Service with a smile.

Hafren Furnishers will always be our first port of call when shopping for furniture.
What a brilliant company to deal with. We have had the most amazing customer service from Helen and Charmaine. They have provided the best support possible for us whilst we dealt with a product fault, which was a manufacturers issue. Their professionalism and patience has made the situation so much easier for us to deal with.
Equally as important for any company is the “end service” and this is delivered, excuse the pun, to the highest degree by Dale and Mark. They have always been courteous and friendly, on each of their visits to us.
Helen, Charmaine, Dale and Mark are a credit to your company Hafren and we are grateful for the excellent service we have received from them.

Ordered a Stressless Elevator Kit

Ordered a 'Stressless Accessories Signature Base Elevator Kit' for my chair to heighten it by 3 cm. This was ordered on Friday at 10am. The kit was delivered to me on Monday at 1pm. Excellent speed and service. Would definitely use again. The kit itself is extremely high quality and includes the tool needed to change it. What I did not realise is that it also includes an Elevator kit for the chair's stool too if required.

Excellent Service at the Aberystwyth store

The Aberystwyth store. We went once, and bought a sofa. James helped us, answered our questions and wasn't at all pushy. The sofa delivered on time.
We went a second time and bought a recliner and stool for my wife, again assisted by James. Excellent shop floor skills, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We found that this was applicable to all of the staff at the store.
Then we went a third time and bought three items of furniture that we'd promised ourselves for years! We asked if James was available...and he was! The furniture that we liked was on very good promotion, much cheaper than the "Stressless" company own site.
There are negative views here, which I believe are a bit unreasonable. All of the Aberystwyth staff are really good...but James is "a cut above"

I had to fight long and hard for a…

I had to fight long and hard for a refund on seriously uncomfortable, very expensive, Sherborne furniture. The harassment and attempts to intimidate were unbelievable.

My bank was ready to issue a charge back when the owner finally settled. I got most of my money back, less a few hundred, but was prepared for that to return to my usual supplier (for less than half the price). But my bank also cancelled my credit card because they have the details, yet the girl requested all of them (again) and that is not how refunds are issued. The owner apologised for the delay of one of the many weeks, as he had been at the Welsh Show 'mixing with my client base' for 2 of the days. There was a long silence after this, as I was neither impressed nor responding (just yawning). I would not buy from this revolting and bullying supplier again.

CAB will give you the legal clause to use, if you are within the time limit of the LAW, for a FULL refund. I don't like criminals. Just keep emailing the LAW, which this supplier does not respect, over and over again..., or better still, avoid altogether.

A good experience …

I purchased a sofa from Hafren in the Jan 25 sale and my experience has been very good. They were nearest company that sold the SITS sofa I wanted and I was able to view in store - which was an 1.5 hours away but worth the trip. I couldn’t decide on the colour from the photos I took so they sent me more - which was helpful. One downside was that I wasn’t sent my order details, invoice or details to set up payments and my phonecall to change the foot height wasn’t recorded however, this was all quickly resolved by Lou and she changed the foot height and sent my order confirmation.
I knew my order would take a few months as I’d done my research about SITS.
The delivery people were polite and friendly and checked we were happy. They took all packaging away. I noticed that the feet height were too low and again Lou sorted this out for me and had them replaced. This did take a while but we could use our sofas - so it wasn’t a problem. Again the delivery people changed the feet over were polite and communicated timings very well.
Overall communication has been good, they’re a very friendly team and I’d definitely order from them again.

It would be zero if that was an option

It would be zero if that was an option. Oh how I wish I had read these reviews before spending £4K on an Italian leather sofa and chair.
I could go on an on, but suffice to say that after 4 engineer visits which solved one of the many problems, we are left with a sofa that looks like it has been well used for 20 years rather than 1. The one seat has sunken - and they say this is wear and tear. We have had it one year, and the old 20 year old sofa we had before looked better when we got rid of it! The leather is really poor and every time you try to recline it, it squeaks - apparently normal. What utter rubbish. Purchased just over a year ago and they have denied me a refund.

Avoid purchasing from this company - Hafrens

Would give zero stars if possible. Ordered 2 Lebus Paris Sofa's and surprisingly they were delivered before expected delivery date. When we received the sofa's they were both defective and delivery men took the sofas away. Contacted Hafren immediately and sent pictures and video of defects. We have made numerous telephone calls requesting a refund and they have failed to do so. The quality of the sofas were dreadful and so is the customer service. I would strongly advise anybody thinking of purchasing from this company to think long and hard before doing so.

update -Just received email from Hafrens to say that they have checked the sofa and there are no faults, even though we have provided them with a video and photo clearly showing all the faults. The delivery drivers were also aware of the faults. Such a bad company. How can they deny photographic evidence. We will now be contacting the credit card company for a refund as goods are not merchantable quality. They also refuse to refund as they state that the sofa is bespoke. Rubbish, a bespoke sofa is made to order and not something that is ordered off the internet to a standard size and colour. A joke of a company. Buyer beware of this company.

