Established in the mid 1960’s, GT Towing are now in to their third generation of the Thurgood family and we pride ourselves in aiming to offer exceptional service, by well-trained and experienced staff, whilst offering very good value for money both in-store and on-line. Initially established as a supplier of towbars and trailers, a natural progression into caravans was made in the mid 1980's with the acquisition of an established caravan centre. We are privileged to act as distributors for most of the leading brands within our industry and our NTTA approved workshops can offer a range of services from towbar installation to caravan insurance repairs – with a waiting room for those ‘while-you-wait’ jobs. We keep stocks of various domestic and commercial use trailers - a hire fleet too - and, since the closure of our Potters Bar shop, we have an extensive range of roof racks & roof boxes under one roof at our shop between Hatfield and the village of Welham Green.

Excellent service would highly recommend
The premises were difficult to find. Using their post code satnav directed me to Hatfield as did the the post code given to me when I phoned for directions. Eventually used Google maps which told me I had arrived a mile before I saw the premises. However, once there the service was excellent. I also purchased a tow bar bike rack and the member of staff was very knowledgeable and demonstrated the most suitable racks. The car was ready on time and a full demonstration of the detachable tow bar and rack was provided. Will definitely use again if I need a tow bar fitted on a new car, especially as I now know where they are.

Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Specialist parts were ordered and arrived quickly but repairs to caravan fridge had a long wait to be carried out otherwise a very nice experience.

We can see that you placed and paid for an order for delivery to the Republic of Ireland at 18:53pm on 27th September 2022. As mentioned on our website, and explained to you in writing by way of email to the email address you provided, immediately after your order was placed, we are unable to send goods to outside of UK mainland. There will have been no option to select a country other than the United Kingdom in the delivery address section, and all available delivery options exclude any destination outside of the UK.
We offered to send to an alternative UK mainland address, if this would have helped you, or offered a full refund on your order.
As we did not hear back from you, we processed your refund at 17:15pm on 28th September 2022.
This refund was shown as successful, and as per our refund terms on our website, should show back in your account within 3-5 days (often sooner).
We communicated to you by way of email to confirm the cancellation to your order.
This is the first time that we have had any correspondence from you since the order was placed.

Handy Hitch cover
As the winter approaches I usually cover my horse trailer hitch in a plastic bag to protect from the weather
The hitch cover is great as it fits perfectly , easy to get on and off and allows air circulation too . Also it looks smart!
