MONEY STOLEN FROM MY ROOM! Do not stay here.

Do not stay here.

We returned to our room after an afternoon out and after being in the room for only a few minutes the door opened and a man started to walk in but when he noticed someone was in there he quickly closed the door and by the time I opened it again he was gone.

Just after this, I noticed that my wallet, that had been left on the side table was missing. I tore the room apart looking for it but it was gone.
I told the old lady at reception but she didn’t seem to care at all.
The next morning I found the wallet, empty and stuffed inside my partners suitcase and I went and asked reception if she had any news and she hadn’t told anyone and asked me to write down what happened so she could tell the manager.
That evening, I asked another receptionist and he knew nothing about it so he took my details and told me to speak to the manager in the morning.
This morning I spoke to the manager who said the man was a tradesman who denied taking anything (as a thief would) and there is nothing he can do. I said that the hotel is responsible for letting someone into my room who stole from me and he could care less. I also asked him to call the police but he refused saying I can go to the police station if I want.
What a horrible experience and an even worse and useless manager.

Don’t stay here if you value your possessions.