Beautiful, comfortable and easy transaction

To start, this is the most stunning sofa I have ever had. How we got it was accidental, but a great one! Feeling a bit sore my husband fell asleep on our old sofa on my birthday eve, especially after I’d spent all week away with work, I went online shopping. Happy birthday to me! You can imagine my surprise when I got a call to ask when I wanted my sofa delivered - only a few weeks later! In my drunken state - I was at least one bottle of wine in when I started happily clicking away - I thought it was a scam! Nope - I’d misspelt my email address in my drunken stupor! My husband was rather shocked to find I’d evicted one of the two sofas when he came back from rugby on a Saturday afternoon. He was even more stunned when the new one arrived the following morning with two really lovely and helpful delivery peeps. It was all but two hours later until we were - as a family of 5 - merrily sitting on my happy aging day gift - for me! We did need to evict the remaining sofa on account of the new one being so big! I don’t do measurements with tape - I go by arm width and that seemed to be ‘about right.’
I am delighted with this sofa. It’s stunning, really comfortable and nobody else is allowed on it - viewing times on allocation only. I would definitely use Hafren again - maybe not needed for a while, but definitely will when I decide to shop again! Thank you so much for such a simple transaction and stunning piece of furniture. My only comment is to measure your space -you will not want to send this furniture back.

Awful service and defective item

Item was delivered late, item was damaged on delivery,
Appointment missed to come and review item, rude and incompetent sofa engineer sent out who made problems worse. From paying to recieving a refund and staying home on 5 occasions to deal with it took march through till end August, 6 months and little of an apology and a £50 voucher loving the cushion and candle.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Slow delivery.
We ordered 2 sofas 4 months ago, no problem as we were told this, but they told us "as soon" as they are in they will get them sent straight out to us. Hafren recieved them on Thursday last week and they have only just asked the courier to collect them who have told us we wont be getting them till next week. So it took Hafren 5 days to call the courier and has put another 2 weeks on the delivery.

Can't fault them

I have twice used this company to buy a Stressless chair. On both occasions they undercut my local (Newcastle-upon-Tyne) alternative furniture store's price by over £800, delivered the item for free (as opposed to £70), and within two days (compared with an expected 4 weeks). I got a call to tell me when the item would be delivered, and another after to ensure I was happy with the product. A five star service.

What an excellent company this is

What an excellent company this is, I ordered a sofa and it was out of stock , they rang me to ask if I wanted to carry on with the order, I said yes. Within in the month they rang again to say the order wouldn’t be available for sometime and would I like to cancel the order, the money was in my account within the week, excellent customer service . Thank you

HAFREN FURNISHERS in Aberystwyth do not spend you money with them or waste your time

Dec 2022 my wife & myself decided to spend £3500 on bedroom cabinets & wardrobes. Oh what a mistake that was.THE BUSINESS, treated us to 11 months of HELL. The items that were delivered to us & assembled by Hafren Furnishers Aberystwyth were faulty & damaged. THE BUSINESS promised on many many occasions to rectify the issues but all his promises were lies, lies & more lies. We finally asked for the items we bought to be removed from our house. Another stressful day of the worst staff from Hafren Furnishers Aberystwyth, rude, late arriving, expected to carry out the work until 7pm after arriving at 1645 hrs when they had been given that day to remove them. The communication by THE BUSINESS was non existent his ability to communicate was zero. Once items had been removed our carpet which was brand new only weeks before items were delivered and installed was damaged beyond repair. Once again THE BUSINESS was inconsiderate to our plight so we had to fight to claim our money back for the damaged carpet. This we did and received compensation in full for the carpet. If you are considering spending your time & money with Hafren Furnishers Aberystwyth prepared to be lied to again & again & again. Do not contemplate spending money with them THE BUSINESS made our lives a misery

We ordered a sofa and footstool from…

We ordered a sofa and footstool from Hafren at the end of February. I'd been told that the manufacturers were discontinuing the fabric, but the lady at Hafren knew the last order date for the fabric, and we had time, so we went ahead. It was due to be delivered around 30th May. As it was, I received a phone call last week to sat it had arrived!
So my sofa and footstool were delivered today by two very helpful gentlemen, who took it down into the lounge for me. They were both courteous and helpful. Everyone at Hafren has been great, and I'm thrilled that my sofa arrived early along with the extra fabric I had ordered a few weeks ago.
Highly recommended

***AVOID***

Total lack of product knowledge from sales staff, absolutely no after sales care or care for customers needs in general when after spending £3.5k on a new suite which has defective electrical parts and 10 days on still no apology from Hafren. I took it into my own hands and arranged a specialist engineer appointment to get it fixed, whilst Hafren did nothing to get the problem resolved.

It's all about the money with Hafren, avoid this place!

Good company to deal with

We have bought two chests of drawers from this company and two headboards. All products have been excellent, although we only saw them on line, and were delivered without problem to the second floor of the house.

AVOID at all costs

AVOID at all costs - dreadful company don't care about customers - we bought new expensive replacement manufacturers cushion inners for our tired Duresta suite based solely on their advice which didn't live up to expectations and they simply didn't care - we ended up giving the suite to a local charity.

UPDATE Just ordered some accessories for our new PARKER KNOLL suite, well priced quality product which arrived well before the promised date, from Haynes Furnishers - a totally different experience.

These guys have never apologised and have just hidden behind Duresta.
