Credit Card Service from Hell

Synchrony is the company that manages Harbor Freight's credit card service. I was charged a late fee and contacted them online to have it removed. They did (a good thing) and then advised that I was being charged $2 "interest" even though the fee had been cancelled. I told them I would not pay this and that they should cancel my acct and that I was destroying my card. Now a couple of months later I am being charged $33.95 in penalties even though I have texted, spoken to, and written a letter to them regarding the matter. They are tone deaf. I write this review to alert others as to the ruthless way this card company manages customer accounts.

NEVER download the Harbor Freight App

NEVER download the Harbor Freight App! If you do, you will be besieged in POPUPS and they cannot be stopped! Stupid, unprofessional and irritating! Ant company that designs an app that forces you to see popups without any way to stop them is inconsiderate of their customers!

All tools low quality

I purchased a high end compressor. 1St one went bad after 6 hours of operation.
2nd one has compression issues.
Purchesed 2 framing nailers both mid fire every time. I have to reload the nails between every nail.
Bought a router the Chuck loosens after 5 minuets of use and causes the bit to sink into the wood to deep.
Bought 2 Hercules drills. When ever the wood clogs the flute the drill stops. And I have to replace the batteries constantly due to lack of torque. (I bought 3 batteries )
I will never shop at harbour freight again. And will pay the extra price for name brand tools

There store hours are 8am till

There store hours state : 8am till 6:pm on Sundays.
I got there at 5.50pm and I had to get 2 items.
I locked up my bike and 3 people went in the same time I did. But the manager told me that's it, there closed. Why she stopped me when all 3 of us where going in?
I think it's because " Sam" the manger doesn't like people who ride bicycles and have pack packs. I had 2 coupons to use because the sale ended.
Just to let you know this store isn't bike friendly and the look down on people who carry back packs. Thank you "Sam".

From the moment I arrived, Chad greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine eagerness to assist. Their energy was infectious, and it immediately made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. Throughout my visit, Chad went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, offering thoughtful suggestions and demonstrating a deep knowledge of the products.

What truly impressed me was how Chad handled a minor issue that arose during my visit. Instead of simply addressing the problem, they took the initiative to find a solution that exceeded my expectations. Their proactive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction made a lasting impression.

Fortress 6 gallon compressor

Bought a 6 gallon air compressor two years ago. The air pressure switch quit and the safety valve pops. I called for a new switch and they don't carry them for fortress compressors. Looked all over the internet and couldn't find a replacement.
I will never buy from Harbor Freight again. Be Aware they don't back their products!

I guess they are wondering why they have a 1.6 out of 5 Rating...I am wondering why they dont have a -5...Total ineptitude. It never fails...you go in and want to add stuff to your list but NO you have to log in..your password wont work even though it is the one that was saved by your system...so you jump through the hoop and they are going to send you a reset PW email NOT

Hurricane Milton approaching

Hurricane Milton approaching. Went to purchase a generator. I was told they sold out of generators and that Corporate has told them that the 15-20 floor generators are not for sale. They have about 79 stores in Florida. That means they refuse to help over 1,000 customers in need. What a terrible company with horrible Corporate decisions for people in need. Stay away from this company, they are heartless!!!

About this electric chainsaw off of Harbor freight. And I they made me settle for the same one and you can't keep the can use them for the first time. And that's all you do is fight them and they refuse to give me my money back. I don't want to junk and chain saws I just talked to the corporate headquarters.They won't ban about giving me my money back.I want my d*** money back.I don't want another chainsaw from them or any other product.
Is severe buying anything Don't.
Buy anything off of harbor freight There are the biggest crooks in rip off that you can deal with At three thousand none of them worth it damn I want my money back I paid for a warranty last time to get another chance.But I don't want the anymore.There are chains.I want my money back for the chainsaw.Don't ever buy anything off a harbor freight cause they're ripped off

5000 INVERTER GENERATOR DUAL FUEL‼️

I would have got the extended warranty, but for the additional $300 it just wasn’t affordable

And I shoul of known better

Harbor Freight is disposable merchandise

Pretty much everything is, but these days it’s crap almost always

I’ve had my generator was still in the box up till about 3 months ago.

I purchased it about 6 months ago

The hose to the propane leakes dangerously bad

I’ve used propane almost 100%

But now with 50 + gallons of propane stocked up it seems to just start with some excessive cussing and a jump pack on the battery

I THINK THEY ARE RECONDITIONED PREDATOR BRAND GENERATORS!

