I bought A 2008 Mercedes CLC from Halstead Trade Cars two months ago. Although it only had 40000 miles on the clock a gearbox sensor failed after about 4 weeks.

I live in Kent and They understood that as the car's auto box was in limp mode and would only drive in second gear it would not be safe for me to get it to them.

I explained that there was a very good independent garage I have been using for years based in Maidstone which I could get to and HTC were happy for me to take it there and paid for all the work to get me going again. They were great about it all the way.

I had been looking for a car for some time and settled on this one because of all the positive reviews of Halstead Trade Cars. This turned out to be a good decision.

I would also comment on how professional and friendly all the staff are, right down to changing the air freshener at the last minute for the one I wanted.

My mum needed a new car and I found just what she wanted at Halstead Trade Cars. Upon arrival at the showroom Joe and the team really couldn't have made us feel more welcome, we were shown over the car, offered a test drive and left along to discuss our thoughts. The car was immaculate already but Joe wanted to valet it before we took it away. Mum's new shiny BMW X3 was delivered later that afternoon on a trailer, I had one happy mum.
There was unfortunately a small issue with the gearbox that reared its ugly head shortly after delivery. This was not an issue for them, the car was collected again and taken to a specialist gearbox company. To my utter surprise there was no question or "it's not our problem!" from anyone at the showroom. David and Joe could not have done more to get the car fixed asap, and I would imagine at great expense to them. This was over and above service I had ever received, far surpassing that received from several big BMW main dealers over the years.
I would very rarely big up used car dealers, but these guys really are at the top of their game. They are even going to be sourcing a car myself very soon. If you want a great car and even greater service from guys that really care about their customers then you can't go wrong visiting these guys.
