and my request for a refund or replacement was denied.

For $150, this level of quality is unacceptable. Based on my experience, these earrings did not perform like genuine 9ct gold jewellery and failed within weeks.

I would strongly recommend others to be cautious and consider alternative options before purchasing.
