Everything you cook it sticks
I have purchased a Copenhagen wok and everything you cook it sticks. I have never used a wok that bad.
Positive experience
I’ve read a lot of these negative reviews and to be honest, I fail to understand them.
I got a set as a gift, almost three years ago. Having experience in the past with Teflon, I was prepared to use these with kid gloves. Well, I don’t mistreat them but the gloves came off long ago. I love these pans. They require little if any oil, they clean better then any type of pan I have ever owned ( was in the restaurant bus for 35 years). I am sold on these and if I can help it, I won’t buy anything else in the future. Anyone who has used Teflon, knows how ridiculously fragile the coating is. Get a scratch, then throw it away, because that garbage will flak into your food, 3 years so far and the coating is solid.
Getting a pan too hot is not covered under warranty?
I received a Green Pan pan as a gift. Within one year, the non-stick coating was coming off. I always followed care instructions - hand washed, stacked with bubblewrap between and successive pans. Over the course of 6 months of correspondence with customer service, it was ruled that the coating peeling off was not covered by the 2 year warranty because they judged from photos that the pan had gotten too hot.
This was incredibly disappointed that this was not covered because, after all, it is a pan that is used to cook food and thus must get hot. Equally disappointing was the incredibly slow response time and that it took me chasing in order to get conclusive feedback. Poor quality and poor customer service. Not something I would find consistent with a premium brand. Will not purchase again and would advice others the same.
Broke down in 6 months
Read our interaction; it speaks for itself…
My email to them (we included pictures):
Hi, we’ve haven’t even had our pans for 6 months now and the bottoms of three of them are already chipping. This is completely unacceptable, especially given the price point. What will you do to remedy this?
Their response:
Based on our review, the issues with your pan appear to be caused from normal wear and tear and are not covered under our warranty. The warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
Ceramic coatings are very hard – i.e. in the same way as Porcelain Ceramics are hard but not very flexible.
Imperfections, such as chipping or scratching, are considered a reflection of the hardness of Ceramic coatings and the fact that we do not rely on chemicals for adhesion.
Another great thing is that our products do not contain any PTFE or other PFAS chemicals, and they are free of Lead and Cadmium.
As the product remains perfectly safe for use, it does not require a replacement.
If chipping is present along the rim, it is most likely due to the way the pans are being stored. It is recommended that your pans be stored with pan protectors, paper towels or dish towels in between to protect them from banging into one another.
Please avoid all abrasive cleaners/brushes/rough sponges as these can permanently damage the surface of your cookware. Only soft sponges are recommended as per our Care and Use instructions that come with your cookware.
We take great care in reviewing all warranty claims.
We have experts who can easily determine whether a manufacturing defect is present.
I would like to assure you that your product is perfectly safe for use.
Our response:
This is the biggest b.s. response I’ve ever received and is a complete attempt to cover up the poor quality of your products. It’s uncontainable that your company expects someone to pay $500 for cookware that chips, call it safe, and expect them to keep cooking out of it. I will be sure to share your response in my review and will be reporting your company to
the Better Business Bureau. You all should be ashamed of yourselves - total crooks. The fact that you only offer exchanges illustrates the fact that this issue occurs enough that you wouldn’t be able to be in business without such a policy. Shame on you.
Are green pans nonstick?
does anyone actually work at Green Pan???
I ordered 2 pans 12 days ago and despite many emails to their 'care' email address and attempts to call someone I haven't heard a thing about when I can expect the order. I saw the products in John Lewis so perhaps wrongly assumed they would be of good quality, and thought it worth spending a bit more than usual... I wish I had read these reviews first…
I have now asked for a complete refund - although I don’t expect an answer any time soon...
Not a good product...
Was really looking forward to using this pan after reading the ads about quality and alternative to the usual non stick pans, but unfortunately after just 1 use of the pan, frying an egg!, the ceramic non-stick coating has started to come off at the edges of the pan?! This isn't what you'd expect from a pan sold at that price point. Will see what happens when the next egg is fried.. actually a bit hesitant... it's Le Creuset all the way...
it's not a non-stick pan
it's not a non-stick pan, it's actually a stick pan.