I WONT BUY ANOTHER ONE, AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DONT EITHER

UNLESS THEY COME OUT WITH A REAL WARRANTY

LIKE AT LEAST ONE YEAR, OTHERWISE KNOW THEY ARE SELLING JUST CRAP‼️

We all already have enough crap don’t we‼️

Once again a valuable lesson is not to purchase anything expensive with Harbor Freight, 90 days warranty is a complete joke when the minimum everywhere else is 1 yr. Last week bought a set of Roadshock off road lights, $170 each facia clips break and so you have to take the truck apart to return them as they don't have any replacement parts. Bought a welder after 6 months it went bad $700 just thrown away, Welding mask $170 packs up after 9 months once again throw away. And all you get when you complain is "oh you should have taken the extended warranty" great place for cheap tools but don't buy anything expensive. Lesson well learned

IMPOSSIBLE PACKAGING!

My husband bought a hammer and it was in a package that was impossible to remove. We both tried to get it out of the package, and it took a good half hour to do so. We both have arthritis and after this ordeal we were in a great deal of pain. I was ready to take it back to the store and tell them to open the stupid thing! Why is it necessary to do this? I can understand trying to prevent shoplifting, but it could still be stolen in this cursed package! Even though it might cost more, we will be buying anything we need either at Lowe's or Ace Hardware. We've never had this problem there. It is beyond ridiculous.

I purchased a pressure washer product…

I purchased a pressure washer product that didnt last 30-40 hrs run time. I tried replacing it after it stopped working. I returned to the store i purchased it from. Tgey didnt have another in stock so tgey said i was on my own to go track 1 down. Horrible customer service. So i said fine give me a refund. They took a restock fee of 80.00 even though i returned it within 30 days 22days to be exact. Then they black ball me into having it put back on my debit card when tgere policy says i can have it back in cash. Now i dont have the washer or the money. I cant do business and when i cslked to complain nobody gives a damn. Do not use harbor freight. Horrible policies and even worse customer service.

visited the monmouth junction, nj store this morning and was greeted by Mikki with her addressing me by my name and a big help and inquiry if i needed assistance. What a pleasure. Mikki is the employee that all others should emulate. A true asset to Harbor Freight

I purchased a jump starter battery…

I purchased a jump starter battery charger online over the weekend. The website indicated that there was one in stock in the store near me. I called first thing this morning and was told that online orders have NOTHING to do with the store and I cannot cancel the online order unless it's within 3 hours of the online sale. NONE of this was communicated on their website. Another Harbor Freight scam. I am done with this store and advise that no one order from them online.

I always stop by this store whenever we come to town. I cruise every isle, and stock up on supplies. But today, I bearly made it into the store and was struck by the loudest, most obnoxious music I'd ever heard. It was basically someone screaming as loud as they could to the worst banging of instruments I've ever heard. A clerk saw my face and asked to help. I just pointed up and said "this music is disgusting, I can hardly think." The clerk just smiled and said "I'm sorry, but corporate let's us play anything we want as long as it's public radio, so..." then he walked off. I tried, and made it another isle, then I realized...i can get all this stuff at home depot! So, just left my basket full of goodies and walked out. I felt better as soon as I got out of there. Don't know if this is what you wanted, but I will take my money somewhere they appreciate older citizens (with money to spend) by creating a comfortable shopping environment and have more considerate employees. Soo..good bye

Good Customer Service!

I have been a customer at Harbor Freight for a couple years now! I had a BAUER backpack sprayer bought it worked good for 1 day. The sprayer wand broke I only used it for about 1 hour and the mist tip broke, and made it useless. Next day I called Harbor Freight told them that the unit sprayer wand broke and sent them the photos, and they said the unit couldn’t be return due to chemicals. They issued me a refund through a gift card for the amount I paid for the sprayer, the customer support from here is great. I was unsatisfied with the backpack sprayer, but the fixed and made it right! I will keep shopping at Harbor Freight!

NO customer service, just plain ignored all my contacts

I have called the 800-444-3353 customer support line twice and left two messages on their website regarding product support. It has been almost 4 weeks and I haven't received a phone call or email back regarding the item we purchased that doesn't work, right out of the package and the store won't return it. They said to contact the 800 number for support. Guess we will find other sources for our business purchases, if I'm not worth their time.
