The first 2 years with Harbour ISP were faultless. Always excellent speeds (even faster than my stated plan). Then I don't know what happened. Some pretty serious outages (lasting over a day in some cases). I work from home so these have been extremely annoying. What's more, is their speeds are on the wane. I now rarely get my max speeds (100MB) and sometimes it gets down to 70MB which is unacceptable. It's been mostly downhill after those first 2 glorious years.

We are constantly without network

We are constantly without network. They tell us there are outages in the area but when I check it says our area is fine. Everyday we have no internet till 6pm and then its back on overnight then off again in the morning. I have to use my phone hotspot everyday. This has been going on for months. The service provider is the WORST I've ever had to deal with. Stay away

$$ -PROFITS- $$ come before age…

$$ -PROFITS- $$ come before age pensioner & Lismore flood victim.

I live in an isolated valley near Lismore NSW.
All communication infrastructure here was ripped asunder in Feb 2022 floods. Biblical destruction U cannot understand till U see it.
Prior I had internet & phone via copper-wire.
At 73yrs age I need to have a connection to friends & for my own welfare.
I contacted HARBOUR ISP to get the NBN Satellite Internet.
The NBN contractor came & installed hardware OK.
Then after eight days & lots of expensive 1300 phone calls to HARBOUR from my nearest village shop (20km return car journey) to get HARBOUR ISP to connect my internet at their end I still had NO Internet.
I was totally frustrated with HARBOUR & their incompetence!
SO I took up SKYMESH ISP & was joyfully CONNECTED IN 24hours.

HARBOUR ISP’s first monthly fee was to be $120. But as they had NOT supplied any service after I waited eight days to get internet.
Therefore I told my bank to stop payment to HARBOUR.
Five weeks later HARBOUR was exponentially billing me for $560. Obviously preparing to send out the debt collector when the fee reached epic proportions.

I contacted the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.
After a LOT of letter writing the TIO reduced the bill to $220.
I did offer HARBOUR to pay the initial months $120 in goodwill.
But HARBOUR demanded their POUND of FLESH & $100 MORE.

I am already financially stressed as an age pensioner &I lost my garage in a land slip during the floods.

Worst customer service EVER

Worst customer service EVER. My internet as been on and off for the last 6 months (yes I know I'm way too patient) everytime they fixed it but it never last. Yesterday I waited 40 minutes before someone even answer. They said I needed a higher level technician and that I would get a phone call in the next 20 min. Guess what... no phone call! I got back in touch and waited again for another bandaid fix that lasted 4 hours! Yep the internet worked for 4 hours!!! I'm back on the phone now, waiting, searching online (on my phone since my house internet doesn't work) for another providor.

Terrible customer service

I cancelled my subscription (due to the terrible customer service) but they kept charging me for months. I have emailed 14 times and they responded once and that guy just gave up and stopped replying with no resolution.

I can't really call as I have no reception at home but one time I was on their chat software on their website waiting for over an hour, ended up calling over VOIP and support said: Oh yes, I saw you waiting on chat.

Crazy charges & customer service…if you can call it that

Harbour ISP charged me for a year even after I switched to another provider and called for cancellation. They say they have no record and it’s up to me to prove it. I said check your data. They confirmed 0 data used by me for a year. Doesn’t that make a case?
No to Harbour ISP.
I asked to disconnect today. They said they will keep charging me for the next 30 days. I asked, why? They said that was in their policy.
You must study Harbour ISP Terms & Conditions and graduate before you can trust Harbour ISP, which has been taken over by Uniti. So Uniti has a share of the blame for this poorly-run, money-sucking “provider” if you can call it that.
I inquired about my previous recurring charges, which went up by $10 per month without my knowledge. They said I must have requested it. I said you asked me to prove I called to disconnect a year ago (how can I prove that?), I’d like you to prove you had permission to charge me more. Their response? Last year their computer system was changed so they don’t have access to that information. Good excuse for them, no excuse for you.
And yes, as with the other reviews, when I once was connected to their service, their outages were a constant. Never, ever sign up with these guys. They will rob you blind and not care about your feedback. This company should return everybody’s money!

HORRIBLE

I have spent more than 10 hours on the phone with harbour and they make me want to rip my hair out during every second of it. Most days we have no connection at all, other days it is slow or drops out quite often, making working from home impossible. Their customer service team is RUDE and ARROGANT and UNHELPFUL and i have honestly never had such a horrible experience with a company. They refuse to refund for periods there has been no internet, we even had a technician out who clearly stated he could see there was no internet. ONTOP of refusing a refund, being unhelpful and rude, now that we are fed-up and need to connect with a different provider who can actually provide us with internet, they are pushing a $300 cancelation fee "as per the contract" even though the reason we are cancelling is because they are incapable of providing me the service i PAY THEM FOR in the first place. Horrible.

Terrible service - Regret my decision to choose HarbourISP

I purchased FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) from HarbourISP through their website a 24-month package, which included a wireless-router/modem as part of the bundle, after a third party service recommended them, on Friday 29th Jan 2021. Immidiately after, I called their sales and informed the sales representative to activate my internet service on next business day: Monday, 1st Feb 2021. Moreover, I requested them to deliver my wireless-router/modem next business day. The sales representative on the phone informed me that my internet will be activated next business day as per my request: Monday, 1st Feb 2021. She also promised me that HarbourISP will send the modem via express delivery in 1-2 business days if I choose to pay express delivery charge: $20, instead of waiting for a week (5 business day) which is standard delivery. I accepted that to pay express delivery charge, as I needed the modem next business day. It's been 3 working days already: 03rd Feb 2021 and I haven't heard from HarbourISP. No modem or tracking number received either. Their website says that they provide 7 days customer service; so I called their support number (1300 847 201) multiple times which they aren't answering. I then contacted them via Email on this email address: support unitiwireless.com. I have received prompt but "useless" responses from their email support contact. The support representative doesn't know how to track my modem or whether my modem was dispatched or not! Also, the support representative informed me that my internet service hasn't been activated and he can't inform me when will the service be activated! I have been soo frustrated with this experience and I regret my decision to go with them. I am now left with very little time to find another FTTP provider in my area who can deliver the internet service + modem in such a small time. I can't survive without internet as I work from home during this pandemic! Terrible service: Harbour ISP. Don't go with them people!

No net EVERY evening, have to use my phone for 6-7 hours as hotspot instead.
Absolutely woeful overseas customer "support".
The 5 star ratings are bs.
Will be contacting Ombudsman to ask if 17-18hrs of net is considered a service.

BEWARE

Hello, I strongly Advise you stay away from this company as I spoke to them...6 months ago, I was asking for internet, and they didn't explain to me things properly, now they send me messages with fake charges and debt collectors...I have reported them to the consumer fairs of Victoria and they will not see a cent from me. They didn't provide me with any service and I cancelled a no contract deal after 1 day...because didn't explain what was going on and said yes etc. On top of that they try and charge you exaggerated late fees etc...and when I try to speak to them over the phone they reject me. They have no knowledge of good business practices. Thanks
