Would never choose to be treated at this HOSPITAL
After taking my 81 year old wife to a pre op meeting, we then proceeded to the Main Car park,
Both my wife and I have mobility issue, I have three fractures in my spine and my wife is scheduled for a total knee replacement on 20th August.
While walking the long road back from the orthopaedic clinic I became overcome with the pain of walking to the car park. I needed to sit down, when I did sit down on concrete steps I fell back exhausted and bumped my head on the angle iron stair supports.
Security were alerted and took me in a wheel chair to the A &E insisting it was necessary to have a doctor examine my head which had a large lump.
I waited four hours, the ONLY THING the clinician done was to ask some details, ant then to proceed to take a blood oxygen test with a finger tester.
After four hours sitting on a wheel chair I asked the nurse how much longer I had to wait to see a doctor, she told me a further FOUR HOURS AT LEAST, ONLY THEN WOULD I POSSIBLY SEE A DOCTOR.
WHAT A BLOODY DISGRACE, NO ONE SEEMED TO BE CONCERNED THAT I, A 80 YEAR OLD MAN MAY HAVE A SCULL FRACTURE.
I told the nurse that I was going to DISCHARGE MY SELF AND GO HOME.
YES I A M STILL CONCERN THAT I MAY HAVE A FRACTURED SKULL.