This would have to be the worst company…
This would have to be the worst company I have EVER dealt with. Their claim to be non stick is completely false. They are incredibly hard to clean and after requesting replacement pans and dealing with their customer service for over 6 months and I'm still waiting for my replacements even after they said they have mailed them TWICE. One tracking link they sent me was for a completely different country. And now I have seen online that their pans actually DO contain TOXINS I'm disgusted. Be warned. Please don't make the same mistake I did by purchasing GreenPan thinking I was doing right by my family.
You need elbow grease rather than oil.
Having spent so much time cleaning (or trying to) our two pans by hand, I gave up on the elbow grease and checked trustpilot. I wish we had before buying. I agree with all of the negative reviews on here: everything sticks and they are impossible to clean. I can't be bothered to annoy myself further by contacting customer service from everybody else's experience. I'm off to buy some proper non-stick pans
the worst frying pan I have been using…
the worst frying pan I have been using in my life
from non stick it became stick just in 3 months
even when you fry oily salmon or something that can not stick by nature
Crazy expensive for this quality
actually no quality at all
when I tried to contact their customer service they sent me idiotic advice how to clean a pan and how much oil to use for cooking
my advice DO NOT BUY
really the worst
DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!!
DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!!! (Don’t say no one told you)
We bought a set from Myer less than 3 MONTHS ago, we thought that a fairly expensive product would do the trick but our Woolworths pan are doing better and cheaper.
They were fine for the first month and then EVERYTHING started to stick to them! We tried changing the oil for Grapes Oil and also butter as recommended but nothing works, everything sticks to them and the worst part is the washing, it is almost impossible to clean the sticky part and takes forever.
We contacted GreenPan over Instagram but nothing, they also saw our messages, asked to send the receipt which we did and nothing happened after, they saw our message and never replied again.
Don’t waste your money, you will be complaining and stressed everytime
That you have to use them.
Useless
Overpriced products. Poor quality.
I don’t recommend to buy anything from this company. The customer service is slow. They said they will reply within 24 hours. I had to wait 19 days for a reply to my complain.
My problem wasn’t solved.
My frying pan only lasted 1 year
My frying pan only lasted 1 year
It is warped and the nonstick is useless. I have never put it in a dishwasher It has always been and cleaned.
I have emailed their customer service is repeatedly to claim on the warranty, but they do not respond.
Avoid using this brand at all costs
Worse frying pans ever
Worse fry pans ever, everything sticks to the pans. And the pot pans chips of the non stick white surface is coming off the pans. I don’t think they are safe to even cook with any longer.. what a waste of money. And I purchased the i tire set.. Live and learn. I don’t recommend purchasing GreenPan products.. 👎
Poor quality pans
Poor quality pans. You only have to look at it and there is damage on it. And if you come into contact with the helpdesk, they will send you a manual on how to handle the pans.
With us they don't even go in the dishwasher and I have 3 pans all with scratches and pieces from the non-stick coating.
price quality and warranty worthless.
Worst pans I've owned
I already gave GreenPan NL 1*, but would like to do it here as well. The quality of pans is very bad. After a few months they were unusable for cooking and had to be thrown away.
I researched an eco friendly pan for…
I researched an eco friendly pan for our family for ages. Green Pan seemed to fit the bill but how wrong was I? The non stick degraded after a few uses and Green Pan refused to refund or exchange as they said we must have used the wrong oil?! What kind of pan is this? Now we have an incredibly expensive and useless pan for our family of four on a low budget! Would not purchase any Greenpan products again.
Worst pan
Greenpan is one of the worst pans we owned! Didn’t even last one month. When customer service was contacted to get a replacement they refused stating that you can’t cook on high heat and load of other unreasonable things. Would avoid purchasing.
