The company is not transparent at all
The company is not transparent at all. First of all they ask for your payroll and sensitive data and then they tell you the room might not be available. You cannot know who you live with and if you have any question the customer help is totally absent.
Unsafe and uncooperative rental company
The apartment I rented had 5 different major issues, none of which were addressed by them for months on end, including a major and problematic bedbug infestation. There was no phone number to call and hoping for a response via email was a gamble at best. Poor building quality, poor health standards, broken appliances, broken door locks, and so on. Do not, under any circumstances, book a room with this company.

I rented a studio apartment in Lisbon through Habyt, and here’s my experience.
The positives:
The booking process was smooth and straightforward. Collecting the keys was easy enough (they’re kept at a nearby store, though more convenient if you have a car). On arrival, the apartment was clean and in good condition. The furniture was intact, and while the walls had a few scratches, this was nothing unusual. Overall, the apartment felt well-prepared.
The challenges:
On my very first night, after a long trip, I went downstairs to collect a food delivery and was surprised to see a fire outside the building. It turned out to be a group of homeless people who gather there every night. A neighbor confirmed this is a daily occurrence. Unfortunately, this became a constant issue — their presence grew over time, and they were often very loud. Even on the 3rd floor, I was sometimes woken up at night.
I contacted Habyt multiple times about the situation. Their replies were either that nothing could be done, or that I should file a complaint with the city council myself. This left me feeling unsupported as a tenant.
About the apartment itself:
The studio was generally pleasant, but I had issues with leaks and mould. Habyt addressed these only with quick fixes, so the problems were never fully resolved.
Overall:
The building itself is decent and functional, but the ongoing situation outside with large groups of homeless people, combined with unresolved maintenance issues, made the experience frustrating. Also, the people in this building are very quiet and tend to keep to themselves, which can be good but not so great if you're if you're looking to make friends!

Documents were needed for Job center but no one is responding.
Overall a really bad experience with service. Do not recommend it.

⭐☆☆☆☆ One star because zero isn’t an option
I’ve contacted Habyt multiple times about an ongoing issue with a flatmate that’s been negatively affecting the wellbeing and co-living experience of everyone else in the flat. Despite raising the matter repeatedly, they have done absolutely nothing to address or resolve the situation.
Frankly, I’m disappointed by the complete lack of support and accountability. I expected a professional company to take tenant concerns seriously—especially when it impacts shared living dynamics—but that clearly hasn’t been the case here.
I regret it
One of the terrible housing/renting system I ever met. They pay my deposit after three months and inside of rooms were terrible I don’t recommend that all. (Berlin)

The announcement doesn’t match the apartment, the cleaning lady doesn’t come as frequently as announced and they are completely unreachable in case one has a problem.

I cannot express how frustrated I am with Habyt. Before you move in they are all nice and reply quickly, but the moment you move in… they completely ignore you. When I moved it, there was no hot water in the apartment, and I immediately emailed them, and again, and again, and 30 days later still no response. While in the meantime, they put another tenant in the house (knowing that the hot water isn’t working). Complete nonsense. This is just one of the anecdotes I have with them. Avoid Habyt at all cost if possible.
Terrible agency
Terrible agency, don't make the same mistake as me!
I moved in and the apartment had not been cleaned/inspected so last tenant's dirty underwear were still there etc and was just filthy.
There is an issue that they don't check or take responsibility for tenants so there are many security issues.
It is the summer now and my heating is permanently switched on. There is no phone number to contact Habyt - all communication done through a portal - but they don't reply. I am now ill but cannot fix the situation as I'm trapped in my contract.
Habyt knows that the only people who take the apartments are those who are new to Berlin/foreigners/students who have little chance of actually seeking the legal help.
Don't fall for the nice pictures, aside from looking decent, the apartments are falling apart and the company will not help you.

They are really ignorant about the issues and charge the tenants for what is not the tenant's responsibilities.
No hot water, heating in summer and many many other stuff.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS BE AWARE- Delay in refund & its in unsafe neighbourhoods
I have had the worst experience with my recent booking in Lisbon. Being new to the city i trusted Habyt to make the accommodation booking process smooth and easy-- turns out the residence i booked was in the most violent part of the city. I cancelled that booking within the 14 day cancellation period that's their policy but they still took like 3 days to confirm the cancellation while i ran out of alternate accommodation options. I then had to get a refund and choose not to book with them & they told me i would have the money in my European bank account within 2 weeks-------- Well its been 16days and counting i have received neither the money nor a proper response on the refund status . If you are an international student please do not trust this platform-- it'll leave you accommodation less & constrained with your funds while you're trying to navigate a new country/city. HABYT SUCKS!!!!

Last winter for 2 months I did not have hot water and also no heating system,
I have internet issue and nobody takes care of it and the building has cleaning and safety issues
