Received what I ordered in a resonable time

I ordered four 12" shelf brackets from Hardwareworld. I originally purchased four 10" brackets from Menards, but they were too short so was happy to find the same brackets that were a bit larger (though double the price).

The brackets arrived in a box with no extra packing material for protection and they were really dusty. The sticker on the bracket stated 12" however when I put the supposed 12" bracket against the 10" bracket I purchased from Menards, they were exactly the same size and exactly the same bracket.

I emailed customer service at Hardwareworld about the discrepancy in size requesting the correct size brackets be shipped or a return shipping label be sent so I could send back the wrong size brackets. I received a very condescending reply that the product description states these brackets are 10". I never thought to read the description since the heading clearly states these are 12" brackets. And, these 12" brackets are identical to the 10" brackets I already purchased.

I shipped the brackets back which cost me $12 along with forfeiting the original $15 in shipping fees. And, the Menards brackets which were identical were half the price of the Hardwareworld brackets. I won't be back.

It was a replacement mailbox, so we are looking forward to installing it. Ordering was simple on line and the followup with tracking, etc was very helpful.

Easy to find what I needed. It was in stock, and easy to order, and was shipped quickly. Item(s) were exactly what I ordered. This was my first order with Hardwareworld. and I'll be back again when I require something else.

One thing I have learned about online shopping... If you don't have to, don't give your full real name. I attempted to make a purchase of a very small item from this site. I filled out my normal information and the payment supposedly went through enough that they needed to issue a refund, but they insisted that the address for the card was different from the one I put in. After canceling the first order, thinking I may have input the address wrong by mistake, I made a second attempt with the same result. They wanted me to send them a picture of my full name and address listed at the top of a phone or utility bill. No company online has EVER asked for this and what allot of people don't know is that this information can be used for identity theft. Do not buy from this company AND DO NOT send such a picture or information like this to anyone requesting it.

I found them online and thought I would give them a shot. They more than exceeded my expectations. I had some questions, so called the customer service line. The representative was the most friendly and helpful customer service person that I have EVER dealt with. She went above and beyond to find the answers to ALL my questions, left no stone unturned. My products arrived promptly without any issues. I have them installed and working great. I have another order on the way. I will continue going back again and again for all of my remodeling and project needs. Thanks Hardware World!!!
