The flat was dirty

The flat was dirty - kitchen areas and common areas unclean.

Fridge, sink area, Plates and utensils unclean.

Mold on dish drainer.

The kitchen cupboards, toilet and common areas full of items from previous tenants.

Cigarrette smell in the whole flat.

My room had pubic hair in the wadrove and a left behind pair of pants in the window.

Nobody told me if there were people living in the flat

People of roomie (the previous company)…

People of roomie (the previous company) were way better. Habyt support is useless and doesn’t care about tenants. I’d avoid renting with them, tenants are not vetted and you need to be very lucky to find somebody that is clean and able to live with other people. I’ll leave as soon as possibile

unprofessional scammers

they scammed me for a very small amount, which is very unprofessional of them. they told me that I moved in a day before my contract started which is why they charged for 1 night, but it was very clear in the contract and email that the keys were only available on the day that my contract started, so it is impossible for me to move-in before that. after providing all the proof, they stopped responding even when i follow up weekly. what a shame

Avoid at all costs and save yourself from an awful experience

I do not recommend renting from this company. From the start it was a problem, I didn't receive my keys at the scheduled date, I created a ticket where I was told that they would give the highest priority but I didn't receive any further response so I was left to find a hotel until the matter was resolved.
Once I got the keys and went to see the apartment, I was shocked. The place stinks and even before opening the front door you could smell beer and urine.
The toilet was leaking, the refrigerator had brown stains as if it had never been cleaned, there was an unattached door at the end of the hallway, trash on the floor, doors in bad state, etc.
The only think mildly clean was the room itself. I didn't even stayed in the apartment and just left right away, now I want my money back.

The Worst Customer Service Experience of My Life

I initially intended to resolve every issue with Habyt before posting a review, but I feel compelled to share my experience now to warn others. The sheer lack of professionalism from this company is beyond words. They brand themselves as a modern, digital agency, yet their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. I’ve faced countless problems, from weeks without hot water to unauthorized withdrawals from my bank account exceeding 3000 euros. Their customer service? A joke—only accessible through their platform, with no phone number and consistently slow and incompetent responses. Dealing with them has been a nightmare, and frankly, I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. If I could turn back time, I’d never have made the mistake of trusting them, and I can only hope others won’t fall into the same trap.

Not advisable!

A personal contact to the personal is not possible, correspondence is only possible over the platform and in a restricted level via email. Communication is very slow. Not advisable.

Terrible Experience / Privacy violation

Terrible Experience: Unauthorized Entry and Complete Lack of Security

I have been staying at 3 Yong Siak, Habyt Co-living and have faced serious issues with unauthorized entry into my room. On multiple occasions, individuals (including the landlord) entered without any notice or permission, completely violating my personal space and privacy.

The most recent incident was the final straw: I returned to find the wall in my room damaged and one of my fixtures moved. No explanation, no communication—nothing. I immediately reported the issue to their emergency helpline and raised a ticket, but despite waiting for 17 hours, no one came back with any explanation or follow-up.

This place is unsafe, and the lack of respect for tenants' privacy is appalling. If you value your security and peace of mind, I strongly advise you avoid this place at all costs.

My experiencie with Habyt and Erasmoos

My experience with Habyt and Erasmos Room has been quite bad because I think they don't really get involved with the tenants when it comes to solving problems.
I was with them for three years and I can say that it got worse and worse because there are no real people to talk to or to take care of the problems in the apartments. Habyt often doesn't know the real conditions of the apartments they rent.
At Calle del Olivar, 5, the building has been deteriorating and becoming more unsafe. They know this and they don't relocate people.
In May they robbed us, entering directly into one of the rooms and nobody did anything. There weren't even calls to see how we were. They didn't relocate us to another apartment or compensate us financially for not complying with the contract.
Then they were informed that the door of the building had been broken and that anyone could access it and they didn't do anything either. Stairs with used condoms and so on. Neighbors on the first floor who are squatters have broken the main door many times and have the building in deplorable conditions. They steal from people in front of the entrance, etc. It is a building in which they should not have rentals.
In addition, they call you when they are interested in solving a problem, but not when we need help.
In my case, they even asked me to open the door to a new person who came to the apartment, who did not have keys and was like that for more than two days, having me as the doorman. In addition, they never confirmed the identity of this person. They also do not supervise who enters the apartments to live. I had to leave in an emergency because this new person who entered without keys was also a transvestite, who worked at night and wanted me to open the door for him in the early hours of the morning. Anyway... many more details, which make me not recommend this company at all.

Bad communication

the communication was not very good, often did not help at all. I got the wrong key for my apartment, and there was no immediate help. Also, there was only very little information and details known before move in.

Borderline scam. Don't be afraid to sue them

Awful experience overall. The simplest issues take forever to be fixed. Also, they held my deposit for too long, while claiming that they are still within the contractual timeframe (they were totally not).

I was lucky to have received my deposit "only" 1 week after the deadline, and only after I spammed up their ticketing system and threatened with lawsuit (I told them the lawyer is already involved and sent them a final notice letter).

My advice to those who are still waiting for their deposit: do not be afraid to go full berserk on these scammers. Write them daily, give them deadlines, threaten to sue them, and actually sue them if they don't make the deadline.

I hope someone will finally start a class action lawsuit against these butchers.

Dont ever ever do this

Dont ever ever do this! Washing machine broke since one month. Habyt does not even answer. When i checked the appartment the hole bathroom was moldy (1000€) a month. Frigde had stuff in 3 years expired. My room was full of blood and condoms. They gave me 30€ refund. Cleaners that come don’t really clean. Waste of money time nervs everything. There is always solution for everything in life but definitely not habyt haha. Trust me do not do this!

Any Problems with Habyt? You're screwed.

UPDATE 2+ MONTHS AFTER MOVE-IN: None of the issues have been resolved. New responses from me are ignored and if I dare to open a new ticket, it is immediately closed.

Without any issues, the rented flat in Madrid would be overpriced, yet alright. It's somewhat clean because of the cleaning lady once a week.

However, it's not without issues. I moved in 3 entire weeks ago. Upon arrival I immediately reported the big black mold in my bedroom to the customer service. I received a copy & paste response, essentially stating that I should open my window. Anyone who has ever seen mold before will know that opening a window won't make the highly poisonous fungi go away.

After letting them know that this won't help, they told me they would fix it by the end of the week. That was two weeks ago and since then they closed my support ticket with no explanation or fix in sight.

I opened a new ticket one week ago, where the only response was yet another "We'll work on a fix"-Message.

I 100% agree with the other reviews, stating that customer service is pretty much non-existent. I will be more than happy to update this review once this case unfolds.

HORRIBLE LIVING CONDITIONS AND SERVICES

Rented a room with Habyt and the flat is unfit for living. Filthy bathrooms, broken handles, stinky kitchen and greasy floors for a rent of 670 eur, far outside of Berlin.
If you are a student looking for accomodation please avoid Habyt. They rarely respond to your complaints and dont have a functioning phone number or an office.
Starting from getting the keys to getting back your deposit everything is a battle with Habyt
