Balanya's terrible support to "the culture"
We are used to going to Balanya's theatres, specially Borras, in Barcelona. One can buy tickets online, via a website where thieves charge you indecent management commissions. But a ticket office is also available. This weekend we arrived at the office and, to our surprise, they shut it down. There was a guy with a laptop, but he did not have means to accept money (neither cash not card). All Balanya's personnel were angry about the fact that the owner had closed the ticket office that same week.
Luckily, we attended the performance for free.
The theatre was almost empty.
That's the way these companies support culture: adding abusive management fees, closing offices, not letting people buy tickets directly in the theatre.
