Great service

Great service. Arrived to service boiler on time. They replaced our old boiler. Lovely chap did the job and cleaned up after himself. Not many contractors do that. Would recommend this company 100 percent.

Would highly recommend greener homes, both the salesman and the engineers were lovely, we had a Worcester 8000 installed and are pleased with the installation and how tidy the engineers left our property, The boiler was explained well before they left

Made a difficult job seem simple

Very professional. Highly recommened

Matt who surveyed was very thorough and offered various options with different boilers. We chose the Viessmann. The installers arrived on time and put down dust sheets before starting work. Very pleased with all round installation and prompt response to my copious questions.

Very poor boiler service, left house flooded.

I am one very dissatisfied Greener Homes customer. After our yearly service the engineer failed to re-connect the condensate discharge pipe causing our home to flood, damaging fixtures & fittings. We had to turn the heating off over Christmas and new year to avoid further flooding and their 'help' line was useless. We were repeatedly told there would an engineer attending because of the risk of electrical fire but nobody came.

Running hot and cold

This is a review in two parts. Back in November 2022 Greener Homes fitted a new Worcester Bosch boiler and Bosch Thermostat for me to a very high standard. They did the job promptly and efficiently and made repeated visits to fix a problem with the wifi connectivity to the thermostat, a problem which we eventually traced to our Virgin Media router and one which had nothing to do with the installers. They also identified a condensate run off channel which no previous plumber had suggested and which was a brilliant solution. 5 stars plus so far!

However, they also found a pre-existing problem with 15mm pipework running to two rads instead of 22mm, meaning that these rads were being starved of water. A very helpful plumber came and explored the issue and I was quoted £600 for pipework replacement, which I accepted. Two different plumbers, new to me entirely, turned up last week to do the job. In fairness to them, the work involved taking up asection floorboards in our main bedroom and our bed and other furniture was still in the room. The two plumbers took one look and couldn't get off the job fast enough. 'Nightmare'. 'This room should have been cleared'. 'Why didn't the previous plumber do the job?' They were not interested in the fact that I had actually cleared out the area they were most likely to be working in, nor that the previous plumber and I had shuffled furniture to give him room to work when he was investigating the issue. With goodwill on their part, the three of us could easily have resolved the problems they were facing. Instead, they made one phone call and left within 5 mins of arrival.

To cap it all, the younger plumber was actually quite rude, to the extent that I called him out on it. 'You know nothing about engineering, mate', was one of his replies. His older companion had better lines. 'This is Health and Safety. We can't work here. It's a confined space.' Comedy gold. This is a domestic bedroom we are talking about, not a coal mine. And it was a £600 quotation, not a one-hour pipe connection job, so some element of tackling unexpected problems was built in to the price.

Hence the one star. I emailed the owner of the company immediately afterwards, a very reasonable man when I've met and spoken to him in the past, inviting him to ring me to discuss what happened, but he has not contacted me since. I've spent £3000 with this company but clearly my custom has little value. The service contract for the boiler will be going elsewhere.

You can make of all this what you will. I've been delighted, disappointed and angered, all by one plumbing company.

Boiler replacement

Very impressed with Greener Homes. Came out to quote for new boiler on a Wednesday and the boiler was installed and running by the following Monday afternoon. Courteous and polite fitters. Excellent job.

Very impressed with Greener Homes - a great team

Very impressed with Greener Homes. They did a great job in replacing a complicated gas boiler installation in our top floor flat in Bristol. The team were always on time, professional and courteous. When faced with an unexpected gas pressure issue that could have become a complete roadblock, they took things in their stride and solved this with some gas pipe upgrades that had not been planned and that they did not charge for. They were always committed to finishing the job to the highest standards. Very grateful to these guys and would not hesitate to recommend their services.

New Gas Boiler Installation.

Brandon and Marley arrived on time and were polite, quick, neat and tidy.
The new boiler was installed, set up and I was given a tutorial on the functions of the boiler. The paperwork was completed and certificates issued. Excellent.

I can’t thank them enough the service…

I can’t thank them enough the service of first time installation of central heating was fantastic from start to finish the guys Steven and Paul were so professional they left no mess and even stayed late to finish the job Absolutely fantastic would recommend to anyone . I want to add I had my central heating fitted within two weeks of the first phone call.
